Hi Alex! Thank you so much for reviewing four of my enclosures! My burm has a big shelf with foliage to hide her, but it’s not in the photo so you can see the hand painted background better! The water feature is also not attached to the background and acts as a hide as well. The ball pythons all had UTH on a thermostat and the lighting is built into the ceiling of the enclosures! Also! The carpet python enclosure (with the wolf hide) is an altar space for working with animal spirits - I’m pagan. Lol so it’s not satanic - I’m pretty secular so I don’t believe in the devil or anything abrahamic. The wolf pelt is also secondhand from someone who was moving out in my neighborhood and they were going to throw it away which i felt like was disrespectful m, so he (the wolf) watches over my religious space. I know it’s kinda funky for people who don’t practice lol, but I’m happy to answer questions anyone has if they message me! Hope that clears things up!!
I loved all of your enclosures so much and my jaw dropped when I saw your altar! So beautiful, I cant believe someone would want to throw that wolf pelt away.
Just gotta say your enclosures are to die for! The Ōkami theme made me insanely happy!!!

Hun, as a fellow pagan/spiritual person. I understand that you saw the wolf pelt took it so it wouldn't be wasted.
HOWEVER, I do think it would be best for the wolf to return to Gaia. Please lay them to rest. With wolves being targeted constantly for being a "pest" but farmers and hunters a like. Who knows what they poor wolf has been through.
It's all up to you, but please, put the poor thing to rest with a nice bush of either rosemary or a rose bush and let them rest 💙
Nah don’t feel bad for the first guy because you’re spittin straight facts. And not affording a bigger enclosure is not an excuse. Because keeping a reptile is a commitment on its own and you’re already gonna be spending a lot to feed them consistently. And like you said a tub at Home Depot would cost less than that and gives a beardie plenty of room. This does not. Beardies aren’t fully arboreal, they’re just semi. There’s a reason they tell you to get a LONG enclosure, not TALL. If you can’t commit to what they require, don’t keep one
Not to mention, pets are completely a privilege. Not a right. If you can’t afford to properly house, feed, and maintain your pet, don’t get one. If you don’t want to research good care for your pet, don’t get one. It’s super easy (not to mention free!) to just *not* get something that you aren’t well equipped for.

There are 4 toads in a 60 Gallon long. Elvis is my only male toad and they are all the same size. (:
Elvis is my oldest toad who is 10 years old.
Question: are they cane toads? As an Australian it's always super weird to see people keeping them as pets!

The wolf pelt enclosure got posted in a FB group I'm in and she got raosted over having a wolf pelt.... it was gifted to her, not even by the person who killed it. It was awful.
That's so dumb like i admit i don't find it too easthetic pleasing to have a wolf pelt on top of ur enclosure but im not gonna bitch about it like its a bad thing
Oh I remember that post!! They were really mean to her even though she used it for spiritual stuff.
I remember it too but there was thankfully a lot of support as well. She posted it in the appropriate group so I really didn't understand all of the hateful comments. Even if it wasn't religious for her I don't see why the pelt should be thrown away.

As someone curious but clueless about reptiles, I wish you went into more specific details about why these are good or bad… and not be so unspecific; would help people learn and know what to do. Thank you 🙏
To fix the toad analogy - you have 2 toads. You don’t want the smaller toad to be less then half the size of the bigger one, because it can be eaten. You want to be more then half the size of the other one.
Some of these are sad to look at. Apparently research has been thrown out of the window

6:00 I have two and just got plants and stuff and all they did... was lick the leaves... I know they're investigating them but it's always amusing to watch them and wonder if the little DVD screen saver logo brain cell they have bounces just a little faster when they LICK LEAF

In my personal opinion, improper enclosure size is not just a "not the best but it's ok" reptiles NEED a proper enclosure size to be happy honestly, if you can't afford a full-size vivarium, don't get the reptile.

Hello Alex! My enclosure is at 12:44. First up, I live in europe so no, this is not a gecko from you. I got Joey several months ago, from my local pet store, after my 7 year old veiled chameleon named Lili passed. He was alone in his tank there, but it was tiny and there was nothing but sand. Not even a water dish.
About my enclosure...
both the back wall and the lamps are made so it is easy to climb. Joey really likes to sleep on the little balcony. The right lamp is uvb, but I rarely use it because I heard you say leos dont need it. The other one is just heat.
The paper towels replaced sand, which I had in there for around 2 weeks, before I learned how bad it was. I still haven't figured anything better to use. If you have any suggestions, I would really love to hear them
I'm really happy to finally see my enclosure even if it only got 3 stars (I mean, thanks 😁✴️✴️✴️)

Hi! Leopard geckos do need UVB because it provides them with D3 which is essential for bone health so I definitely recommend turning it on! Sand can be okay if mixed with top soil in a 70:30 ratio and this actually mimics the natural environment and provides enrichment. If you want to learn more about setting up an enriching tank let me know and I’ll shoot you a discord link that’s really helped me!

If you can’t afford to buy an appropriate enclosure, you can’t afford to own that animal at all and should wait until you’re in a position that you can give the proper setup… 🤷🏻♂️

In response to you saying you can’t do fake plants with beardies it reminded me of something silly. I have a bio active enclosure for my tomato frogs, Sriracha and Carnelian; I can’t have and oak moss leaves or leaves of any kind in the enclosure. Moss is on thin ice, because the girls are so clumsy and stupid they’ll eat moss with the bugs. I have to hand feed them now, since I refuse to run the risk of them ingesting anything bad for their stomachs they can’t pass. I love them but the amount of times I’ve wrestled coconut fiber and moss from their lips because they rapid fired licked next to the tweezers 😂😭

Im just confused as to why people choose to get reptiles and expensive enclosures but wont even budge to do a quick google search about what kind of an enclosure they need. Who thinks a vertical enclosure is going to be enough for e terrestrial animal?? It cant even climb and no light.
My beardie has an inclosure. But he literally only uses it for heat, uv, soaks and to eat. Other than that, he’s busy exploring the apartment.
I completely agree with you darling but he needs at least eight hours of UVB a day also has calcium supplements and vitamin vitamin D if you let this go he will definitely end up with metabolic bone disease
@@lacyhall1002 I didn't say how long he spends in his tank. He spends a lot of time under the light. I just said he spends the rest of his time exploring. He spends most of the day under his lamp. I also didn't tell you what I feed him. So while I appreciate the advice, it isn't needed. I just meant I don't have a fancy smancy enclosure.

@@lacyhall1002 If you have advice on how to make him a non-picky eater when it comes to his vegetables, I would appreciate that. That doesn't mean I don't feed crickets or worms that aren't calcium dusted.

I think these people tried to have great enclosures even though some were not large enough. Interesting review. I have never had a lizard. I am a snake keeper. My land snails are in a biodegradable environment and have been for years. They are thriving and so are the isopods. All quite interesting to watch. I have not done this with snakes.

Haven't finished the new video yet, wanted to say I love your videos regardless of the content! I've also learned a heck of a lot watching... Yes I was one of those kids that had an iguana in the 80's before I knew how to take care of one. Still hurts. So I'm super thankful for all the information that's shared now. It's also great to see the success and the failures since I think we all learn more from those fails, as painful as they can be.

As a substrate for my leopard gecko I use natural 100% bentonite litter. Its the best :)

Your dollar analogy was priceless, Alex. Your point was right. With a dollar you want one part to be bigger than the other so it still is worth a dollar but with the toads you need them to be fairly equal in size so they can’t eat each other 😂
