I like to use TrimDynamic instead of smooth when sculpting shapes out, makes it easier to define planes. Another way is to lower Smooth intensity, it will become much more controllable and won't erase forms instantly.
Thank you alot. I am sculpting 4 - 5 years, but i made lot of those mistakes you were talking about. I believe this is that video i needed for improve my skills.. Thank you alot
Just bought zbrush and your course a few days ago :) really enjoyed it! I still have a long way to go but it gave me a good start! Thank you! Hope you guys do more courses like this!
“They have a cave troll!” But in all seriousness, bridging the terminology from digital sculpting to painting was a brilliant thing to do. Medium specificity is so important.
In the beginning I like using trim/select lasso tool in combination with Mirror operation to test new silhouettes. Usually I would disable Perspective to make a symmetrical cut across the sculpt from the side view or make a cut on one side and then mirror it to the other. Of course, do not forget to turn the Perspective back on or you might end up with a weird looking head O.O
Do you guys have any tips for hair in Zbrush? Stylized hair with curves seems to take a long while, and Fibermesh is a completley different beast in itself.
Could you guys take this into Arnold or cycles and render it out ? I'm asking cuz even us 3D artist need to know the basics of the full pipeline. Maybe even give him some peach fuzz, show us how to export essential maps
Guys, i have a doubt, i sculpt in blender and once i start using alphas for high frequency details, the volumes changes along with the details, which brush do you is best to add details without affecting the secondary forms?
hey guys could do u guys do a livestream explaining your workflow as you go along in realtime, i know you gys have made those kindda videos but i think a livestream would be more intuitive
how about sculpting human mouth closed but WITH cavity, while focusing on having the wanted shape when closed, at the stage when we use subdivisions. The mouth corner is especially tricky, can't figure out a good workflow for that....
Hey, thanks for your tips. I`m glad that i find your channel in beginning (i`m just started learning). I have a question about creating characters: how do you start? Do you creating characters using zspheres, or blocking out with simple shapes, or pulling out form from sphere? I understand, that everybody have own way to achive their goals. I was trying zspheres, but im stack with form i create. But before i was sculpting iguana, and there i was using simple prmitives to blocking out form (that was much easier to me). Is zsphere`s technique necessary to build form or its just a personal preference?
Well if you ask me, I peffer doing a different part of the shape as a subtools, for an example: I'm making a character, I would start sculpting a head then I would make a new subtool and sculpt a neck, then I would repeat the process with torso, arms, hands, legs and etc. Note: I'm not saying that this method is right and that your method is wrong, if you like a method with Zspheres then I won't complain.
@@windy2551 well, thanks for your report. It's very interesting what workflows people have. I'm beginner so for now I don't have a preferences I'm just trying to get used to zbrush) Main purpose why am I asking is to understand what way (this way with zsphers or yours with subtools) have more practical use. Now I really like start with sphere, but I understand that it's more for advanced users, but with this approach so interesting create from imagination.

ZBRUSH COWBOYS UNITE!!
Ur RDR2 ID?
I cant afford it, so maybe instead of a cowboy I can be a pirate? (Jk I have never pirated Zbrush)
12:00 instead of doing that you can also apply "smooth peaks" to keep some of the major detail
You guys are the best, for real!

These are such useful tips. Thank you so much.

Great tips guys! Some really good ideas here.
hello sir I'm a 3d modeller completed my course and looking for job opportunities and your tutorials are very helpful so thank you
Very informative, thank you very much !
Could you make a video on when to sculpt head and body separately and how to deal with seams(especially on the neck)?
Thank you.
Awesome video guys , have you taught about doing a creature texturing tutorial focused more on the base color stages , specular etc?
Its already one the list :)

Yeah it's really tough to do a professional style sculpt when you haven't shaped your base model well from the start!
It really is! Proper shapes makes a world of difference
Sir plz make a video on how to sculpt human full body pore details in zbrush from scratch.
Very helpfully :) Could u make a tutorial to shoes?
Thanks guys!
Thanks for watching!
I wish you would have showed the actual progress and how to put in eyes and teeth

Zbrush functions in a different Ecosystem to Blender.
Awesome stuff❤️
Thank you!

keep the mouth slightly opened, closed mouth is hard to get into

It's really just personal preference.
Zspheres are great, and if you combine them with dynamesh it's really powerful
