Doesn’t look like it;) koreans start to catch up most of the time offering more for less. And awd/4wd systems is not an exclusion as you can tell

The old one has traditional automatic, the new one has dct.
@@lukaszq1187 but the Q5 has a pneumatic suspension I believe and not sure it's a proper comparison for this kind of test.

@@kknapik We have to find private user with Highlander, that won't be easy. We won't get a car from Toyota cause in the past they were pushing us to delete some Rav4 tests so...

I learned here that by how smooth the car leaves the rollers, you can somehow predict how it will do in the real world. Just getting off the rollers when 3 wheels have slip isn't good enough to actually get good real world performance, because really small intervals of grip are enough to leave the rollers but not to climb a hill. You'd just be getting back and forth with small inputs. Hope this is understandable😅

I think the 2019 did A LOT better. Both have VERY competent AWD systems. And equipped with the proper tires they can get through just about anything. There only drawback is the 7.3in of ground clearance. However, if you know it's limitations regarding that. It is BY FAR more capable then say a Chevy Equinox or Ford Escape. Both of which don't have a "locking diff" button that the Sorento does.

Jestem pod wrażeniem jak działają te napędy biorąc pod uwagę cenę chyba nie ma nic lepszego obecnie na rynku , a co Wy sądzicie na ten temat ?
Ciężko powiedzieć. Na pewno układ kontroli trakcji jest dobrze zestrojony (choć przy dłuższym mieleniu kołami zdarza się, że wyskoczą błędy abs), ale test na rolkach to za mało, żeby ocenić całokształt.

@@ФаридБехбудов-ж7б If all wheels are spinning then there are no problems. Errors may appear in certain modes if three wheels are spinning and forth doesn't.

Do Hyundai and Kai share their 4x4 technology? In other words, would a Hyundai Santa Fe perform as well as these Kia models?

same technology but different programmation... and maybe a few difference in the clutch pack ( no center diff, it's a clutch pack in both) both of them are made by Magna

I had a 2013 Santa Fe Sport and later a 2016 Kia Sorento. I don't think the Santa Fe marketing material ever mentions Magna Dynamax AWD like Kia's does. The Kia did perform better for me. Daily driving was better and it was more fun in the snow.
IMO Gen 4's 4WD performs a bit smoother. Also problem with Gen 5 is that only diesel models have the terrain control 4WD. How about a test repeat with petrol models on both model gens?
If I get petrol versions I will compare them.

Gen 3 Sorento is 2016-2020. Gen 4 is 2021-2022+. I have a 2019 SXL AWD. Prior to that I had a 2015 SXL FWD Gen 2. (Both using the Lambda II 3.3L V6)
@@GlassWolfLH Gen 1 is 2002-2009, gen 2 is 2009-2014, gen 3 is 2014-2020, gen 4 is 2020-now.

Of course there are variations between the markets but generally that's how they show it. And believe me, I don't really care about being wrong or not about it. If you enjoy it - good for you. No question about it. And that's why i LOVE my 2019 Sorento SX AWD V6. Equipped with the proper tires, and knowing it's limitations with only 7.3in of ground clearance. You can get through quite a bit with it's "locking diff" button. Something a Chevy Equinox or Ford Escape would struggle with since they don't have that locking feature.
HTrac is just a name used by Hyundai, it's the same system underneath.
