Morning Stewart. Informative vid again sir. I think it was around 1978 that my mate found a leather furniture shop tucked away in a Mews at St Albans in Hertfordshire. He loved his throw-over leather stuff for his Harley Davison. But his panniers never sat right and kept moving. He showed the husband and wife team his problem and they said they could do as he asked. They made and installed leather straps that picked up on the rear rack and the seat strap all made to measure. And where ever slots were cut into the leather, chrome eyelets to stop splitting were installed. Was he chuffed at the end product! His throw-over leather panniers never moved again even when one side was heavier than the other. And you're right, dropping a bike on a muddy feild for example causes less damage using soft goods. Safe enjoyable riding till next time 👍.
I am so glad I bought my pannier rails and bags years ago(based on your review) Unfortunate that they are discontinuing them. Not a smart move, in my estimate.
Water usage complaints, eh? Sounds like those viewers are on the brink of a triggering at any time. Maybe these watchers, should they be riders, ought to check their Greenie habits as well. Ugh...these people.
Thank you for this review! The more I see reviews about all Royal Enfield bikes and accessories, the more drawn to the brand I become. As RE expands offerings and dealerships in the States, they are making it an attractive choice. Pricing is also very favorable

this is the exact video i needed after your last one, I commented about getting a leather pannier bag. Low and behold, here we are. Ill probably be getting one similar to long rides one in terms of size
Great vid! Could you please do a detailed vid on how to mount the Rambler? Please? I bought the pannier frame and using the Rambler's hooks, the bag sags really far off frame. Yours looks very secure compared to mine and I wish I knew how you did it

I wish i was a next door neighbor. I could really give one of those bags a good run for its money. I am a inexpensive kind a guy. I buy quality product and thats it. I dont make things mine other then a sticker. As for bags, i cant see investing in bags for the price. I want a one side unit for the W800 Cafe and want a tail box on my Concours. But both are over 300 dollars. A backpack cost 30 and a 100L backpack with a trashbag cost 30 dollars.
Just look at use and money tightly as i spent time to earn it. Anyways loved this video, as i dreamed of what could have been on my bike. Have a great weekend and call your kids! They are to busy to call you...😂

I have Hepco Becker chrome brackets (to match my chrome bronze 350) and I hacked french soft bags from Spaan with Hepco Becker "interface"...the result is amazing !

Brilliant video as always Stuart, and those are very practical bags indeed. I've had GS Adventures and don't understand why owners of these bikes, carry the panniers an a Sunday ride out. I have plenty of LOMO bags myself 😊👍🏻

Excellent video. In fact perfect combo of videos.
HD cable ties work great but can become consumables if you need to remove them regularly.
A tip, If you wrap the ties around several times, you can cut them off just under the head, pull out the dead bit and use them again with one less wrap each time.
Shortened basic cargo straps also work well.

Glad to see you didn't waste the water - this will be a positive mark on your social credit score and will help you keep your bank accout 😉. PS panier racks add to the character of classic bikes, whereas on modern style they're functional but 'orribl😜

Hi Stuart, there is news that the J platform Bullet 350 will be released in September in India. Is it also being released in the UK.
Its Mr T I am using at the moment pedle bike rear panniers by raleigh cycles until I can c something that better them them and its something else when trying to get motor cycle boots to fit peg and gear lever as lever has to b moved up a notch
People complain about the strangest things... Like the looks of the leather bags, classic. But we have the same weather problem here in Montana, it changes every 15 minutes. So you to suffer from distracted shopping syndrome? Thankfully there's no cure, ride safe.

Depends what you call long distance I suppose. Ive done 500 mile weekends on the mule. I believe the mini mule will be just as capable. In my youth I carried out 1200 mile tours on a 125 single, 2 up with camping equipment.
