I’ve heard so many very inspiring stories about people this weekend. Most were dirt poor, but they never felt that way. A community then was nothing like people call it today. I know this as true as my parents opened a small grocery store as WWII was winding down. It was really a house, but with the help of my Grandmother and especially Grandfather who had connections in Chicago, he was able to get good that this very small store could sell. People came and wanted more goods as they wanted a local grocery store. Well, when my Mom left her welding duties in California, they got a loan to build a bigger grocery store. Existed until the 90’s.
My brother who has passed, was as myself a big Jackson Browne fan. I missed taking him to see while in town. I think of him every time I hear this great musician
Truely, one of the greatest American composers of my (or any ) generation. This music will endure the passage of time. Thanks for sharing!!! Peace to all my brothers & sisters........
About a 47 drop, pretty sure he will be 75 years old when he tours Australia 🇦🇺 later this year. Like Jagger and Elton with Joan Baez right behind, who performed in her later years before retirement, that's what you call a champion all round musician who stays on. Brilliant stuff Jackson Browne. 👏 😁👍
"When it comes to movin' me, you know you guys are the champs." As one of the guys who survived only a little damaged from doing this from 1982 until 1987, I always tear up at hearing this song.
Thank you! 👍 You do not have to know the man 😔 personally to 😘 and really care for because he gives you love, peace, freedom, joy, and even to some degree; freedom! I 💬 that is how I interpret your statement and it is the same for me
This goes out to every human being at the time in his/her life when they wanna retire and go on with the rest of The Highway of Life in quiet solitude, may this be their anthem.
Song came out when I was a freshman in college; still feels like yesterday. Love Jackson’s music, a genius singer~songwriter~pianist. Ooof he’s so handsome too with that glorious song dark hair!👌♥️
i have a tear in my eye as I sing along with this song. That's the greatest compliment I can give an artist. This song moves me. It makes me feel something. That's the whole pont.
Jackson brown you are a music artist that didn’t get the recognition you so much deserved I have sat and listened to you music with a tall drink and just took it all in after a long day of construction work and you helped my day come to an awesome end ! Keep on keeping on brother
Didn't get the recognition??? Are you serious?? He is considered one of the very biggest and best recording artists ever with countless hits and music recognitions! His hit songs played on the radio for at least 20-3 yrs straight. I guess you had to be around in from the mid 1960's, 1970's 80's and beyond!! You must have missed it. Cheers 😎
I'm 72 now. It's all in the rearview. Still remember you Eagle. We were young roadies. Don "Eagle" Phillips. Google him he was the best. Love y'all. Glad you're still listening in 2023😢
I too have always been a huge fan of Jackson's, all these songs bring back how much i have always loved him. They put tears in my eyes hearing them again. I remember how handsome he was and still is. Songs from my youth, make it easier to handle aging. I would have missed this point in time and it would have been a shame.
I was introduced to Jackson Browne when I received some of my brother's tapes who had fled from South Africa in 1980; only to be exiled in Sweden and consequently died in 1990. I only knew Patrick Swaze's "Dirty Dancing" version. When I heard Jackson Browne I never let go. I still have my brother's tapes.
The beauty of UA-cam is revisiting those classic artists from our youth. I suppose I should check out some 40's music that was original 27 yrs before my birth.

When musicians had to have raw talent. God bless them all. I'm so thankful I've been around to see and hear all the great bands. JB has always been a favorite. Love this song. Love the man. Thank you Mr Brown. Great music and amazing memories.
I love this song by Brown. It gives you a sense of how it really is. From the routine to the exhilaration of pleasing the crowd. In reality, that would be so outstandingly wonderful! What a rush!
I love this song, seems I have been struggling with depression and this song helps to bring me back to reality, wish I had someone I could explain it to, depression really sucks! You sometimes think alcohol and smoke helps but it just takes you farther down the road to were you don't want to be

Thanks. I like this song and the album. I heard this song by chance in a replica of the late 1970's and copied it to tape. A few years later, licensed recordings were released in Korea. I bought the record and have it for 30 years.
