Krishna Menon is a very good example of not placing all the confidence in one person for all of the time . Times change, people may not be suitable for all times. 1962 was painful. My father, a civilian, used to feel it so deeply, the way our soldiers fought with minimal equipment. The pain that many of that generation felt for a very long time.

What a wonderful perspective. Being a retired Army officer, I wish your books are made part of our Part B exams so that we get the right perspective. Critical thinking is lacking amongst us and important for our future Army officers. Thank you

Aadi ji your podcast on this 1962 book of Shiv Kunslji was very good and Shiv kunalji explained the things on a correct line and length.I had wstched Shiv kunslji on this 1962 episode on Vaad also.
Since last three days I gave been watchingbthr Vaad and your chsnneks podcasts onnthese serious topics ,some of them are very old more than a year also.Very interesting and necessity also for our future generation, gennext. You rightly said tgat we grew up from school to college and then got employed for the sake of just our survival but now we are going to face difficult times ahead. Our TV channrls are agenda driven and are just bringing news of such topics with lot of commercial breaks.

This loss changed the trajectories of the both the countries. China was recognised as the major power in Asia and global stature of India was cut to size. US which used to cozy up to India till that time started to look up to China.

    Sir,
Extremely informative discussion. According to public perception, we lost the war because of Chinese supremacy, therefore, it is an eye-opener revelation that we could defeat them but due to some wrong decision of some army officers coupled with the wrong perception of the IB, the opposite happened.

Indian border should be fixed at Karakoram range, which separates watershed area of Indus, from that of Tarim river watershed of China. It is a mental decease to claim Aksaichin area north of Karakoram range.

China has occupied 2000 sqkm Indian territory since April 2020.
PM said on 19 June 2020, no one is on our land - why did he say?
Because Indian mil does not have capability to throw PLA out forcefully.
Similarly, if Indian military had war capability, Pak proxy war would end!

It is Plain gossip like most of writings on 1962. But it is clear that Menon was unworthy of becoming Defence Minister for such a long time. Nehru's blind faith on him is also mysterious . Indian preparedness was dismal in 1962.

Nehru was certainly a bane for India . Partition was his handiwork and this single act overshadows his great work in Science and industry. But blaming whole Congress party is totally wrong. Shastrijee was great in all respects. Indira was tough for China and Pakistan. Nehru was almost silent on annexation of Tibet by China. He was even ignoring annexation of 38000 Sq km in Acai Chin till many Congressmen turned against him on this issue. He should have taken back Axai Chin but his funny non alignment came in his way and the Defence Minister with alleged doubtful integrity misled him.

Soviet Union services captured Chinese activities in akshai region 1957 they share this with indian external ministry and here is failures of Indian bureaucrats special krishan menon the lap dogs of Nehru. Chinese already occupied akshai chin China was under Mao control Mao army ccp wings was we'll know fighting forces compare to indian army and our army failures was no plan withdraw no proper equipment. Fact : after 1962 failure Chinese army taught us that gandhi
Bhakti and peace candel won't work indian army showed them 1967 as well as 1965 war.
