How does an Argo do in the Mud?

  • We have had a very wet summer in Alaska so there is a lot of mud. I took my HDI Argo out into the Alaskan backcountry for a little test drive. Even though I have had it out a lot, I am always surprised how it does in the mud.

We love our ARGO. It's one Kryptonite... getting high centered really easily. Glad it's not only us.

    Great ride!

Awesome demonstration and good camera angles! Good endorsement of Argos.
I always enjoy watching someone else on the end of the winch cable so really liked that sequence. 😊

Personally, I like to watch someone else do the winching too.😂 I wasn’t sure if I should show the winch scene or how to splice it together so it made sense, but didn’t take too long. Thank you for the feedback.

I do have a video coming up where I take it all apart to do repairs on the frame and so people can see how it’s all built. Additionally, as per your request, I will do a trailer in the field video as well.👍🏽

When I first built the trailer, I put together a series of pics of the build and a little highlight reel of it in the field. I just went back and watched it to see if it showcase what you ask for. I will say, on a different note, it’s amazing how small my kids were.

To answer your question, it depends on what tracks you put on it. The Standard OEM tracks don't do so well, but it appears you have the Adair Tracks. Those do very well in mud and snow.

@@BigPoppaOnAQuad My tracks are Adair 👍🏽. And I would agree with your summation, they do very well in the mud.

If Bill Dance can have Ranger Boats sponsor his fishing show, Argo needs to sponsor your moose hunting. You are a rolling advertisement for their product. Don Draper and Peggy Olson could not come up with better marketing than what you are doing with your videos. 👍

Guys you could do with a couple of land anchors. Join them together on one winch cable , and the more stress you put on them , the deeper into the ground they grab.
