PLEASE READ THIS! Hello Friends, I wanted to warn you that there is a scam going on where someone uses my photo and name (Fifty Plus Beauty) to reach out to you in the comments section telling you that that you have won a prize from me and asking you to go to an App called Telegram to "collect" the prize. These are scammers responding to some comments claiming to be me, or saying you have won something. This is a scam and please do not respond. Beth

I want to thank you with all my being! I'm turning 50 this summer and I was never taught anything about loving myself and caring for myself....I set me aside raising 8 children of which 5 are my biological children. This past year, all heck broke loose with my body, " what's my purpose ", am I a good child of GOD, my baby is graduating in 2019, looking old with loose skin after a 125 lb weight loss ( from my couch ) after a work related spinal injury . I've just felt lost , scared and emotional. You are such a beautiful soul and you have given me such inspiration and hope. I may not be able to afford the things out there to improve my appearance with lotions, surgery,
make-up and pretty clothes but, watching you has given me a sense of how to love myself! You're kind, genuine, classy, graceful etc......thank you for all you give to myself and others! I hope I am able to achieve to look , feel and be as beautiful as you are! You do make a difference.
With gratitude, prayers for you and yours!
    Kathleen

Perfect timing! ! I have just started noticing that I'm getting jowly and I don't like it. I need to try it, and I'm so glad you showed us the best way to use it because I don't need any extra lines.....Thanks Beth!
I love today's card! I try so hard to show happiness and love. Love is the universal language. Everyone "understands" a warm smile, a hug for no reason, a compliment. If everyone practiced showing love the world would be such a gentler place! We are surrounded by so much turmoil on a daily basis that it feels good to make someone smile. My husband and I started the practice of performing random acts of kindness each day as an experiment a couple of years ago and we felt so much love doing it that it's a practice we've continued and we try to do something each day. It doesn't have to be big....buying coffee for the person behind you, saying something kind to someone who looks frazzled or sad, etc. A simple kind word can change someone's day AND you will start to feel so much love and happiness. Hugs Beth (:

Hi Beth, You are so right. Living in love and giving love is so important. If each of us did just a little more of that, the world would be a much better place. I was so interested in hearing that you and your husband are practicing random acts of kindness. I would love to do a video about that. If your cell phone allows you to take a video, would you consider letting me send you some questions and you could answer them in a video on your cell phone and then email it to me? I totally understand if you don't want to do this, but I think your experience doing that would be so wonderful to share with the other ladies here. If you would consider doing that, please email me at bsnyder@familyhealthamerica.com and I can send you the questions. You and your husband are very lovely people. It warms my heart to hear what you are doing. I think it would be a wonderful thing to share. Love to you, Beth

FiftyPlusBeauty I'd love to Beth! I think it's a practice that is incredibly beneficial to everyone involved. Our hopes have always been that the practice will expand and that people will realize how good they feel practicing random acts of kindness that they will pay it forward and it will eventually become practice in a large community of people. We also believe that God blesses those who do good deeds for Him, and you receive blessings tenfold. I'll email you (:

Great vibes. Here's the only issue with mouth exercises. They necessarily subject the mouth to dynamic force and this causes depletion. This is not a reason not to do them. It's just something to watch out for.

Very happy to have come across this lovely ladies posts........for all of you that have been writing in with comments on the negative side.......just stop and think for a moment.......this lady is very pretty.......at the ripe old age of 60.......to still stay this way even when surgically enhanced or assisted......takes some doing....and she is clearly kind enough to share these tips with us.
I am British....so will use the description of myself as being an "old fart" of 67 3/4 years........yup nearly 68.....and I look in the mirror and cant help but laugh at myself during this ageing process........
You see you do really have to work harder as you age ......in order to maintain any nice aesthetic features that you are used to., and why not.
However many times I laugh at myself ...when for example I had hair loss last year.....and was very lucky to have corrected this ....I breathed a sigh of relief ....then found I have bone lose in the upper teeth......corrected that.with brace and higher level dental cleaning.....
then found I have marionette lines .... correct that .....
Then my HRT starts to be not systemic enough as I am finding it is needed in the vaginal tissue more.
So.....what did i do ......I changed the HRT for a topical cream.......and was rewarded with a nice fuzzy beard lol
Do I give up noooo not at all ....as I have this wish that when I die and they chuck me in my casket ,...I want to still look the best that I can be .
I am like many other old ladies very very happy with "me"......we just like to see the me inside match the me outside.
At the end of the day you cannot make a silk purse out of a sows ear.......meaning if you are aesthetically challenged even a great surgeon can only do so much.
Beth was born pretty....and there is nothing wrong with her or anyone else doing all they see fit to do to maintain this.
I will end on a trivial note.......I suppose all this effort does have it's rewards ....it tends to scare men of your own age group away
and bring to you in it's place , a life experience.......such as my future marriage to a tall handsome sports teacher...31 years younger than me ........yes I told him that our age disparity was ridiculous ....and that I am ancient.... and that I would kick the bucket before him ( die) .......but it made no difference.
May Beth's channel continue to grow.

    • @FiftyPlusBeauty
      @FiftyPlusBeauty  6 років тому +4

Wow! LOVED your comment Antoinette and congrats on your upcoming marriage! He sounds like a wonderful man and you are so right. It DOES take effort to try and maintain what God gave us many years ago and some women make that a priority and others don't and I am fine with both viewpoints I just choose to do what I need to do to try and maintain it, and you are right, for some of us - me included - that does take some medical or surgical procedures which I personally am not opposed too. I think it's an individual choice for each of us and I understand the benefits and pitfalls of both sides. Thank you SO much for your nice comment. I am SO with you!! Congrats again!! XXOO
PS That's interesting that older men sometimes shy away from your improved self - I have noticed that about older women too...very sad!

I have been using that for about 4 months. I figured out how to do it so I don't get lip wrinkles. The results from this are AMAZING. At 55 I regularly get carded buying wine. Well, not that regularly, because I cut way down. Cause alcohol is not our friend in the anti aging department. I was so motivated by the results I got from the facial flex that I added more exercises for eyes, cheeks, lips and neck and the results just keep getting better. They feel really good too.

You’re coming reminds me that maybe I should look into all that again as it totally makes sense that it would work. You are so right that alcohol is not our friend in the aging department. It wasn’t my friend in about any department but I have to admit that quitting drinking 20+ years ago was one of the best things I have ever done in terms of remaining more youthful looking. There is a look that older women have who drink a lot and it is not good! I am really glad looking back that I quit alcohol. It is truly one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life. Blessings to you and please stay safe by staying in today.

You are so welcome Sandra! I had all therapy once years ago and it didn’t work either. Hardly made a difference at all I think. I am so sorry you spent so much on it. Recently, I have started doing face yoga and I have a couple of videos showing my before and after results in my routine I am using. I have had even better luck doing the face yoga on jowls more than the device. I have been doing the face yoga for about a year now and really feel it does help for him up that area. Love you and thanks so much for being here with me and watching my video. I really appreciate it.

@@maggiemizrachi513 Having used that "Dollar Tree plastic gadget" that cost about $60.00, I can say that it does work. When one realizes that the face is the only part of the body in which the skin is attached to the muscles, it makes sense. The repetitive muscle movements like frowning and laughing is why we get wrinkles, and why Botox, which deadens the muscles, eliminates forehead wrinkles. When someone exercises their facial muscles, they can improve the shape of their face and lift their skin.

It’s actually to put your cell phone in the middle of but it’s a small diva ring that you could stand on the other side of your desk when you were on the zoom calls. The light is very pretty and it only cost about $30.

Beth, you never cease to amaze me with your gadgets! Although exercising your facial muscles as a means to "Lifting Sagging Jowls" sounds interesting, there is no credible evidence to support it, so gadgets like these often rely on just anecdotal evidence. I couldn't find any reputable research that supports the premise that exercising facial muscles minimize skin wrinkling, and sagging. In fact, the opposite appears to be true; when the facial muscles are weakened, or temporarily paralyzed with Botox, or Dysport, the skin of the face lies flatter, and wrinkling is minimized! We certainly use, or exercise our facial muscles constantly (I have bruxism, so I overexercise mine!). Unfortunately, it is not lack of use of facial muscles that is responsible for the changes we see in our face, over time, but the deterioration in the structural components of the skin (Like elastin, collagen, and hyaluronic acid, etc.).This results in the loss of subcutaneous fat, and sagging. Gold standard therapies currently include cosmetic surgery, and injectable fillers for those who are interested. Until there is any credible, reproducible clinical studies that support the premise that facial exercises lift sagging skin, and reduce the appearance of skin wrinkling, I won't be purchasing the 'Facial Flex' device, but that's just my personal decision! Great to see you again, Beth; hope you are doing well! Love, and hugs, Sweetie, Sherrey.💘

Another tip I have heard is to put vaseline or another rich moisturizer on the area prone to wrinkles while you do these exercises (you can wipe off when you are done). The reason is, wrinkles develop in part because the unlubricated skin gets stuck in a wrinkled position. Petroleum jelly helps soften the skin so the wrinkle doesn't hold as well and become permanent.

    • @FiftyPlusBeauty
      @FiftyPlusBeauty  3 роки тому

Thanks so much for that great tip! That sounds reasonable and I have never heard of that. One thing I try to do is if a certain face exercise movement is going to cause a wrinkle I will hold my skin tight so the wrinkle can’t take hold. Nice to see you again!

Quick question and let's be honest, have you had a facelift anytime in your past? I ask because usually when you have one done the tell is in the yes. And no I am not hating ion it because we all take care of ourselves no matter what but we really need honesty.

Rats on that auto spell correction it mess up some things😂😂😂. What I was trying to say is you can usually tell in the eyes, and that I could understand if you did because we all try to take care off ourselves. I personally am 63 years young and work very hard at taking care of my face and body, and it just ticks me off when we women are being sold on something that is just a waste off money. I would say go see an esthetician and get an evaluation on the skin for products that can help whatever issues one might have and use it. But at my age I have tried my share off gadgets and why promote them. But again I am not trying to hate on you that is just how I feel and more them likely many women my age as well. God Bless

Roy, I am 58 and have never had any work done, but take good care of my skin and do facial exercises and red light therapy to build collagen. I also avoid artificial blue light and have iris installed on my computer. Neurosurgeon Dr. Jack Kruse is a good source if you want to research how blue light destroys your skin. Beth does not appear to have had any work done by the knife. She looks great.

OK girls, it's gonna take a man to teach you kids how to use this without getting lines. lol When you're using the Facial Flex, take your two, or one, index & middle finger, put them on your cheeks right above the laugh lines and lightly push up. Do this while you're doing all the exercises. This will most likely stop any lines from happening. See, I'm not as dumb as I am!! Let me know what you think. Thanks for listening!

I used to have that device. It broke after a few months of use. It does create strengthened muscles. It is just a fact that if you work muscles that they become toned and stronger. You can get the same effects using isometric exercises. It's is a good idea to keep your face muscles toned because as you age muscle tone drops throughout the body if you do not exercise. The skin of the also sags if the muscles underneath are sagging and no makeup is going to hide that.

I don't mean to be rude, but she has obviously had botox between her eyebrows and on her forehead, filler in her nasal labial folds and a mini facelift to lift the jowls and neck. The corners of her eyes are slightly lifted, which is one of several telltale signs I see. Her facial exercises no doubt help her maintain the work she has had, but I'm a little offended that she isn't being honest about it.

I am very transparent about the work I have had done and always just feel free to ask me. I have used Botox for years on my forehead and crows feet area. After the under chin lipo I still had jowls and i believe the facial flex really helps that. I am totally open and honest about what I have had done. I actually have one of these stored away somewhere. The problem for me, is that because of an old car-accident related TMJ injury, it caused me too much pain. So if you have TMJ issues, take it easy with it or find something else. I am tempted to try it again and just not overdo it. I probably overdid it, knowing me.

@@natureasintended actually Kathy Lee Griffith on her show had a guest years ago who suggested that we open her mouth really wide lean the head back and use the lower jaw to close the mouth while the head is back stretching the neck muscles. Supposedly that would tighten the muscles under the chin and the neck and I wanted to get rid of or minimize the look of a double chin and what this actually did was cause loose skin under my chin and on my neck which probably can only be corrected by surgery now. I believe that if skin is not as elastic then pulling and stretching on it will cause it to not bounce back and possibly make the situation worse. There must be another way to exercise the muscles in your face.
