I don't suggest it to others, but one day, I wasn't paying any attention and walked right into an angry swarm as I was going to the house. Once in, I 'woke up' to what I had done and froze. I realized it felt absolutely amazing. The energy was intense. I enjoyed it VERY much. Yes, it was relaxing in a way. It felt healing. Bob is the one who made them angry and had suffered the consequences of his actions. He was still suffering. I took his hand, promised him he wouldn't get stung again and convinced him to go back in with me. He did, rather nervously. I asked him to make peace with them and ask them to move on. They calmed and went away. 💕
When I was younger and keeping bees, I found that I could smell the difference between the hives. I found that if I cleaned my gloves and suit before I moved to the other hives, the bees were'nt on the offensive as much and were very co-operative and I didn't need smoke. As far as being relaxing, yes! Something about the buzzing and the movement was mesmerizing!
My uncle who used to be the principle for a special needs school would go straight to the bees after work to relax. He said it would help him find peace and relax
We have 2 GoPro’s and they over heat. I would suggest looking at DJI cameras. That is what we are going to switch to. I haven’t heard many vloggers complain to much about them. Thank you for the video. I learn so much every time. Keep being you.
Beekeepers definitely get it. You've been educating here for years. Just you and the camera and bees. What a fun one! Always gotta move carefully when handling bees this time of year, when you're doing inspection(s).
OH HONEY BEES, I have been waiting for this one. I wanted to see how the new yard was doing. Honey bees make you be in the Moment and that Moment is Wonderful🥰and can last for hours when your not paying attention. Thanks for sharing, Blessed Days... Have you all pulled this season honey yet, how much did you all get this season?
I'm glad that you love to do therapy with bees❤ and I love the honey from bees 😍 but all I have to say is that I'm allergic to bees so I'm afraid if I get stung then things will not look right!! That is why I leave it all up to you amazing people who do beekeeping❤ 😊
So agree i'm a first season beekeeper in the UK and I love my special time with my girls. We are all ready for winter so now I just watch and listen. Wishing you and your bees a happy winter rest
Actually I can see or rather feel the calm amongst the bees. Whenever I see bees hovering over flowering bushes and how they gingerly hover about and collecting nectar has the calming effect. The fact that it is the natural order of things.
What does the paper do when combining colonies? Is it just to slow the introduction of the Queen? Do the bees eventually eat/break through it? What would happen if you didn’t add paper?
And add garlic yeah ! You know why garlic is best ? 😊😊! Busy queen bee at a honeystead ! Educate your kid when you do those farming chores . Get some younger generations involved! Enjoy your teas!!😊😊
Do you put a few puffs of smoke on the site where a bee has stung you? it will help mask the alarm pheromone. I many times will sit off to one side of the entrance and just watch the bees coming and going. It is very therapeutic and relaxing. AND YES, i do talk with my bees as well, i think it has a calming effect on them, and probably helps them recognize me.
Im in Canada . 2 seasons ago i lost 2 queens to formic pro. It was the end of October and too late to buy queens. I combined 2 queenless hives, fed them over winter with protein patties and they survived. 6 months later i was able to buy a queen for the combined hive . The winter bee can live a long time. That hive lived well and healthy but eventually absconded due to an enormous amout of yellow jackets attacking the next October.
There are therapeutic places where beehives are literally under beds. The bees have entrances on the outside of building. Inside beds are directly on top of the hives. Sleeping there I can imagine would be very calming and they say it also has health benefits we yet don't understand.
I’m guessing that the queen shut down for the winter . I’d suggest putting are frame of eggs/ larvae in there . And if the dont make a cell . You know they are queen right
My thought also! It is not at all uncommon for queen to shut down until January (depends where beekeeper is)... Bees seem very calm and not "crying" (fanning frantically).
I too "zen" when I work my bees. Everything just falls away except the hum of my girls and we're all just doing our thing. That intoxicating lovely smell and warmth of the hive is like a high.
I appreciate the colony name! I've dine that to, got stung and didn't know it and yeah spicy is a good word choice. I tend to have anxiety prior to going to the apiary but in there, ah yes it's great
Wow, That was awesome. I am going to go and watch all your other bee videos now and learn. I really enjoyed your calmness and ease of teaching. Thank you so much ❤
Fairly new to your channel and enjoying it so much and learning so much. Your knowledge of bee keeping is amazing and just want to thank you for all of the valuable information.
You know a beekeeping girl is a strong girl she has to move them boxes.😇I'm a guy and Pray to the Lord before I pick them up. Propolis makes good beekeeper gum😏sure gets stuck in the teeth good though. I bet she is in the top box, oh she wasn't up there. That's to bad, Combine Time. The Girls are looking Good this year, it's about the Colony not the Bee and it's about the Apiary not the Colony. That can be a difficult lesson for young beekeepers, Thank You for talking people through it. Sometimes we as the Beekeeper have to make tough decisions and sometimes those decisions are made for us.👍 Blessed Days Kaylee and Family.
Nice to see you again... QUESTION: How do you know you have day old egg? I have caught several swarms in the past but most never survive more than 6-12 months... So I am wondering if I need to apply your theory, of day old egg. Thx Erika
Hi ! love your channel. I am also a Bee Keeper now for about 4 years. Can you tell me what brand gloves you use ? Yours seem a little smaller and less bulky. Be Well - Lisa
I have to turn the framerate down on my gopro and I get about an hour in the sun before it gives up. I get more time if the gopro.does not have the media mod on it. Problem with a gopro you don't quite get the details you would with a better camera.
Fascinating! Thank you so much for sharing. What kind of camera are you using? My phone gets super hot, but my dslr usually doesn’t. Is there something about being near the hives that heats it up? I’ve heard they give off heat. I was thinking about some type of umbrella to provide shade, but if the heat is coming from the hive, that wouldn’t likely do much. Keep trying. This was so relaxing it was it bordered on meditative. Loved it! ❤️
I want bees so very bad. Do you think it is possible to safely have them in town? There are no ordinances here and I have a large back yard. Also no children in the immediate area.
Idk if you want my opinion, but I find, depending on the hive attitude and also the weather, my attitude and how much I want to tolerate the occasional sting, is how I decide to suit up or not.

Bees actually have healing frequency

We all are frequency and energy ❤❤❤

I'm finding the sound of bee's so relaxing thank you for doing this.
What you do for you're bees is interesting and educational.
❤I’m not a bee keeper, but I am growing plants for the bees in my area. Thank you for sharing your knowledge! 😊
It really do BEE relaxing
It really is!
I've been beekeeping for 8 years now, but you still teach me things! Appreciate ya!
💛🐝
Few things better than being in my bee yard. It’s so calming.
I do get it this is my first year of being a keeper of bees
I'm glad that you love to do therapy with bees❤ and I love the honey from bees 😍 but all I have to say is that I'm allergic to bees so I'm afraid if I get stung then things will not look right!! That is why I leave it all up to you amazing people who do beekeeping❤ 😊
I have heard that it's got something to do with vibration or frequencies from the humming that is theraputic
Very much!
Next Spring, catch a swarm for Western North Carolina. The ferral bees have been devastated
Bees give off a healing frequency so that makes total since why it's healing! AirBeesNBed

Bees are the most fun to watch not afraid of them any more they are so amazing.
"a beautiful chaos" perfect description.

Propolis is the best Cure for a Toothache !!
Absolutely

For sure!! I'm planning to do the combination tomorrow:)

I am using my bees to train myself to calm, to calm the chaos in my mind.
You can actually hear the second hive is a little more annoyed at being disturbed, very interesting video
I too "zen" when I work my bees. Everything just falls away except the hum of my girls and we're all just doing our thing. That intoxicating lovely smell and warmth of the hive is like a high.
I love my girls and going into the backyard after to work to watch them come home.
Watching you do this are the best videos.
💛

Look into a camera umbrella. You can attach it to your tripod.
❤❤❤❤❤
thank you !
I got stung 6 times this year just part of the job
Fairly new to your channel and enjoying it so much and learning so much. Your knowledge of bee keeping is amazing and just want to thank you for all of the valuable information.
I recall the matress unpack! 😊
I wonder what the camera looks like to them lol. The sassy bees are attacking!
If you were to heat up propolis to incorporate into a salve, would it take away from the medicinal benefits?
Nice video ❤️ 👍 🙋♂️ 🐝🐝🐝🐝
Nice 👍, Thank you 🙏

I don't see any queen excluders, do you use them?
What is your opinion on queen excluders?
Water bed so good triple gel pack lol 😂.

What bee suit is that? it looks a lot like the Guardian suit.
It's Armour I believe
I so want bees!
Do it !
Do many bees get squished going through the boxes?
Sometimes, but moving slowly helps!
May I ask where you got your beekeeper suit?
❤❤
Check out DJI camera gear
Your comment perhaps ... Do you think bees can sense that you mean them no harm, and accept you in their vicinity?
I want bees so very bad. Do you think it is possible to safely have them in town? There are no ordinances here and I have a large back yard. Also no children in the immediate area.
I have a bee hive hanging in a tree in my yard. I so want to put them in a box but I’m not sure how. Can’t seem to get anyone to help me.
What gloves do you have. I love the less bulky type.
Bee propolis link?
Why can some beekeepers not use suits? Do they have less aggressive bees?
Idk if you want my opinion, but I find, depending on the hive attitude and also the weather, my attitude and how much I want to tolerate the occasional sting, is how I decide to suit up or not.
You dont use a smoker ?
I see you not using smoker so i guess you got gently bees.
why dont you use a smoker
Except when you are allergic to bee stings and you don’t have your epi pen with you. Just saying
advako makes on bees utube.
