Long Layover in Shanghai?? Try This Secret Airport Hotel!!

- This week I'm doing a quickie one-of since my pup is sick :( Regular videos up next week!
It may not seem at face value to be Japan related, but I can assure you if you fly budget to Japan, you have a HIGH chance of a layover in Shanghai! Much of the budget airlines in Asia hub here from international airports, so it's not uncommon to see people on 22+ hour layovers sleeping on uncomfortable floors and corners in the terminal.
This video is here to show you how to get to a great deal of a hotel that's very close, affordable and clean. It also has a very worthwhile bar, several buffets everyday, and amazing rooms that I'll show you here! It's almost hidden away, and asking for help might lead you into a scam cab but I promise it's easier to get to than some of the flight clubs in the airport itself!

If you guys decide to go here, here's some extra comment tips!
1. Keep a picture of the logo of the outside on your phone. I can't read Chinese, so matching the font up will help you find it!
2. Ask security for English support, and ask for help getting there. DONT GET INTO A CAB
3. Breakfast buffet is fire. Do the other restaurants instead of the dinner buffet.
4. Most downstairs businesses are 24 hours, so is the museum :)

Holy crap, I wish my wife and I had known this for our honeymoon last November. We had 20 hour layovers both to and from Narita. I could actually see where we waited for our hotel shuttle from your room lol. Keep up the good work. And we will remember this for next year

This is an awesome video! Been to Shanghai and have had long ass layovers there - 22 hours at a time and i have stayed at another hotel which was $200 a night. $60 sounds more like my speed. Thanks for putting this out, i really appreciate it. And yes, i agree, after a long flight, a hot shower is the BEST! Aloha!

Were the beds hard ...checked in a hotel in Chaing Mai and checked out an hour later because of the beds. Our stay was for 7 days.
@@jeannettebrock2537 They weren't at all for me! I'm sorry to hear that. But I don't recommend this place if you're staying for more than just a long layover! If you have time in shanghai there are waaay better places in-town to go :)

Certain airlines offer free accommodation for long lay overseas which includes breakfast
Forgot to mention. The metro and the Maglev are at easy reach from Dazhong. As you said, don't take the cab when you can take a metro!

Have you ever flown with China Eastern? It seems to have a lot of cheap flights but also bad reviews so I’m hesitant to try it.

@@ThatsMyChadAh cool! I was looking at some ways to cut costs and an option that came up is a pretty long layover in Seoul. I toughed out a 14hr nonstop flight that was more expensive last July. But since the group I'm going with aren't extremely used to planes (and trying to save money)...I'm hoping to kill 2 birds with one stone with a layover in Korea (or something?)
sakurasunshin3 Seoul has in the international terminal a cubby hotel that’s dirt cheap too! And you don’t need to leave the airport ^_^ check my Korea videos, you’ll see it on there!

gaurav rajdeva you need to get the temporary visa (at least I’m American and I had to, not sure about other countries). But it’s called the 72 hour transit visa and it’s for people specifically to get a hotel or something for long layovers and you can get it at the airport if you ask the staff for it.

If you have long 22 hour layover, Don't be a dummy and spend the entire layover at the airport. Go out and explore the city. Duh.
LAB-Lil' Angry B!tch most people arrive at 10 or later at night. After a 14 hour flour, sleep. Lol then wake up the next day and explore.
