For your information, the writer that helped Melania has apoligized to both the Trumps and Michelle. She put in a letter of resignation and the Trumps rejected it. Trump said everybody does innocent mistakes. This just shows their great heart.

I very much doubt that a speechwriter wrote the speech, they know what plagiarism is. They would also know how badly it would go down. They also know how to change the language. But not only did his wife plagiarise part of her speech, Trump breached copy write by using 'We are the Champions'. The campaign did not seek or obtain permission to use the song, and it is unlikely permission would have been given.
