I have also been slam dunked to come early as the soon kueh was long gone when I visited the stall and it was before 8am. Was told by the auntie that some customers would buy hundred over pieces and nothing is left for other customers. Once it was a special trip and since then I do not bother about the stall since they do not care about small customers. What they should have done is to limit number of soon kueh each customer can buy or take advance order of those who buy in bulk. Hence, you can hear many customers made wasted trips. Heard in the video can call in but will they accept phone reservations of 3 pieces which is just the right portion for me.
Let me post on their Facebook.. an absolutely important suggestion to limit the max item to purchase if they didn’t place advanced orders. Many times those Chinese biz men.. just buy out the whole place for their own clan.

Not unusual. Some people opt for chee cheong fun with si yao sok yao only which is savoury than sweet. For this their soy sauce and oil has to be fragrant.
