    If you pull your lips over your teeth and put your lips into an oval as you use the device you are not puckering/pursing your lips as you exercise. I believe there is another UA-cam video that shows that. Its a great device and using this along with facial exercises you really can make a difference.Great Video because this is a nice device to add to your anti aging arsenal.

    Facial Flex has a UA-cam video on how to avoid getting the marionette lines while using the product. I watched it just before watching this. I am going to try their method and yours. We'll see! Thanks so much for wisdom and kindness - and you look fabulous - inspiring!

    Thank you for the tip on the Facial Flex! I have resumed using the Nuface again the same time you resumed again after seeing your video on why you started using it again. It was so great to see the photos and all the details that you noticed and showed that made me realize that I NEEDED to get back on it again! During the LONG time I quit using the Nuface I got terrible jowls and looseness in the jawline and now I am working to help stop and reverse it. I haven't used the Facial Flex but your cheeks and jawline looks so good I think I will add that to it. I am so glad you told about the wrinkles around the lips! That is the last thing you want when you are trying to lift and smooth your face is have lip wrinkles!! Thank you for the great info!

    Thanks Beth! I had the same experience with the facial flex. It definately worked to firm up the lower face and cheeks but it caused lip wrinkles. What I do now is just use it 2x a week and I will try your trick of holding my mouth while doing the exercises. My guess is your good results came from using the facial flex and not the NuFace. When I used the NuFace I saw very little difference and it was too time consuming. The facial flex is effective and quick just wish it didn't cause lines!

    Dear Beth...very good tip thank you as I do have facial flex and need to start using it more...facial exercices are really the most effective face firmers!..I am a big believer....when I skip my morning ones I feel the change...and even during a day we need to throw a grimace here and there when noone is watching lol...I am so used to your dark nail polishes...I call them Beths signature nail colour....you inspired me to get one while back.

    Thank you. I use Facial Flex and this is great advice. Have been waiting for this vid. I had filler placed in my jowls and then I lost 10kg (writing from Australia - so that's 22 pounds), so now my face is going even further Down Under. I might invest in a NuFace...

    Hi Beth! I wanted to update you on a procedure I had done about 5-6 months ago. I had the very expensive hair treatment PRP which uses your own plasma to rejuvenate the hair follicles. There were no guarantees on this procedure going in. I had bald spots, thinning hair and my hair actually stopped growing. Ughhhhhh. OMG, it took 3-4 months to kick in and what a difference. My bald spots have filled in about 70% ( I still have some stubborn areas). I have new growth at the sides and around my face. My hair is thicker and it's the longest its every been in my LIFE. It's about 4 inches below my shoulders and my husband loves it. I take very expensive hair vitamins from the doctor ($90.00) a bottle and i use a special shampoo and conditioner from Amazon. Let me tell you, what a difference!!!! Everyone is noticing the quality of my hair, and the length. I still get split ends, but my hair looks extremely full and healthy, not brittle and broken off. (When I went to get my hair highlighted, the girl asked "what are you doing to your hair? Your doing something because I've never seen your hair like this and it's gorgeous now!" ) It was very expensive for the treatment plan, but I rationalized that I put one kid through college debt free, and I'm paying for another one, so it was time to splurge on myself! My husband love my new hair. When I saw the before and after pictures at the doctor's office they were thrilled for me too! I'm not sure if the other areas will fill in, but it's better than it was before and I just LOVE it. It makes me feel good about myself.

      Wow Janet, That is just awesome news! Can you please send me info on where you had that done? My email is bsnyder@familyhealthamerica.com. Also, I would love to know the vitamins you take. I just cut my hair off and am kind of regretting it. I would really like to try something to make it healthier and grow more quickly. I think it's GREAT you spend those funds on yourself. It obviously was a wonderful investment as you look great. Life is short. We only live once. And you deserve it. Love you hon and congratulations! XXOO

    Yes this facial flex action will give you lip lines and stretch out the philtrum (upper lip area), sadly. That’s why I’m love Microcurrent ( NuFace is meh sorry I know you love it). When we over stretch the philtrum no exercises or Microcurrent will shrink it back. Only surgery or fibroblast will shrink it. So when you do your hand over top lip to fix that also push up on the philtrum very slightly so that upper lip doesn’t get longer and longer and longer.

      Hi Kristine. Thank you so much for your very knowledgeable information! I also love the new face and use it every morning Monday through Friday. I've been using a similar device called FLEXAWAY for years---its premise is exactly the same as Facial Flex, but it looks more like one of those mouth guards used in sports. It comes with a 'lip guard'---this little white piece of 'foam' which is slipped in the mouth behind the upper lip before exercising...it acts as a 'block' to prevent the area from making too much of a 'pucker' move. While I am happy with my device, I've often wondered about the Face Flex, and have considered purchasing one to do a comparison. Has anyone in this forum tried BOTH? They really are effective, and a wonderful addition to any facial workout program. :)

    • @FiftyPlusBeauty
      @FiftyPlusBeauty  6 років тому +1

      Thanks so much for that Karen! Great info! I will check out the Flexaway as the mouth guard sounds like a very good addition. I have not been using any of my facial tools for about the past three weeks as I just had my Mohs surgery incision revised and I can't use any tools that would stress that. I am really feeling saggy lately! I think they do work! Have a lovely week! XXOO

    after trying to disguise my mini jowls with a contour stick in a cool darker shade to recede them, i found it just muddled the entire area, no matter how judicially i place it
    hmmm. so i thought i would try an illuminating concealer (maybelline) to lighten and brighten the whole area directly under the jowls and chin, it’s not sparkly or anything, just brighter
    guess what? MUCH more convincing and successful

    Hi Beth, we ladies need to always make sure we're smiling. I learned in elementary school that we use more muscles in our face to smile than to frown.
    Listening to you speak about this device is super interesting. It makes sense. Now I have to tell you about this thing I bought at least four years ago. It's by Serious Skincare,. It's facial toning system. There's a website seriousskincare.com
    It has three different programs.. the first one is deep toning you do for four to six weeks. Then, program to you do once a week or whenever your skin looks tired. When you're happy with the way your skin looks you maintain it by using program number three. Two to three times a week. Essentially it's like a TENS unit. Except you're not sticking to your face you're using a petroleum jelly on your skin and moving it around your face. I do believe I've seen another company with one that has one electrode you use on your entire face. This one is me because it has two so you can do both sides of your face at the same time. So you can literally be done in short order.
    I couldn't help but think about this device when you mentioned having the results with the first one but then Rippling on your face. Like an overworked muscle. That must be why this system has the three programs. Have a beautiful day, Rita

    First off my lips don't look like yours when I use the facial flex... my mouth is in an oval shape. Secondly, according to directions you are supposed to tilt your head up slightly while using it. Also... it helps to hold the corners of your mouth up with your index fingers while you are exercising. I also use a small amount of coconut oil on my face while exercising. 🌹

    Great tips as always Beth 😘 ....I have been using my FF for nearly 3 months now and have seen most improvement on my left side jowel. My right side jowel is a bit bigger and definitely more stubborn! I have 2 questions please - (i) what strength bands are you using? and (ii) with your Nuface, do you do more 'passes' than they suggest along the jawline? Thank you for all your advice! xx

    • @FiftyPlusBeauty
      @FiftyPlusBeauty  6 років тому +1

      Hi sweetie, I just use one band until it seems to get lax then I add a second one right on top of that one. In terms of the NuFace, in addition to the standard program, I also do two extra holds. I hold the two probes up and down just to the side of my mouth and right on the jawline. Then I move it about an inch away from the first spot and do it again. I then do the other side. I also do two extra holds under each cheekbone. I put the two probes right under each cheekbone and hold it there for two counts. XXOO

    Great Demonstration. I just ordered the facial flex and I just start using the Clareblend mini microcurrent a week ago. I’m planning on using both simultaneously.
