Interesting comparison thanks. Having just ordered the brushless table saw, it would be good to see like for like batteries tested for run-time. I only have the older batteries so can't yet judge.
The new batteries that's available now also give tool a bit more power over the old batteries. Your table saw will definitely have more power with the new style battery as they are made to run the hp stuff. The high energy batteries will also give more power but im not sure if they will give longer run time over the old batteries though 👍
In Ryobi's advertising you can see the battery cells are not in a straight line. Probably because the 30T 21700 Samsung cells are bigger. It's interesting to see the 3ah has more power, because it uses only one row (5) of cells. The 4 and 5ah use 2 rows. I am curious to see the difference between the 2.5ah and the 3ah...
Ta for the comprehensive demo, and, another new tool vid!... 👏🏻 Also had a new toy arrive at Chez Venomator today... 🤪 ✅ As for batteries, I think you’re right, the HE batteries are supposed to work intelligently with the brushless tools to supply to their demand, all clever stuff apparently and way beyond my simple mind... 🤷🏼♂️ However, the one real benefit I do notice, is the 3Ah HE battery is so much lighter than the 4 & 5Ah - so I have one of mine permanently affixed to my impact driver and use the other where the weight saving makes life easier... 👍🏻 😉
Yeah I must admit it will be nice having a smaller battery with just as much grunt to use. So its new tool day for you too mate. What did you get ? Anything exciting 😀. I also got something other than the battery so that will be in tomorrow's video 👍
@@TheYorkshireMix It was NTD - my bargain 390W Pillar Drill (RDP102L) arrived... 👏🏻 Managed to set it up from scratch without destructions having watched every video available in advance... 👍🏻 Looking forward to your new toy vid... ✅ 🤪
@@Venomator. nice. I just missed out on 1 of those from homebase when they had the sale on. They had 1 in stock when I set off but someone beat my to it so I've been looking at 1 from lumberjack instead. That might be something coming later in the year those 👍
The 3Ah was impressive on the circular saw. On the jigsaw however, I'm not sure. I have the same jigsaw and it is a beast. For now, the only Ryobi brushless tool I have is the Jigsaw. All my other Ryobi tools are brushed so I'm not going to rush spending money on the new ones. For me for now, I'm fine with my 4.0Ah and 5.0Ah ones that I have. Very recently I used quite a bit my cordless Ryobi planner and cordless planners are also a bit power hungry. I didn't have any complaints whatsoever with my batteries. The issue regarding batteries, is that people many times buy tools that demand huge power from a battery and they just use small batteries, for example, 1.3Ah or 2.0Ah. You have to use the battery size accordingly with the tool. For my drills, if not using very large drill bits, I just use my smaller batteries and the big batteries for demanding tools, mitre saw, air compressor, grinders etc. I noticed in the background a structure made from 4 pistons and a camshaft, (I think it is a camshaft) is that a table? Thanks for sharing the video.
Yeah it did have a good improvement with the circular saw. As for the other tools I think the standard 5ah gave almost just as good results. I should have tried a brushed tool too but I didn't think about that till after I made the video lol. I will definitely try it though and slip the results in my next video. Yeah I also see people trying to run tools like a grinder with a small battery and it just doesn't do it justice. Yes it is a camshaft on a lamp I started making some time back but never finished. It only needs a light putting in it now though 👍
@@ruinunes8251 🤣 my excuse is that I need to find the correct lighting setup for it lol. Im thinking something battery powered so I can use it as a garden light 👍

With all those tools now, you don’t have an excuse why you can’t finish it. 😃
