Apologies for the confusion regarding this tier list. The determining factors for me in establishing tiers are the level of difficulty, the potential loot that can be obtained, gimmick and the opponent's likelihood of doing a coinflip. Some monsters are categorized as tier A, such as the guard, because it's an iconic enemy. However, once again, this tier is relative. For new players, almost all enemies will feel difficult if they don't know how to defeat them, but for experienced players, some tier B and S monsters will feel easy. As for the Darkness Beast, why is it at the top tier? It's because its battle is scripted, and based on its resistance in RPG maker, it's immune to K.O, so technically it can't be defeated even if its HP is reduced to 1.

As someone who knows little about fear and hunger, only being recommended a lot of this content recently, and never played it…
Seeing “no loot” and other wars of saying “a waste of time and risking your life and limbs when pointless” is both terrifying and fascinating. I don’t think I could play this, you guys are something else 😆

@@Tacobellcramps When you lose a limb in the game, the loss is forever. And you have to start over again to recover them.
As if the dreadful enemies is not enough, you have mind and hunger meters which if depleted completely can cause serious
problems to your character. It's too easy to have game over in this game.
You know how you wrote “there is no incentive to seek out a fight with them” on a couple of enemies? You should have probably just copypasted that onto almost this entire list lol

Guards are very chesseable, cut down arm whit the cleaver. Block rape, attack torso, block rape, attack torso

Well, it's cool during fights but looks about as bad as the worst rpgmaker games in the overworld
@@anarchistpoops161 The wise man knows that the worst rpgmaker games use the default tile/spriteset. In all seriousness though, i's still definitely not as good as the encounter art, but the rpgmaker series has never been known for its high fidelity overworlds.

tl;dr: no, it isn't stunning to look at, period.
Is literally the only piece of fiction that have ever made me feel ANY amount of fear, out of countless games, animes, series and movies, and a few dozens of mangas and books... And it wasn't just a "little bit" of fear as oppose to none at all, nothing in my life other than video-game bugs (verzephobia) have made me more terrified than the atmosphere of this game *in the earlier upper levels!* Videos of body-builders falling dead on stage due to overdose (weirdly as i don't know why this expected outcome unnerves me) have got me a little scared but just a bit, and flying cockroaches are scary to anyone (don't lie!), but both those things are far less scary than this game. Only 3 movies, 1 game and 1 anime have ever made me cry, and only video-game bugs in games have made me more scared than this game (which don't count as fiction since it's a technical issue). laugher and anger are usually the only emotions fiction works can get out of me. This game may not trigger me a extreme visceral phobia reaction like a giant floppy super buggy 3D humanoid moving in a absurdly weird way, but in made me *VERY* scared and *VERY* afraid, when heights or gunshots and the most unsightful horror scenes and cars going fast with me inside or weird sounds in the dark or roller coasters have all failed to scare me miserably. I know that exchanging gunshots myself (not simply hearing them while not being the target of any gunshot) or being attacked with a knife by madman or predated by a big feline or bear or shark or snake would definitively make me scared if i were to ever be put in these scenarios, but i have good reason to believe i am quite resistent to fear... Yet i will never get to the lowest levels of Fear and Hunger, this game must have been developed by a truly twisted soul!
So again, no, this game's art is not stunning, *period!*

I'd say the white angel soul is by far the best soul in the game, gives you 100% escape option from every enemey that you can escape from, gives you a free turn every turn and if you use En garde you can attack 3 times before the enemey has a chance to attack, broken soul

I'd argue salmonsnake offers more utility since fast attack already exists, but it is still an absurdly good accessory (and being able to always escape is nice)
@@piranhabones I'd take 3 free turns for 98% of enemies. The best utility in the game is killing the enemy before they attack. And the 2nd best utility is escaping any fight you dont want to have
Also fast attacks needs 1 turn to activate and you dont have the 3 free turns prefight

What is the criteria of this tier list? Some enemies are low because they’re harmless with no loot. Some enemies are high tier because they’re hard. But then some enemies are low tier because they’re hard with no loot?

The criteria is probably how cool and/or interesting a boss is to them, taking into consideration of both lore and gameplay attributes
Yeah was thinking this aswell, the list is super inconsistent like the dude didn’t play the game. Trortur basically the weakest enemy and goes to C while the dogs are really tough to fight at first and theyre D.
I think the fact that there is no incentive to fight darkness and you have guarantee to run away should take it down a notch.

Based on the clips I saw I'm not ready for this kind of stress in my life right now.
this game is extremely hard, but funny enough if you know what to do certain enemies like guards or yellow mages become super easy to kill
except for the elite guard, in my opinion he's by far the most dangerous nonboss enemy

I place Jaggerjaws in B they always attack in duos and can absolutely trash you if you're solo, they do a lot of damage and they have a coinflip instakill.

You can do certain gimmick with human hydra to get a lot of items.
@jungleslime I was saying that specter for example, maybe he can be one tier above. but not at the same tier as the non attacking npc despite the loot you can get with him in a very non intuitive way
