@@JavierFernandez01 that’s interesting you say that when I first moved there I could get sagos super cheap and then pit of nowhere they got really expensive which is a shame because they’re really cool plants
@@LeafMeAlonePlants yea. They started out super cheap, got expensive, and now in our area at least they don't sell for as much. Still nice to have them though. :)
I'm In Michigan & I am SO Jealous of How AMAZING the Home Depot in your area is! Our garden centers are still not quite open yet! I am DYING for spring!
Its crazy what a wide range of plants they carry across box stores in the valley, But I agree, its been a while but sometimes I will just drive around all day 😅
I've tried to order plants from The Plant Stand to ship to me in New Mexico and the shipping was like $50+, so...... I haven't bought anything form them yet. But I can't wait to go there in person next time I'm in AZ! I also recently got a Ric Rac and realized pretty soon that I needed to water it a lot more than I thought
For years, I’ve waited for ZZ plants and Agave ‘Blue Glow’ to come down in their prices. I got both varieties of zz’s last year and the agave last week! I’m still waiting for an affordable whale fin snake plant to buy.
I finally got my whale fin a few months ago, they were so expensive for a long time but I’m glad I held out! I think that’s one of the great things about so many new people being interested in plants is it seems like prices are starting to come down!
I am SPEECHLESS $7.99?!?! *The woman was too stunned to speak* I just bought an orchid, too! omg I feel like you and I had the same experience! I used to LOVE orchids as a teen, etc. but didn't ever try to grow them and then was put off buying one when I started collecting for the same reason. I'm so intimidated by them for some reason. Maybe because the pressure is on the bloom, rather than the foliage. Whereas within the community, blooms are just a bonus. Aannyyewaayyy.. I just went to Lowe's for soil amendments and I suddenly connected with a white mini phal and I couldn't leave without her 🤷 She has been reported and we're looking amazing! I have faith in us, sis. We can totally grow orchids
Lmao why are we like the same person 🥰😅 That's so interesting what you mentioned about the flowers, I never really thought about it that way but I think I was always scared once the initial blooms fell off I would never get them to come back haha. Youre right though, we've so got this im excited to have another first time orchid owner here!
Holy cow I feel like I'm living in another state, not AZ, seeing all the plants you found. My Home Depot in North Phoenix has none of those plants. And what plants they have are struggling.
Its honestly always always shocking to me how differnt even each one in phoneix is! Some have amazing selectiosn and others just have a bunch of dead peace lilies🥲
Do you own any plants that used to be REALLY expensive but are now super common?🌵
Sago palms used to be expensive. We have a few in the yard that give off little ones and we sell them but not for as much as we used to.

*gets a snack, drink and my bong* being high and chatting about plants is my favorite thing 🥴
It sounds like we're having a similar night 😂

I found the exact blue cactus at a Lowe's last weekend for $13. I am in the midwest. I snagged it up as well!
Interesting thats cool to know they have them all over! And now we are cacti twins lol 👯♀

@@LeafMeAlonePlants I can't wait to see the new orchids you get once you fall in love with growing this one 😆
Ill never do prickly cactus again. I had one as a kid until i was shoeing away a fly and backhanded the cactus.. yea.
Yikes 😳 I can feel the pain just imagining that ☠️

I’m waiting for the queen Victoria agave to come down in price!
I’ve had my eye on the Queen Victoria agave for a while they just seem to keep going up in price here 🥲
I bought a Rhaphidophora Hayi for $50 then the next month they were at Lowes, I was so annoyed 🤣
There is a large grocery store that has them for less thank $5 but they’re really neglected 😢
That’s always such a debate for me when I see a plant I want at a great price but it’s not looking good 😭😭😭
