I’ve been teetering on the fence of getting back into Exoprimal for awhile now, I bought the game day one and was so excited to play but none of my friends wanted to pay full price for the game, which is understandable but it still left me a bit bummed out… This video revitalized my anticipation to play Exoprimal and I thank you for it, you did a great job and consider me subscribed!
Started playing shortly after it released on gamepass and it sucked me in so hard i had to take a break lol. Looking for my moment to get back into it, but life's busy. Getting older sucks sometimes 😅
Keep up the good word brother. Thank you for giving a positive take. Doesn’t seem like we get enough of those with the reviews not giving it the wholesome shot it deserved
That’s the developers fault. They removed parts of the game to add during progression, but added next to nothing for the first like 5 hours of gameplay
This game is just so much fun. Fast paced non stop action. I played 100 hours in season one, did not play it at all in season 2, glad I came back to play more, there’s nothing like it on the market and I genuinely have way more fun playing it than Helldivers 2 for example.
Good vid, would love to c your thoughts on how the game could improve. I enjoy exoprimal but the way matchmaking kinda forces you to replay story missions (Friggin maverick) and the cutscenes are unskipable, or the fact that your mission dificulty or what kind of pvp end game you get is tied to the player with the lowest progression. Exoprimal can definitely be something special, but its progression system and the fact that the game actively hides its best features really hold it back.
You probably would've loved Lemnis Gate while it was still afloat. The "4D chess / FPS hybrid" label alone made it stand out, but the problems you name for Exoprimal were eventually its downfall. Most players only seem to be interested in dull, low-to-the-ground FPS games that are basically just shooting galores, but the Steam reviews alone prove that there is interest in games that make you tilt your head and think "this actually seems like a really cool game". Hopefully, Exoprimal will fare better
I actually played Lemnis Gate a bit the first time I got Covid. I was a bit loopy from the illness and behind on reviews so I never wrote an article or made a video about it. But you're right, it was something special too. It was already pretty much dead when I played it, so I only really got to test it with bots and my partner. I would have loved to have seen it take off. I'm a sucker for time loop stuff as it is and it was such a cool idea for a game.
I had a lot of fun in the beta, I'm just waiting for a sale... Hard to justify spending so much money on video games year after year when the cost living keeps sky rocketing. I feel like games like palworld and helldivers hit the sweet spot and are thriving for the same reason that exoprimal is fun game, but also Not thriving due to price point and expectation. I surely thought exoprimal was going to free to play when i saw it was having an in game store and that the game was multiplayer only. Personally i think it was a messed opportunity to go F2P and grab even more players.
I have a huge interest in this game and I completely agree with making more games as "gamey games" and not trying to make everything artsy-fartsy movie cinematic "masterpieces." Step one of gaming should be to make it fun to play. I think people have forgotten that the word "play" is accompanied by the word "game" and who wants to play something that isn't fun? I'm tired of hearing, "it's an okay game but oh boy is it a visual marvel." Uh...you can make a turd as pretty as you want...it's still going to be crap though. Thank you for making this video. I will get this next time it goes on sale or consider game pass. I would argue that this game did what Anthem was going for. Too bad they can't combine Anthem with Exoprimal. That game was fun until it got repetitious, but the ideas were good...and it was pretty LOL.
The game is so much fun, the fact that hardly no one is talking about it is criminal. The sentences he said at the start of the video about people hating it because its not Fortshite oh I mean Fortnite or COD, is 100% True
IDK about the other two but I have a combined 700 hours in warframe so i think i can say this is different enough to Warframe to be compared. Even if its about the Necramechs, since they are slow and bare bones while these are are actual class based mechs, and it has a more team work focus than Warframe in which EVERY single frame can be effective on solo SP even Trinity which is supposed to be the support frame.
I dunno man, being a sucker for mechs I absolutely dig the designs in this game, however, the gameplay looks braindead boring & dull to me. And even more, the whole core PvE gameplay loop that is centered around exterminating dinos looks like such a waste for those gorgeous mechs tbh. In my eyes, it's a game of STUNNING customization that involves mechs with beautiful fast paced combat (and movement that is neither a dufus boost-thruster sliding from AC6, nor a slow-arse boreride like Mechwarrior 5*) but all that is placed inside a very wrong & hostile systems and surroundings that just do not support them. I wish Exoprimal would be an arena centered action game instead, I really do. Maybe not entirely dedicated to shooting, maybe with a combat built around combos (and/or stamina management but not all DMC blazing), and PvP only, no dinos, period. (*note: those 2 games are excellent each on their own & in their genre, I'm bringing them here simply because EXO looks like a perfect inbetween, an ideal middle ground FOR ME... until the PvE dinos part comes in. That's where my excitement breaks, and I just mourn over the mechs stuck inside a gameplay loop & setting that feels cancerous to me)
3rd reason be like "It's unique because it's PvPvE!!" Nah I doubt that I bet it even the biggest turn off for people. PvP and PvE playerbase are like oil and water they don't mix and so far I've seen two game done it(Hunt and Tarkov) and they still not as popular as pure PvP game.
Appealing to niches is okay, and I do think that people, in general, should try to broaden their horizons a little. Especially if they have access to Game Pass.
That arcade aspect is what keeps bringing me back to Exoprimal on occasion. I'm glad Capcom are sticking to this title for a long while
i'm so scared of this game dying.. It's literally such a innovative concept and with such cool combinations for me
You managed to hit all the amazing points at how this game shines. Thank you!
By the way, are you in the official exoprimal discord? I really like some of the folks in there and we as community have to stand together!
@fl0wey578 I am! I'm rarely active (I'm in a lot of discords) but I lurk a bit and chat every now and then.

I just started playing this and I gotta say it’s the first multiplayer game in a long while that has got me hooked

only just picked up this game recently and have certainly been enjoying it in a casual way.
Picked it up the other day and i'm loving it :)
I just got the game on playstation and I've been having a blast with it, I don't get the hate
I haven't played it for a while just before my 63rd birthday and love the game got many MVP matches playing as barrage.
Not sure if other platforms have it, but Cretaceous Eradicator has kept me grinding.
Thank you!!! After watching this I am going to give this game try!!!
0:00 - 11:27 Intrigued. Potential purchase at deep discount one day.
11:28 - Mentions Lost Planet 2. My people. Immediately purchases Exoprimal.
No game like it, love it.

Alright, alright, I’ll check it out again
I only cant get back into it bc the story hasnt been updated at all. The ending had such a broad horizon to expand upon and they did nothing with it
My only complaint is the Exp gains are too stingy. Its really only worth playing during double Exp weekends.
I just got into this game a week ago only to hear that it is dead...ouch
Youve convinced me
I like the game but it feels like it's one of those games that doesn't get enough love until many years later sad this always happens I wonder why
The monster hunter collab had me very interested.
But you sold the game to me.
so hyped to get into this game tomorrow 🎉

Jus started today I dig it🤷🏾
Great video
But I can definitely say with absolute certainty the negatives HEAVILY outweigh the positives

I love this games it’s fun
i was expecting EDF, when i saw the gameplay i was like nah
The game is so much fun, the fact that hardly no one is talking about it is criminal. The sentences he said at the start of the video about people hating it because its not Fortshite oh I mean Fortnite or COD, is 100% True
I’ve never played Fortnite, and I hate COD. I will not be playing this game.
Uhh Warframe, Mechabreak and First descendant ect, might be a better choices for sure..

Fuck it, I’ll try it. It’s on sale
I love the game. Witchdoctor
Kriger
Roadblock
Deadeye
Those are go to for me. I can MVP with WD and Kre🎉
Roadblock is definitely my favorite!
You left out a not in the title
What's wrong with exo. It's just a game you can hop on and get some fun. You must like quick time event and cinematics.

You want great detail about what's wrong with Exoprimal?
Or simple answers?

How are flesh and blood creatures a threat to metal mech suits? The majority of the seasons to play this game is true of nearly every game
Exoprimal is the worst game that I want to love.
This game is terrible. I dropped before 1 week.
Go play siege fortnite call of duty or apex and get off this kind of video
1,000 reasons you shouldn’t ?
Game is lame
