Adi, in the initial section I have erroneously referred to 19 Grenadiers... it was actually 7 Grenadiers, which was at the time was a camel battalion deployed in the area. The battalion was given a regular infantry battalion status post the fighting in the Rann... My apologies.

Undoubtedly we would have been on a different trajectory had Sardar Patel been our PM followed by Shastri ji! And this despite all the global pressures. Makes one think about all the games that were obviously played out to keep Patel away from the seat!
In many ways, I think India is still fighting most of the same pressures today with the deep state, China, Pakistan and the Arab world.
I cringe on imagining our position if we have anyone other than Modi ji as PM in this situation. Jai Hind! 🇮🇳

Vermaji, with due respect few questions. 1. Is the mindset of our generals still the same ego problem among themselves? 2. If Shastriji was misinformed by General Chowdhury about ammunition, our politicians did not have self interest to know what is happening inside our army. Is this still continue?
Proper utilisation of air force with backup plans would have resulted in complete victory, Lal Bahadur Shastri ji ko man se Naman a great leader during these tough times. I also heard the pak side narration of 1965 war from hamid mir rebound pak journalist some instances match but they claim it as victory actually a draw
