THANK GOD Spielberg insisted on the full orchestra scoring for each episode - it adds so much character. Even when the studio head said it was a great idea but too expensive for TV animation budgets, Spielberg just said "no no no, don't worry, I'll make it work" - and I love him for it. Every other TV cartoon to that point had libraries of music clips and cues that would play at certain moments... and it was a huge breath of fresh air hearing the unique scores in Tiny Toons and other WB shows onward.
During the development of the show Steven Spielberg said that Warner Bros. would use a full orchestra, which some thought too expensive and impossible, but they ended up agreeing. Warner Bros. selected Bruce Broughton to write the theme tune (for which he would win a Daytime Emmy along with Tom Ruegger and Wayne Kaatz, who both worked with Broughton on the lyrics) and serve as music supervisor. Screen credits for the composers were given based on the amount of music composed for, or composed and reused in, the episode. Twenty-six other composers were contracted to create original dramatic underscore for each different episode during the series run: Julie and Steve Bernstein, Steven Bramson, Don Davis, John Debney, Ron Grant, Les Hooper, Carl Johnson, Elliot Kaplan, Arthur Kempel, Ralph Kessler, Albert Lloyd Olson, Hummie Mann, Dennis McCarthy, Joel McNeely, Peter Myers, Laurence Rosenthal, William Ross, Arthur B. Rubinstein, J. Eric Schmidt, David Slonaker, Fred Steiner, Morton Stevens, Richard Stone, Stephen James Taylor and Mark Watters. The composers conducted their own music. Of these composers, Broughton, Bramson, Davis, Olson, Stone, Taylor and Watters wrote the score to Tiny Toon Adventures: How I Spent My Vacation. These composers would later write the musical scores for shows including Animaniacs and The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries. Only 3 episodes of Tiny Toon Adventures like Fields of Honey, The Love Disconnection and The Horror of Slumber Party Mountain won Emmy Awards for Outstanding Music Direction and Composition.
Joe Alasky was simply the best. Even though the Tiny Toons lasted a short-flight while. Still, they have these countless numbers of their existing deviantarts. But never fear: This channel called Cartoon Network Network would definitely show reruns of the Warner Brothers Looney Tunes. Also, this 1989-1990 HBO comedy series called "Kids in the Hall" was definitely R-rated trash. The TV show critic definitely said it was darkeningly funny.
I really, really, really hope that a Tiny Toon Adventures revival happens sometime soon as I think we are in a great time for bringing old properties back if they are done correctly! I mean seriously, all the pieces are there: There is a whole load of new stuff to parody/reference, cartoons get great funding these days, and the want from the audience is definitely there. I did a short "What If" video over on my channel about how I think the show could be revived and although I am not a large channel by any means, you would be surprised how many people have taken the time to comment about either how much they want the show back or ideas of their own for how a revival could work. From voice actors to plot lines to stuff that could be referenced, people would love to see this show return. and as it was stated in the video, this show still holds up. I could see it coming out in this day and age with no problem!
I hope they do, but at the same time I worry that if they did bring it back, it would be done with cheap flash animation and humour based solely around pop culture references.
In this generation, we got bad stuff from reality, unfunny sitcoms with kids and teen to make themselves unpopular from Nick to Disney. Also depressing dramas with more violence and stupidity. Hollywood of today is in trouble. We need comedy before our future just getting screwed. Please, bring back Tiny Toons in this generation. Thumbs up if u agreed.
Actually. I would love to see Tom Ruegger and crew talk about how Anime played a role in the huge decline of Looney Tunes cartoons back then. So many people say kids go “racist” and “Tom Ruegger is terrible.” Because they grew up on Anime. But I know because I did see the decline. Not to mention Loonatics Unleashed.
Am I the only one who thinks Tiny Toons is a better show than Animaniacs? I do understand why the latter is a lot of people's favorite, but to me having all the different personalities bouncing off each other is much funnier.
I must be in the minority because I just do NOT like Clampett's overly "wacky and insane" Daffy Duck at all. I appreciate that such a crazy character was innovative and novel in the early days of animation but I much prefer the egotistical and sophisticated interpretation that Chuck Jones is known for. To me, the rampant insanity is one-note and just gets old after a while - Jones added so much more depth to the character that appeals to me more. But I can totally see how some people like Clampett's version.
This was my absolute favorite show as a kid. I’m so happy to hear how it came about. I was specifically looking for this I never knew it’s history. 😍✨🥹🙏🏽

And definitely made use of Rossini, a lot

Tiny toon Adventures is one of my most cherished memories of being a kid that and pinky and the brain and animaniacs
+Sam Misner i loved tiny toons tress mcniel voiced babs bunny if you listen closely babs sounds like gadget from rescue rangers
I'm a grown man in my early 40s and I still watch TTA and animaniacs.
Nothing like watching old childhood cartoons after a hard day of work!
21:05 So THAT'S where the bonus game wheel in the SNES game Buster Busts Loose comes from!
R.I.P Joe Alasky
It made me crabby and miserable when I found out he died. I'm beginning to feel worried about other great voice actors who made our childhood.
rip don messeck.
Wished they still showed reruns of this
Jennifer Graham they did on abc family lol. I forget what channel on dish but its on top of cartoon network lol
It's on hulu
It’s now right here on UA-cam! 😃
@@ermac192 You mean The Hub
It's on HBO Max.
Very cool that they got Clampett's daughter for this video.
Also, love Babs Bunny
Pro tip : watch movies at Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching a lot of movies recently.

I know right? If Animaniacs could be brought back why not Tiny Toons?
I hope they do, but at the same time I worry that if they did bring it back, it would be done with cheap flash animation and humour based solely around pop culture references.
I would do it in CGI, similar to the animation done in those LT shorts from the early 2010's, which were shown in theaters.
@@sydneyskidis7710 Uh no. None of the looney tunes characters warrant being done in cgi.
Well, I'm sorry, but they were done in CGI.

They brought Tiny Toons back, and it still managed to suck.
Love you Tom ,thanks for the upload
Tiny toon adventures was and still as today very funny
Love the old backgrounds of looney tunes. Cool seeing Daffy's origin
My youth. I'm definitely having a middle school flashback
I never knew Elmira was the junior version of Elmer
I love that show!
I was in 8th grade when Tiny Toons Premiered! it aired on Prime time I want to say on fox but could be wrong on that.
The Tiny Toons series never depicted one male or female guinea pig in action.
I like Tiny Toons too. I wished Plucky was the narrator instead of Fowlmouth.
I like fowlmouth but not when he swears.
better Fowlmouth did it. Plucky didn't need extra exposure, Fowlmouth did.
Two of my favourite characters in the whole series.
That's were GoGo was created
Tyrone, the tortoise is supposed to be Cecil, the tortoise's male counterpart.

Yakko Warner and Pinky!

I love both tiny toons and animaniacs but if I had to choose I would go with tiny toons .
bartsimpson83 Same
Animaniacs was more of the spiritual successor to Looney Tunes while Tiny Toons was a continuation almost.
I’d go with both. Especially if they did a collab maybe where the Warners went to Looniversity, that would be cool.
"They're tiny, they're tuny" and awesome to find out more about!
Is that a Honey Cartoon!!
0:05 Yakko!
