awesome video, that's some big uni up there, the amount of seafood in your dives im jealous. you should do more diving videos but love the kayak fishing as well.
@@FishDiveCook hope you don't mind me asking some questions! I definitely want to get started diving. What's the best course of action to do this? I have fins, a mask, and a wetsuit already from when I used to get abalone
The best way to learn is to take a free diving course. FII or PIF are internationally known freedive schools that emphasizes safety, physics and technique. It’s Perfect place to learn! Check them out!
Do you have to use a commercially sold abalone irons or can you improvise, such as with a pinch/pry bar sold at the tool store? I’m thinking the pry end of a pinch/pry would make it much easier to get the scallops loose….
I find slipping my dive knife into the mouth quickly and cleaning out the button underwater easier then prying them off. Plus you don’t end up with a bag of rocks in the end.
Outdoor chef life brought me here 🙂👌

This is very true. I guess I like collecting the rocks as a whole. But I’ll def cut them out next time if I’m having a hard time. Thanks!

What and we’re did you get the tool you’re using to pry them off? I’ve use my knife but broken a few and lost a few as well. Thx

Boom
Sup Harry!
i thought scallops were free roaming and un mounted.
Did not see one abalone. Even if abalone aren't normally where urchins are but not even one.
The chef asked me to flip the channel 👈
Thanks for coming over! Stay tuned, lots of fun content waiting for ya!
Sub via the fresh n salty
Welcome! and thanks for the Sub
Not like one opihi. Guts and all
For real not like one opihi, but I did save the guts and fried it up after. Was pretty good, small line taste like oyster, just salt and pepper.
Good show but he's lacking in personality.
