Another way of finding holding pattern entries by... just looking at them. Instrument pilots may find this helpful in applying to written test or flight.
Hello Dan, thank you for watching. Holding patterns are used in IFR procedures and only one aircraft is assigned per holding pattern, so there is no other aircraft to be on a collision course with. This is different from a VFR traffic pattern where multiple aircraft may be flying in the pattern.
Holding pattern and given a fix? If a PIC is instructed by tower/ATC to 'hold in a pattern' VFR with the radial of RWY, how much distance (parallel) is required? *500ft vertically minimum 🤔🛩🛫🚁 P.s "keep them coming"....
This was the best video for holding patterns in the history of UA-cam! Thank you very much for making it!!!
Thank you Shamu, I am glad this was useful!
Excellent explanation! Thank you.
Thank you!
Great presentation. Thanks
Is there no risk of collision with other aircrafts doing the same holding patter?
Confused wouldn’t a parallel entry put us in a head on collision course with existing aircraft in the pattern ??
