- What’s up y’all, Restless Gambler here and in today’s video, we’ll be going over sanji vs katakuri again. It’s still a big topic in the community so let’s try to squash it again! Like always make sure to like subscribe and watch until the end!
Sanji vs Katakuri is a debate I kickstarted my channel off with and still, after 10 months of it being uploaded, the battle is still as heated as before. And in today’s video, let’s put some more effort into completely squashing this debate for good.
What’s up guys, Restless Gambler here, and in today’s video, I want to talk about sanji vs katakuri once more. I made a poll asking who would win between Sanji and Katakuri for the sole purpose of reacting to them. But then I had an idea, what if I made a video reacting to these comments and putting my own thoughts to show why only one of these 2 wins 9 times out of 10? Pre-Ifrit Jambe Sanji would most likely be a stomp, but post-IJ and the scales are quite a bit more even. Sanji'd still have to compete with Katakuri's precog, but considering Sanji runs, heck, *flies* at Fuck! miles per hour, I repeat, the scales are more even, not to mention Sanji has it, too. I guess it'd come down to battle experience, which Katakuri has more of, but we've seen Sanji make big brain plays all throughout OP, and his genemods also activated in Wano, so...
If Katakuri did something to Nami or Robin, though, Sanji would totally be on the agenda the next time Geneva has a Convention for what he'd to to Katakuri.

This is why I value portrayal so much because well what you're saying it true it's dumb. Dumb because the general scalling of Wano is stupid you could argue pretty much everyone there is stronger than Katakuri. But if Katakuri showed up in the next chapter to fight Sanji is Sanji mid diffing him? Of course not because Oda doesn't think Katakuri is as weak as scalling makes him

I think you're failing to account for 2 things.
1. Katakuri is bare minimum jack level which scales him past all tobi roppo immediately so he isn't weak. Only 3 straw hats stand a chance and 2 will become strongest of all time.
2. If oda reintroduced katakuri, he'd prob give him acoc as a sign that he kept on training after luffy showed him that undying will. It would be like Lucci but prob stronger as imagine if he brought Lucci back in at his enies lobby strength. He'd be defeated by chopper with ease, but oda kept his threat level without making him a luffy only fight.
@@anders7055 characters usually return at the level of strength they should have been from the very start if the series just make a huge power spike. Mainly Crocodile who got beat by pre gears Luffy yet he returns at the very least relative to Luffy if not way stronger do to his interactions with Mihawk and Doflamingo. This is really how he should have been from the very start but Oda made a mistake and rectified it we can safely assume the same applies to Katakuri because he's clearly not intended to be weaker than Raizo or Ulti.
this argument basically amounts to " if Oda brought Kat back in the main story to challenge one of the main strawhats, Oda would just power him up" which... is true but not really relevant? This is like saying Alabasta arc Crocodile isn't weak because current Crocodile has a bounty of nearly 2 billion. Characters getting powered up doesn't mean the versions we are talking about aren't weak.

law beats zoro, sanji beats kid, law beats sanji. Or law beats sanji, zoro beats kid, law beats zoro. Law went on a 2v5 against a yonko it's nothing to be slept on.
@@doge_69 Probably, but also consider Law was absolutely blown away the Zoro could tank Kaido and Big Mom's attack for as long as he did. Law also doesn't have a single attack that is as strong as CoC coating. So if Zoro can survive all of Law's random bullshit for long enough I think he has one shot potential with King of Hell/9 Sword Style (or a potential combination of the two, but we haven't seen it yet)

So in my opinion, law is above zoro in terms of strength. But can go either way, it's up to oda you know.

It's crazy but at the same time it's not crazy to see how obscured those katakuri stan comments were. I will never understand why people think WCI snake man luffy is equal to wano snake man luffy. People forgot luffy was training in his gear 4. Like how is that had to see and understand. Luffy got stronger, got one shotted by Kiado and then was nothing compared to queen. Queen literally slapped away luffy armament punch, like it was NOTHING. What did katakuri do when luffy hit him with a normal punch, absolutely nothing and got damaged.

Could katakuri use gear second? I mean if he controls his mochi body perfectly he could probably emulate it to some extent. One thing that annoyed me with the anime fight with Sanji vs Queen compared to the manga is that they made Sanji seems like he struggles more to defeat Queen in the anime. In the manga once Sanji started doing his combo attacks the fight was over compared to the anime, they made Sanji stop the combo part way and made Queen get back up before the final attack. They also made it look like Sanji was having a beam struggle for kicking queen off the island with his final attack in the anime while in the manga once the kick landed, Queen was IMMEDIATELY sent flying. Sanji also kicked him Higher and Further away from the island compared in the anime.
the upside to having incredible animation can also be a downside. they have to flex to make it entertaining. Before wano things were adapted exacly. Its like ufotable turniing a ockay manga into one of the most popular by elevating it to higher levels. the gyutaro vs tenge sene where they were yelling and clashing really fast wasnt in the manga they exagerated it which fans love way more than an exat copy of the manga
The fight wouldn't had emotional impact if Sanji had finish queen in one combo.

If the fight was finished with a concasser instead of beof burst the entire community would like sanji more. Imagine if sanji did the same thing he did to luffy to queen. He could have sky walked and jumped high in the air, using his durability to just crash through the ceiling like a hot knife through butter. Then luffy and kaido just look to the side and see a flaming blue beyblade hurtling towards the ground. Then boom queen gets hit and sent through the island floor and into the ground. Maybe he could have landed in like a lake or something so he could still end up getting finished by greenbull post wano.

Not as fast as g5 or g4 in terms of combat speed heck even g2 would be close but in terms of travel speed Sanji is atleast top 2 with Brook being the only competition which is arguably no longer the case due to his awakening and ifrit jambe

Sanji would beat Luffy in a foot race
in travel speed alone, he is probably faster, given how he moved so fast queen couldn't even perceive him (this same queen was able to react to and catch luffy midair)
but luffy wins in reaction/combat speed with relative ease
I was watching WCI past few days, and I’m on an ongoing basis (is there a simpler way for „być na bieżąco” in english kurwa?) with the manga and while watching I constantly had the feeling, that Katakuri’s future sight was ass, really. I mean, it helped him dodged a lot of Luffy’s attack, but there were also a few times when he saw something coming but couldn’t do anything. Overall, I do like him as a character, but his abilities were not shown that impressive in the anime (or I was watching it wrong).
As we progressed in story, people realized katakuri's abilities were not specific to him and things he used were actually soo weak in the grand scheme of things. Like you said future sight- after Wci luffy, kaido and shank's showed FS. And people realized that FS was also shown in Marinford etc. And the FS that kaido/shank's were using is above Kats cuz kaido was fighting faster luffy than Wci kat. Same with his AP and durability.
FS itself is ass by how Oda treated it.
1. It can be bypassed, unlike ACoA & ACoC that can't be negated.
2. Chars are still gonna get hit anyway to increase the tension.
So, for example, if Sanji who versus Queen had FS, Sanji would still get Brachiosnake-d and Germa-ex by Queen.

@@greinavidimexr6859 true but that queen sword hit him with no haki defense at all. I think mogura would definitely damage sanji but wouldn't punch a hole through him.

@@superdude3457 i mean ancient zoan+cyborg buff and he prolly used haki while hitting and idk if that was a random sword cause it was the sword of a commander so it has some significance all together it would be more ap than kat but this is with no haki and it could only bend not dmg it or pierce it and kat uses his to pierce
Lot of people downplaying Queen. Sanji is one of the strongest fighters in the verse, the only thing he's lacking is AP, stamina (he can't spam ifrit jambe yet), and maybe endurance. Just wait until sanji unlocks the true power of love (or whatever he ends up calling it) and obtains advanced conquerors haki, then he would mop the floor with zoro's bum ass.
