You have the most fluid swing Michael, exactly what I'm aiming to achieve. Proves the point that it's all about technique not brute force and ignorance.
+Michael Newton Golf Will do Michael, I lost my swing due to a permanent left wrist injury and have been trying to get back into the game. Thanks for the vids, really top notch.
Hey Mike, hope you can respond fairly quickly as I need to make a decision. I had my clubs stolen and I am ordering a new set through my ping rep....my question is this! If I am getting the clubs at cost through a friend....is there much difference between the g or g30? I know I can still order the g30 irons and driver for a limited time before the g400 come out. I guess what I am asking is if I wanted to save some money should I get the g30? Or are they both going to be relatively similar at cost and just get the G stuff....I have hit the G but not the G30 irons since most stores dont carry them anymore since the g400 are coming...I got fit and they didnt even have it or the driver on the fitting cart anymore! Look forward to your response!
Good spot. The reason being is the G30 iron had HMT stickers on the face which allows the launch monitor to measure clubhead speed. The new G iron didn't so the clubhead speed is guessed! However, all other data like ball speed etc is 100% accurate. This is why I didn't mention clubhead speed in the video. Thanks for your comment :)
Thanks for the review. Were the shafts different? I understand that the G iron is using the Ping AWT shaft. Do you think the shaft differences would account for the spin and distance differences?
Hi, yes both shafts were the same, I used the CFS in both. AWT is also an option in the G iron but if you get fitted by a Ping custom fit account then they will have approx 4/5 different shafts to help dial in spin to suit you. These shaft option are all FOC so no upcharges which is good! You need to get fitted on a launch monitor 👍
93,9 vs 86,0, that sound mad. How can your swing speed be so different? Imagine if you gave the same swing speed with the G iron that you had with the G30. The ball would go miiiiles further with the G.
Hi. Reason clubhead speed is so different is because one iron didn't have the launch monitor HMT stickers on, this measures clubhead accurately. The 93 mph measure is 100% correct. The ball speed numbers (most important) are both 100% accurate.
You and Mr. Pete Finch have the smoothest of swings on UA-cam
Which spins better sits on the green better. That is very important vs distance. You agree?? Thanks

Kind words, thanks. But your absolutely correct regarding timing & not just clubhead speed. Check out my other video 'Smooth Swing v Fast Swing' 👍

+sledge1960 good luck with your come back!
+Michael Newton Golf Cheers Michael. Thanks again. Had to go back to 28 Handicap and play graphite shafts but I'm getting there.
+sledge1960 I agree. A bit unfortunate that we didn´t get to see all ten shots...

Hi Michael, how can you have 8 mph clubhead speed difference between those 2 irons ?...
