I think there was a fundamental problem with the positions because those who were supposed to be main dancers (koko, saebi) actually ended up being the centers, while the center position (with fuko and yui) didn’t feel like a center position AT ALL. This isn’t the girls fault but rather the choreographer’s fault and that’s why koko and saebi were never judged for their dancing skills but for their center quality instead.
Tbh I felt the same, being the centre they got lines which weren't much memorable and even with so much lines (centre got 42+ seconds while main vocal got like 16 seconds) I couldn't find a memorable part and for main dancers too, usually it would be one chorus for centre, one chorus for main dancer but yui and Fuko were mostly at the edge during the choruses.
Literally, i remember seeing koko and saebi picking dancer position, but then when the time for the stage came i genuinely thought they switched postitions for center and then u wqs confused because at the end of the day i didnt know if they got main dancer or center
i feel like sujung was never trying to actually win this challenge, she was trying to prove to the audience that she can sing. she knew she wasn’t going to win the moment jiyoon got moved over, but she still kept her part because she’s trying to appeal and gain more fans. and you know what? i think her strategy worked! loads of kfans have noticed her/added her to their lineups after this episode so honestly good for her
Exactly!! Finally someone who got her intentions. Since the beginning she was trying so hard to prove her singing. She's smart, great leader, amazing dancer and now she even proved her singing talent too
Exactly, a lot of the views are looking at the big picture, calling her greedy for talking the vocalist role but they can't see why she actually took the role, she usually get critsized when she is talking the dancer role , they keep saying they except more from her, even though she kills it everytime, so she wanted to do something different
@@akkti_ nah after she badmouth mai i started ignoring her. I know she is more talented than mai and i even included sujung in my top 6 lineup but after THAT episode i realize that no matter how talented you are character is still the most important.
Yuju definitely deserved to win over Mai. Anyways, my biggest issue with the latest episode was how inconsistent the judges were. They judged some contestants based on iwaly performance alone, but some others based on all of their performances so far. And i understand why they picked everyone they did, it's just that the criteria is not the same, so it left a bitter taste in my mouth. It's like they don't care about anyone's improvement and already know who they want in the final lineup.
Facts! They said they would only judge the girls based on iwaly’s performance but they clearly didn’t lol…especially when it comes to lingling vs jungeun and yui vs fuko. If we judge iwaly’s performance alone then yui should have won hands down and lingling should have lowkey won too. It’s obvious that in that case they picked the girls that were overall better throughout the whole show, which makes sense but at the same time it doesn’t…
@@karibills6243 i disagree, Jungeun is in my top 6 and Lingling isn't but i think that Lingling did better and stood out more in Iwaly performance then her
@@karibills6243 Lingling also kept her eye contact to the camera, and with even bettet facial expression. Also her vocal tone which suited more in the first part
I totally agree with ur point about Yui. I wasn't shocked by Fuko's win but I do think that Yui encompassed a center better, Saebi unintentionally snatched that from Fuko. Yui has been doing well consistently but it's very obvious that they do not want Yui in the group given I don't know if they've given her enough screentime for her to survive the vote. It's a shame she's such a solid trainee, I hope we can see more of her
mnet REALLY doesn't give a single fuck about yui 😭and with both her and yuju facing possible elimination, i feel bad if i think about the final line up not having any solid rapper...
Ever since Whistle, Yui has been given high marks, she just doesn’t have enough fans and production knows. I feel producers really want her, and if so, they can make it happen, kinda like Bang Yunha on Universe Ticket. What Yui needs is votes, Fuko’s emotions were better, she helped write the song, and they commented on that, this was a rough challenge to watch 😢
Mai is extremely overhyped, especially if you consider other trainees like Yeeun and Lingling who get so much backlash for their underdeveloped skills when Mai is basically on the same level as them. Mai isn’t all that but mnet is trying to trick us with their angel edits that make her seem much more skilled than she really is
my only thing about Jeemin is that when she was a centre and pulled off her part extremely well, people said that she wasn't good at it (and yes this actually happened, even if you didn't see it) so she picks a smaller part and again people criticise her. so then idk what you would want. you can see that in r u next she has so much talent and star quality so idek atp.
That’s because even if she receives some criticism she actually has a lot of potential, but all of her potential kinda went to waste when she picked that small part. The judges wanted her to be more ambitious because if she doesn’t challenge herself she won’t improve and they all wanna see her improving. I feel like she has lost a bit of confidence from the criticism she got, but i hope she won’t let this affect her too negatively in the end.
She pick smaller part don't even have any relation with the hate...and I don't remember seeing a hate train about jeemin centre problem in whistle..I though everybody praising her
She clearly has pronounciation issue when she sings she sounds off ..for example her part in whistle " hey buuuuy ". Seriously that's not flattering and overhyped by the judges.
Sujung made a risky decision choosing main vocal but I think it was ok because I honestly didn't like her much because I thought she couldn't sing and I don't want to debut idols who can't sing, but she proved me wrong, she was very brave and I liked her confidence, she isn't the best vocalist like jiyoon but she could pull it off very well and so proud of her
On this recent ep,my views because this show is fucked up #1 Mai isnt bad and all,but please, yuju was better in each category its clear mnet wants mai in the final lineup and is being biased #2 Yui,Her talents are stepped on,dont get me wrong,i love fuko, but yui did so much better her #3 lingling is actually so damn talented and some of her lines made me think they were better than jeungeun #4 People like jiwon and yeeun are so stepped on smh
I have jiwon as one of my top picks. She's clearly driven and can sing and dance and I actually think has the Best expressions in the show.. I think the judges were mean to her because they wanted to create an underdog story. She's coming back for a win, I'm sure of it:D she's the type that will get it with or without producer backing;)
For sujung, while i agree it was more than she could chew i think she took this role thats so big and drastically different from dance to get rid of her image as a dancer which has been hold against her by the judges, she has shown before that she doesn't want to just dance in the show
i remember how insufferable some people on twitter were when r u next was airing. god forbid you vote for someone who isn't in the big six. their fans were bullying people left and right
@@JemuzuDatsWho I try but it’s also kinda juicy (I’m on the worst sides of twitter too cus I’m on kpop Stan twt, pop Stan twt, rap Stan twt, and red pill twitter cus I like fighting misogyny)
#1: It was pretty clear from the start that people mainly like Mai because she's pretty. #2: As someone who has Fuko in my ideal debut lineup and not Yui, I have to agree. I watched a side to side comparison video of them, and it was obvious how much more expressive Yui was. If they were considering the whole show thus far, it would make sense for Fuko to win. But if it was just that one performance, than it should've been Yui. #3: I agree, but I'm a little biased since Yuju's performance is much more my style. #4: Yeah, but I get where Sujung was coming from. She's already established herself as a dancer and wanted to show that she could sing as well, and she's made that clear multiple times. Maybe it wasn't the smartest choice, but I get why she wanted to break out of the 'dancer' mold and show that she can sing as well. #5: The thing about this main dancer position is that it was never actually a main dancer position. Saebi and Koko were more of the center than Fuko and Yui ever were. And even though Koko improved in her position, Saebi definitely deserved to win. #6: While she is overhated, I think the fact that her hate train is so much worse than other 'dozen' trainees is that she stayed in I-land while the others went back to ground, not because of pretty priviledge. #7: Definitely, I watched the comparison video and it was so obvious how much more charismatic Sarang was compared to Jeemin. And besides, Jeemin is going to make it to Part 2 no matter what, so I don't think it really matters that she lost. #8: Kinda agree. Harassing people for their voting choices is definitely wrong, but that shouldn't stop people from voicing their opinion about their favorite trainees.
You’re right, i feel like most of the hatred towards lingling came from the fact that she stayed in iland while someone as talented as Juwon was kicked to ground. Not gonna lie, that pissed me off, but then i looked at lingling more objectively and realized she’s definitely not the incapable dozen most people claim (even if she needs to improve more)
lingling got hated even before she enter in iland tho.. maybe she got lot of support (coz she is sea) compared to others trainees is the reason people hate her i think even tho it is not her fault? #Not to compare but in my opinion iland1 you also get same issue (lingling, yeeun) like sunoo and hanbin. If they debute i think they might face backlash like sunoo for the 1st year.. well hope people will be nice to these all girls no matter who will debut
@@soft4taeng Ling Ling look caught my eye before the show aired but after the show aired, her stage presence was just ok. I don't get the hype her fans giving her. I sometimes even wonder if she wants to be in the show?
@moonlightpaw5868 Us DARLINGs also sometimes have the same thoughts. She too relaxed 😂but then again, she didn't even get any screen time, so we can't be sure what goes behind the screen, but seeing her improvment this recent episodes it's a proof for her hard work.
yuju had better vocals and much better facial expressions, i don’t think anyone could genuinely believe mai deserved to win…it’s clear she’s just one of mnet’s favorites. As for jiwon, she actually has such a pretty voice and she’s a better singer than most of the current ilanders so it sucks she most likely won’t make it 😭
Tqq for saying about lingling hate train...even she imprving really fast every episode...haters will keep hating her and keep talking about her nationality
for sujung she couldn’t pick main dancer as saebi and koko already did, her choices were main vocal, part 5, and center, center was just as vocally challenging as mv with double the lines, and part 5 had a highnote against jungeun, plus jiyoon told sujung she wanted part 5, so i think choosing mv was the smartest decision because with her options she probably wasn’t going to win any because of her vocals, but instead by choosing mv she got to show the audience she’s capable of more than just dancing
The thing about LingLing is that she doesn't even have mediocre skills. She's a pretty good dancer. She didn't overextend or underextend any lines in the performances I've seen so far (I haven't had time to watch the more recent performances as I'm working on graduating high school). She seems to be a good dancer, a decent vocalist, with lots of potential to harness, and she could definitely do idol rapping if she could get a good trainer. I saw the same amount of potential in Juri from PD48 but her company never expanded on said potential so if LingLing debuts WakeOne should work with her and if she doesn't debut her home company should work with her. She has the potential to become something amazing.
How true is that? Maybe if only lingling is not from SEA, others won't overlook her talent just because people CHOOSE to support her for her and not for nationality🥹 she have a huge fanbase because she attracted other attention to being the only SEA, but her skill and charm make other stay and support her. And don't start with me, "she is famous because she is from malaysia and malaysian voted for her." nuh, uh, if u know Malaysia, the majority of them don't even know who she is, and even then, only a small amount of malaysian K-pop fan supported her. So her votes are not half malaysian, but 1/4 of them. She also has fans from other countries such as rusia, brazil, Japan, and korea(even tho only a few of them). If you are still confused, please watch her fancam from Ep1 until ep6 you can see her improvements. And try to compare her fancam view with the recent one, that should be a clear proof that she did attract a lot of attention because of the recent ep(since mnet finally giving her a screen time and also because of the haters that was obsessed at writing bad things about her at other platforms lol thanks btw). If you ask about her sp, she improves herself every episode and finally shows the results at ep5 and ep6. And not to mention it all started when mnet cut her profile introduction on ep1. She is literally invisible, which makes us think she was eliminated in the future ep. Giving how mnet never really give her any screen time. But seeing how far she go, really made me question mnet. But of course, we know mnet never truly wants her in the lineup and only has her as a filler and marketing for the show. This type of marketing is common. And btw the hate train is so forced. Pls remember they are a human too, if you disagree pls words your word respectfully.
I feel like the reason why Mai's skills are given a pass over Lingling or even Yeeun's is somewhat to do with their auditions. Like Mai was able to hide her lack of skills with her confidence, stage presence & visual (and her teammates tbh), whereas LingLing & Yeeun's audition was unavoidably bad, so it's like viewers will always have that initial image of them having little to no skill.
But it's also sad that the girls don't get vocal training (or if they do, they don't show it to viewers), unlike the produce series where the PD's were genuinely helping these girls. Like you scout some of these girls who have never had a day of training up against ones who are in their 6th year of training makes no sense.
@@beneditem2978 none of them have been at wake one very long. Saebi and jungeun been there the longest 3 years. Most trained at other companies i think first. also, if lingling was at yg prior like everyone says she 100% has vocal training they train everyone harder than any company.
@karibills6243 With the training comment, I'm referring more towards trainees like Chaeeun & Yeeun who are up against Jeemin (who stated she's a six year trainee) & Yuju, etc. I think the criteria of scouting some of these girls should have been a lot more thorough. & idk about Lingling being a YG trainee because idk if that's confirmed. It could just be a rumour.
-MAI is extremely hyped, she is all about expression and people say her voice is unique it's not unique it's cringe and in mai's case mnet is so biased, in her drama performance she sounded HORRIBLE mnet is giving her preety privilege -LINGLING girl have a lot of potential but mnet is doing dirty with her they are not giving her a chance to tell about herself, note enough screentime no backstory i honestly feel so bad for her
Bro mai literally sounds like many idols, in fact that many of them had to change their vocals tone for a nasal tone when they debut and there are you guys saying that Mai sounds horrible?, of course her voice it’s not unique, because half industry have it, (and I think that gives her a plus, because we know that when the group debuts many of the winners will change their vocals tone to a nasal tone 💀 and Mai already has it), now, that they know how to handle it It's different, whether because of their experience, because they received real vocal training, etc, but Mai is not far from it, she just needs to practice and get to know her vocal skills better and learn to manage them.
lingling got hated even before she enter in iland tho.. maybe she got lot of support (coz she is sea) compared to others trainees is the reason people hate her i think even tho it is not her fault? #Not to compare but in my opinion iland1 you also get same issue (lingling, yeeun) like sunoo and hanbin. If they debute i think they might face backlash and ignored like sunoo for the 1st year.. well hope people will be nice to these all girls no matter who will debut
Or like Elisa and gehlee in universe ticket they get no lines and their fans get mad. But it’s a Korean group and a lot of companies will try to do everything they can to appease them until the get popular enough.
yeah, she got hate cuz she got a large fanbase and votes , and ppl think it's unfair cuz their picks that r rlly good didnt have the same thing as lingling 💁🏻♀️ i love lingling sm she deserved better, she deserved all those votes and fanbase
Favoritism for sure. There's literally a particular girl that made so many mistakes through the show but producers said nothing, in fact they even compliment her, gave her higher score than Fuko. I'm not even shock that girl made it to final lineup. If you know, you know. That seat should be Fuko's.
I agree there was favoritism, but Sarang debuted by ranking 5th because of public votes, not because the judges picked her. You're right, she made mistakes but this doesn't change the fact that she's been consistently good throughout the whole show and she deserved to debut as the group's all rounder, even though Fuko was pretty talented as well.
@@soft4taeng Huh? I wouldn't call it "consistently good" when someone messed up on stage. I don't think you understand how big of an impact the favoritism impact public views. Her score that given by producer should've been much lower when she messed up. Instead they gave her more points than Fuko, which really weird. Also at that time they didn't even play producer speech about Fuko's perfect performance, instead they play their complimentary speech for their favorite even when she messed up, which obviously will effect the public. Because of that, Fuko got less screen time even after her perfect performance which would surely improve her public impact greatly, meanwhile their fav got more screen time and extra positive image on the complimentary speech for public impact. Not to mention that mistakes she did effected the overall group performance, but the other members stay focused and delivered despite that mess she created, which the more reason they should give props to others, but instead they complimented the one that messed up lol. That episode, producer score is 50% of total, which a big margin that would certainly add up and the most important part, public impacts. After that episode it just too obvious they gonna push that girl for final lineup. But thanks to the favoritism, guess who was the victim?
We need Minsol in part 2, like I don’t get why they decided to put Minsol so low in the rankings last round. She did better than like half of those trainees that got through to I-land like HELLOO. So pls if u do support Minsol vote for her! Also I feel like Lingling did better during the performance than jungeun but overall if it was based off that jungeun is better.
you are so real !! like lingling situation yalls cant just hate her and said she untalented while one of your pick is from grounder bc of the pretty privilege iykyk,
I hate how they judge the final performance based on whose visuals matched the roles more rather than the performance it self Also i personally feel the judges are pushing Yuen a lot sne gets praised for average performances when other grounders are mostly ignored. At this rate i wont be suprised if she gets into the final lineup. And yes, i agree with almost everything you said.
@akkti_ lol I had the same question. Jiwon maybe? And I think jiwon definitely deserve a higher ranks so hope she comes back swining in the next phase
Lingling, Um Jiwon and Oh Yuna mnet barely gave them screen time which probably causing viewer not remembering them . I dont blame people not remembering this hardworking girls but i just hope that people realise all the less screen time girls work hard the same as more screen time participants. The only way you able to see the girls talent and growth re by watching their fancam. I realise that Lingling never a dozen as many claims she dont even do anything wrong to get so much hate. Um Jiwon re very talented despite her young age, her vocal tone re very stable and her performance re great too. Oh yuna is actually a good dancer, her vocal might sound unstable but her voice re not bad at all.
Umm right. As you can see part 5 for me is one of the most challenging part of iwally and she pulled it off so gracefully. Mnet should have shown it her improvement practice. But they were busy highlighting main dancer comparison and sujung determination. Mnet could have given her little screen time too 😭
Mai is exactly the same case as how judges in R U Next literally manipulated people to believe in Moka being extremely talented.. bruhhhhh..... It's pretty normal at this point that judges can literally change the momentum of any Korean survival show with their fake compliments towards specific someone so that the audiences can vote more for that participant.
Honestly I get you...when I watched runext I hadn't expected moka to be in the final lineup but I wasn't mad because at that time in her performances she had great vocals and dance along with versatility so I was happy for her but after their debut..I'm questioning myself if the performances were even live at all or just pre recorded...well now seeing their encore people criticise her for her vocals I'm certain if mai debuts and doesn't improve in vocals as she is now she will get the same criticism
@@nabi6261 no I still like her a lot, I wrote this comment at the beginning of the show, but now I love Mai. Her personality is sooo good and she is a hardworker. She definitely deserves the place in the debut lineup! I just say talent wise there may be better contestants, but as an Idol I think she fits well
tbh, i cant judge SAEBI, it's like from episode 1 to till yet, it's her and comfort zone ALL THE TIME, ilanders like yuju, koko, jiyoon even jeemin had there up and down in song concepts but saebi DAMN NAH --------- It's like giving sunoo & taki camber 5 as every test songs in ILAND lol
THANK YOU!!! Ppl keep saying she’s this amazing all rounder but she hasn’t been challenged AT ALL until the current episode. She actually had to do a different concept for the first time and her rank plummeted. Ppl keep saying they don’t see somebody like Gyuri in a YG group but seem to think Saebi can do a YG group. She can’t.
no i feel like mai is overrated don't get me wrong I love her as a person but there are so many better people who could be in the final lineup but mnet is pushing her like crazy
Being a visual who can create impact and attract fans to the group could also be considered a talent in this industry, like it or not. A well balanced group has different skills.
I've been saying the same thing tho mai's stage presense and dance is good her vocals have a really nasal tone and she's out of breath everytime but noone seems to bat an eye at all😭
In my opinion, I thought Fuko was better than Yui. They are both my picks but I feel like Fuko fitted the song better and was naturally.. whimsical? I also feel like Fuko was more natural. Yui was great tho I wish she wasn’t against Fuko bc I want her to be picked too
and for mai winning over yuju.. icl after the performance i rlly didn’t remember what she did i remember mai a bit more and i feel she was more expressive and understood the song more
and yes i so agree with the lingling one, like all the hate for what.. she literally sounded amazing in iwaly (better than jungeun especially on the lows imo) but her acting is like amazing and she eats imo
The positions were a disaster, centers looked more like vocalists, Main dancers like centers and main vocalists like more of a random vocal part I think the choreographer did a really bad job with that
Yui is literally an allrounder and deserves to debut. She can rap , sing and can easily be a main dancer and main rapper. And plus she has good stage presence like the way she manages her facial expressions 🤌.
Crazy thing is she has never even been on ground and has been always on the top 4 for the highest score in performances...they are really trying to gaslight us
@@Itsthefinaltime EXACTLY!!!! Like it feels like she’s being forced on us. Like the teacher who tried setting me up with another student. Like I see what you’re doing and it ain’t working 😭
Everyone hating on mai because of his nasal voice and being the "judge fav" while they're calling sujung a QUEEN because she is more talented. But after THAT episode, Yeah they are right, she is really talented even in badmouthing others oops. Character is still more important than skill.
i couldn't agree more with the first one. if i had to chose a trainee in the show who is presented and edited in the best way possible it's mai. she did not apply for any good or important part yet and when she was able to chose her part in episode 6 herself she chose the part with less lines even tho others were still available. (meanwhile jeemin gets criticized for chosing a part with more lines than mais) also her stagepresence seems just great when they zoom in. tbh i rarely notice her in performances when the camera isn't pointing on her. yes she'd make a great leader but so do (in my opinion more talented) other trainees like sujung or yuju. also i have to point out that in the rain on me mission she only came up with the storyline idea bc she KNEW that she couldn't beat sujung coreography wise. she's definitely very creative and understands how survivalshows work bc in the last two missions the first thing after the intermediate check that she did was to analyze the song lyrics which gives the producers a great way to edit the way that the group was working. but making storylines up to showcase your imrovement will rarely help you as soon as your an idol. btw: i do like mai. i like her persona etc but i dont rlly get all the hype around her bc she isnt all that that yall want her to be
I have quite the different opinion on jeemin v sarang, but that is totally fine. For me, jeemin gave a more balanced performance, it’s not that she was bad at all, but that she started off easy and ended off strong, while sarang started off strong but used up all of her energy until the end. I feel like jeemin shines in a center position where she is the focus point in the performance, and when she’s not, she blends in well with the group and doesn’t stand out too much and boosts her members while the opposite can be said for sarang, that when she’s in a center position, she doesn’t stand out as much, but when she has a small part, she leaves a strong impact / when she’s in the bg. They both have different assets and ways to shine
This yt channel owner doesn't know that if she does more than she's supposed to she'll shine more than the centre I hope she uses the built up regret I saw at the end of that special stage episode to outshine others in part 2 🙏
Everyone says Sarang should win and mai is judge's fav.But don't forget sarang is also PD's fav. Compare her screentime with other trainees and i like wow😂. I agree sarang is really talented but one of the reasons she seem like having stage presence is the camera always show her even in others' parts. We only see what the camera shows and the camera really follows Sarang. As for jeemin they didn't even show her properly in her parts and also any reaction. PD's fav is not only Mai but also sarang .
@@jovenus20 yes, I mean it. Also in yui's part ,camera doesn't show yui but sarang😅 And everyone start talking she has very very strong stage presence.
@@jovenus20first of all lingling was part 5 in the iwaly perf and other than that they were never in the same team and secondly, the pds may like sarang but she’s given nowhere near the amount of editing and screen time as other trainers like fuko, jiyoon, saebi & mai
Sarang is PD pink because she can sing, and dance and is super pretty. It would be their loss if they didn't favor her. PD also favor Jeemin too or else they won't give so much screen time. They know Jeemin is popular so she is definitely in the lineup.
7:02 the thing is, is that I'm sick of people with no training saying stuff like that. I did dance for 10+ years and I've been doing opera for almost 2 and a half years. I have skills in things similar to what being an idol comprises of and so people shouldn't be like "But lingling is untalented" or "But Saebi has good stage presence" or "Mai is pretty" when I say my thoughts of the girls in the show. Obviously if you're some random netizen who doesn't have any training you shouldn't be listened to but if you have training in something you should be allowed to state who you think truly belongs in the lineup.
The Jiyoon vs. Jungeun storyline is SO WEIRD omg, hate it! Regarding the 6 contestants the producers chose, fact that the producers saved Sarang over the more popular and generally higher ranking Jeemin (even though I do agree Sarang was better this particular performance) to manipulate the fan votes so that they *really* had a choice in selecting *7* of the members got under my skin but it's very expected of MNET lol My fan vote 6 (in no particular order) are: -Bang Jeemin: she isn't my absolute favorite but I like her and she is guaranteed back in for reasons above lol -Lingling: she has been steadily getting better and better! voters y'all better come through for my girl where the producers haven't! -Yui: my fav rapper in the lineup, and also is a good vocalist and lovely visuals as well -Son Juwon: I like her kinda "mean girl" visual and her ability to lead, and I think she adds a unique color to the lineup -Kim Gyuri: resident cutest member in the lineup and consistently good vocalist -Um Jiwon: i am constantly surprised by how overlooked she is and besides Jiyoon i think she is one of the best vocalists on the show; only concern is her age though so my alternate would be: -Nam Yuju: she has had good vocals, entertaining stage presence and facial expressions, and overall enjoyable to watch I feel but doesn't necessarily shine brighter for me than the other girls I have listed above
THIS!!like wth main dancer is a position which focuses mainly on dance not the stage presence or facial expression if they cared about the stage presense so much why not make two center position??it was like their dance didn't even matter they were only judging based on their expressions
Yk I’m here to give my opinion s: 1. No cus fr. Mai is sweet and talented but some of her fans act like she the best of the best and I don’t get it 5. I will say about this is stage presence can make a dance look way better and that’s why saebi won. Stage presence really carries so much in performances cus I seen dances that are overall are HORRIBLE look amazing cus the person dancing had amazing stage presence. So yea I understand her win 6. I’m sorry am I the only one who don’t remember lingling- like I hear her name all the time and ik people like her but I’m sorry I haven’t been focused on her at all and I can’t tell you a thing about her. She might be talented but my brain haven’t been focused on her I have no issue with her tho but imma have to watch more clips of her. 7. HEAVY ON THIS. I love jeemin but she should have done so more cus she is amazing but when the judges was talking about her performance I realized how I forgot her in the performance. Like I had to rewatch which isn’t normal for me cus jeemin tends to stick out for me. She can do better but next time I have hope she will improve
Maybe you can start with streaming her fancam on every episode. Then you will have your opinion. At first I was also a little bit worried with the overhyped but after the 4th ep I started to realise that she was talented. She shows more in the 5th n 6th episode.
I really don’t see Mai’s appeal. I always thought I was the only one but I guess not anymore. I really don’t understand what the show is doing, for all of the contestants are beautiful already, such as Saebi, who is actually much more talented than Mai. Even Sarang, who is a pd favourite is actually talented too, and she is such a cutie. For the pds to push Mai is lowkey weird, I really don’t vision her as someone they would want in the group, or someone who can bring fans in. Contestants such as Saebi, Yuju, Jeemin for example have that star power, which draws fans in. Never saw that in Mai honestly, and before anyone comes at me for being biased, my picks are Jeemin, Jungeun, Yuju, Juwon, Fuko, Sarang, Sujung, and the rest are Koko, Yui, Saebi and maybe even Ling Ling etc
omg i realised i forgot to add jiyoon so my picks are Jeemin, Jungeun, Jiyoon, Yuju, Juwon, Fuko, Sujung or koko or Sarang. I secretly wish my cuties minsol or chaeeun would get it, but they probably won’t, and chaeeun definitely needs more training
oh yuna is so cute too i love her type of visual but she def needs more training it’s a shame she remains me of bae yeram who didn’t make it on universe ticket i really want an idol with this type of visuals
Same she has never been on my top 7 picks and still until now I don't see her being in my picks because she never caught my attention but the judges praise her a lot and give her high scores it's favouritism no doubt
For ppl salting over MAI win instead of Yuju . Yuju lack in expression, while MAI have stage presence and have the best expressions. MAI didn't even did one mistake. How y'all say it's rigged. You guys are just hating on her because of the nasal voice, but she already improve it now. HATERS GONNA HATE. Anyway MAI won as she DESERVES. ALSO even if not for judge choose her , she still ranked 6 in voting. So she will gonna debut no matter what. HOPE THIS INFO HELP YOU
It’s just the companies fault and everybody else’s fault for sleeping on Yui. She literally was the best in Iwaly. I don’t understand why she couldn’t have won she was better than Mai and had no voice cracks. It makes me sad
jeemin is my 1pick but it's pretty obvious that she lost confidence after R U Next, she seems to be getting it back with Rain on Me but I hope in part 2 (god forbid she doesn't make it, I will personally burn mnet myself) she has a breakthrough performance like saebi with panorama/jiyoon with eyes, nose lips/sarang with mic drop&sugarcoat! that being said, sarang rightfully won but it is quite annoying that mnet milked that jeemin crying moment since the very first episode like we as fans knew what was coming.
Agree on most, but I thought Fuko was significantly better than Yui in IWALY. I thought Yui smiled too much for a bittersweet song. Fuko's expressions were more mature and looked like someone who couldn't stop liking a bad boy, which was the concept of the song.
Sujung is just good as a dancer. Her vocals are not enough . She always goes into falsettos every time she sings which makes her vulnerable to voice cracks.
We can say the same thing about the others, their dancing skills are not as good as their singing skills , and sujung can actually sing she just needs training, and you know what if I'm gonna guess who are the girls that are gonna debut its gonna probably be sebai, Sarang, fuko, maybe jiyoon, Mai, and if they are compared to sujung they don't have as a strong aura as sujang. Sujung reminds so much of sayeon, she deserves to be in a better group, sujung is one of those idols that could change the industry
Ive definitely started to like mai more, at first j hated her drama performance and didnt understand the hype but she has definitely turned around so im neutral on that:) + i love chaeeun just wanted to say that she has some special presence that resonates with me:) i hope shes given a chance either on this show or some other in the future so ill be looking dorward to her debut
Are yall actually blind or choose to be blind about su jang , the reason she chose to be a vocalist is beacuse the mentors gave her shit about only dancing, and they only criticize her and when they complement her it's backhanded or followed by but. She wanted the vocalist position to show them something different since they didnt like her no matter how good she does, and i really hate how they compred her to jiyoon, let them dance and jiyoon wouldn't stand a chance compared to su jung, anyways you can tell how over it she is in the lastest episode, and i know she is getting hate for talking about mai's nasally singing but i dont give a damn, she is my favorite, and i actually hope she doesn't debut with these girls , cus she way too good for the show, and she deserves to be in a strong group
i will be honest i do not like mai's voice like at all i was suprised when i saw that she has lot of fans do not get me wrong i tried liking her but she does not stand out a lot and her voice is not my cup of tea she deserves to be an idol but again she is not one of my picks
Same like wth I never noticed her for a positive skill.. for drama performance her vocals were very nasal and out of breath but noone seemed to care but it still stuck to me then during final love song and panorama she got one line so I couldn't judge if her vocals improved at all but she just disappeared for me in all those performances I was really shocked that she had a score of 94 in panorama with only one line..then in rain on me she did catch my eye for her facial expressions but not much that i would say it was amazing and still she got a higher score than most trainees..and at this point I'm 90% sure mnet literally favors her for her visuals
Reminds me of Sunoo vs K from the prev season. & later on I saw behind clips of them playing together and having fun together?? but all they made us see was that k hated sunoo :// Jungeun & jiyoon both are my picks but I can see the pattern here, the evil editing of jiyoon since the beginning just like K.
Jiyoon and Jungeun are the main vocal there's no need to pick between them, a group can have two main vocal. While Fuko, Yuju, Sarang, Jeemin, Sujung (these are people in my 9 member line up) are the lead vocals.
I agree with pretty much everything you said especially ab mai, like I do like her and she was in my picks at one point but then I saw how she was lacking a bit but I think she needs a lot of work
They dont hide it how they truly favor Mai in the show. She has good character but skill-wise, I definitely agree that she's mid. She's been performing mediocre so far, not bad but not giving a wow factor. I've rewatched their IWALY vids and still see that Yuju did way better. I like Mai but Yuju deserves that win more tbh. I also agree how inconsistent the producers have judged this performance. I get that the result will determine who will secure a spot on part 2, but the challenge was 1vs1 and should've based on their performance in IWALY. Saebi definitely have the idol aura, but Koko also did great, this was honestly the hardest to judge🤧 and LingLing actually had greater chance in winning this time, she surprised me in a good way. I'm now convinced that she deserves to be in part 2, she has the potential. Sarang vs Jeemin was very evident but I'm not angry at all. Just sad for Jeemin, I know she'll get a spot in Part 2 and I hope she can be more confident and release her full potential until she gets to debut (hopefully, this time).
My personal picks 1. Jiyoon (she is queen the queen, she was the hidden gem the whole time, the new jiyoon feels like the "wild card entry") 2. Koko ( she is material girl lol, she works so hard on things that it shows like it's her natural talent ) 3. Gyuri (she can fit in every possible concept that kind of girl she is, just the matter of time, tbh sometimes her visuals can surpass everyone ) 4. Yuju (she is definitely hardworking one i hope she can understand how to make the best use of her body type in dancing) 5. Jeemin (her aura in the whole show is unreal, she works and works and works) 6. Mai (she need vocal training for her weakness and expressions guidance both but she is definitely the most idol looking in first glance among all ilanders ) 7. Fuko (yall might think i am kidding rn but I'm being honest fuko have 101% potential but now i can't see something interesting coming out of her performance like i just seen episode 8 and i already forgot her parts in La vie en rose ) 8. Jungeun (she is a vocal saver in the whole iland "unmatched" but now a days her vocals qualities keep on dropping and dropping it's like her having voice cracks everyday on every test songs) 9. Sarang (i love her she is bright angel she can grab spotlight with her sakura like visuals, but after the black test i realized with next to jeemin her visual doesnt stand out and because of it her vocals doesnt seems interesting because of visual drop ) 10. Juwon (she need to change her style of perspective towards performance test songs, she need to make the song hers, not to get absorbed by the song, her style was okay because before there was less talented members dancing next to her so she was able to stand out but now it's totally different) 11. Saebi (i can't definite what made me put her on this rank, saebi is sweet, VISUAL YOUNG and very nice person but that doesn't mean she is "idol coded", from episode 1 to till this days, i don't think she was ever taken out of her comfort zone, it's like, she and comfort zone expressions resolving in the whole show) 12. Sujung (Her talent and experience in dance can't get touched by anyone it's too different and unique from others but her attitude after the black test announcement is not at all pleasing, it's kinda annoying seeing how she readily give up her style to imitate a idol style, and not to mention her "MAI" "why would i ?" Like fuck the performance I'm here for my grades if she is getting less than me it's my good)
Mai hate? Mai, I don’t think is overrated. Especially when you see how she always choose roles that are often overlooked. Yet, somehow makes me look at her. I agree with it’s everything else. (Though, Fuko’s got my heart so I don’t agree with that point).
Girl noone is hating on her we're just saying what is true right now her voice is nasal and she is out of breath fast you can't notice it because she barely has any lines the best examples is her drama stage go watch it she had many lines there and you can clearly tell her vocals aren't good
@@Itsthefinaltime Let me clarify; when it came to Mai I thought that she might fall under the radar like under contestants, but it seems like she made her way. (This is to say that I didn’t think Mai would’ve gotten this much attention to the point that we would be discussing her in a situation like this). In terms of her ability, there was improvement. The drama stage was at the VERY beginning, if we’re being honest many of the contestants didn’t sound good, but grew in time. I think this is a situation where it’s more about the tone of her voice. Some people are okay with the tone (I.e how it sounds) compared to others. Doesn’t mean one’s assessment of her voice is right or wrong. It just depends on personal preference. Besides this and the Fuko thing, I agree with the rest of your points.
@@s.s.c0110 So far, I don't see any improvement in her, not even in the comeback. There are comments saying that she has a small role and her voice is still bad. Sometimes not everything is visual. If so, they better debut yeeun better
@Itsthefinaltime look at the comments in this video bro lots of people are hating on mai for no reason. I get that some people won't like her voice because is unique and very nasal something that not everyone likes however that is just a preference, insulting her saying she sounds terrible and is straight up bad when honestly she is mid like that is mean.
Well no. Yuju got overshadowed by the other contestants and Mai caught the attention of others and the judges. Even if her vocals need some improvement she knows how to catch other people attention.
I honestly think against anyone Fuko would've won. Why wouldn't the person credited on the song be singing it? It makes sense, even though it's an eye roll.
Ive seen a TON of comment on yui should have won center position over fuko but i personally disagree. Like, am i the only one that felt like fuko pulled it off much more effortlessly and gave the performance this ethereal vibe bc of her acting? And her vocals and dance are just soo pleasant to the ear it makes u feel so comfortable. Yui is extremely talented but the impression she gave me was that shes fighting off the high notes but shes definitely a great dancer.
The whole thing is very much rigged and the judge comments are just to justify the riggory. I actually think that Sujung made a really good choice picking vocals - she gets to show another skill set, and her not giving up despite the criticism is good for her personality development on the show. The issue is that Mnet doesn’t like her so…
@@BTSENGENEXGIZNAnope, mnet is freaking out because she’s getting more votes and yeeun currently, they exposed voting “interim” results only showing sujung yeeun and um jiwon, with sujung in the safe area and yeeun in the danger zone, making people think sujung is safe
Jeemin hasn't showed anything amazing during this show. She was stunning during RUNext bc she was definitely 1 of the 3 trainees that should've debuted in RUNext/Illit. During Iland she's been in the bottom of my top 12, or the top parts of my bottom 12. She hasn't done anything stellar and if I didn't watch RUNext I'd be rooting for someone other than her honestly.
@@MBJK_baby Yea same... I can't see the same confidence she had in RUNext. But yk iland is so obviously rigged but she'll debut for sure. They knew we'll vote for her to save from eliminating. Her and Jungeun are surely in debut line
I haven't seen anything wrong so far in what she's done Just like sujung, U guys are expecting more from her 😅 When they're people here that should have been eliminated already Her dancing, vocals (she should get a part with more vocal input, I think people need to hear her), her prescence 😩💯
@@akachukwuchukwunachi4837 erm, you should expect highly of the girls. They’re literally competing for their future career. If we vote for girls who aren’t the most talented overall we’re literally giving undeserving girls careers. I know most survival shows are rigged but if the people show who they truly want in the lineup then sometimes the producers reconsider. Chaehyun on gp999 was evil edited in the first episode when they showed her voice crack. She literally was rank 23 at the start and definitely wasn’t meant to be in the lineup but the Korean public absolutely adored her just like how international stans absolutely adored Bahiyyih.
For the people that say Mai bring nothing.well let me tell you what I see when I look at her. Her never complaining, charismatic, smart, she's just very bright and optimistic. I don't like that negativity and crying stuff all the time. But Mai brings happiness sure she isn't as stable in singing but her personality, dance make up for it. Out of all the episode when has she ever complained. This girl give leader vibe always sacrificing hers to others. But of course YALL can't see that because she's pretty, she's a girl, and yall just hate to hate if you don't you have nothing so it's understandable. I will find any phone I can in my family, friends, work friends JUST TO VOTE FOR MAI I WILL NOT STOP CHEERING A GREAT PERSON LIKE HER I JUST REFUSE. THANK YOU
The actual all rounder of the show is Sujung, and you're so right for pointing it out!!! This girlie is quite literally a professional dancer, plus she has proved to us that she can sing stably while dancing at her full energy. From what I've seen on some Korean Online platforms, people are apparently hating on her and not voting because of her height(well, apparently she's too short and these knetz want to make a basketball team out of Iland 2 and not a kpop group oh well). SO PLEASE I BEG GLOBAL FANS TO PUT SUJUNG IN YOUR VOTES OTHERWISE WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO SEE HER IN THE DEBUT GROUP PLEASE
I understand them wanting to put the main dancers in the center for the dance sequences but it was taking up so much time and even in the practice montage they only focused truly on them (aside from sujung). What confused me is that they kept saying how Saebi is so pretty but they didnt really talk about her damce which they should have brought up. Another is that though I love Saebi, she was giving too much face that it was sometimes very uncomfortable but it is not the biggest issue.
Hehe risky but Ill put down my picks of who Id want to see in the group, not who I think will make it into the group ( sorry if i spell the names wrong) Jungeun, Yuju, Juwon, Fuko, Saebi, Sujung or Koko- i really like both of them they just happened to bith be strong dancers. If I was to say who I am surprised is on this list given the type of artists I usually prefer, its Yuju. But she just really always stands out to me. I like performers that are consistent and bring balance to groups. Juwon is just solidly my number 1 or 2 pick. I think she is excellent and dynamic. Cant wait for a comeback storyline. Sad about one other person I couldnt add to the list even though they are very good. I just dont think the attitude will be good for team morale and id rather have a team that gets along well then Diva situations...
I agree with you on almost all of it but the #1, I feel like although Mai is not amazing but every performance she displays a certain charm about her that makes her stand out(ex. Her rap in drama, the choreo and facial expressions in Rainonme and her vocals and the hand move in IWALY) but Yuju still should've won.
U are talking about sarang being better than jeemin and jeemin being overhyped Can u compare the impact jeemin would have had if she was in sarang's spot in this special stage Just imagine 😅 Her part was extremely short..
Sujung didn't pick main vocal, she first picked the center position but then Fuko used her advantage to pick center position so then Sujung couldn't do center position. (the song writer battle with Jiyoon(Fuko won) ).
Mai, her facial expressions often times are over exagerated and doesn't match her parts. Sad that she gets so much attention and NO criticism whatsoever. She somehow ends up being chosen over the others like Yuju, Yui, and LingLing, even Sol. Her dancing and singing are nothing special.
Like this one, using Mai as a thumbnail for clout. Numerous trainees can dominate her, but the one thing that I observed about Mai is that, her presence is literally matching others and it feels a solid group. She needs to workout about her techniques because she has a potential. She is lacking about maintaining a consistent voice while performing, which is understandable but she has to find a way to manage that. She is not even my top pick but everytime she performs, she can capture your attention. Yui can easily beat her when it comes to skills, but when it comes to looks, it is just an average. We must accept that an average looks with a decent talent cannot outshined others. Mai - visual, personality, bold presence, and, strong leadership qualities. Yui - duality, adaptability, strong commitment. This is a great example. Like Yeeun for instance, even if she's pretty, I cannot pick her the way Mai capture my attention. Another, Koko (oh my pick), she's a visual material with a good set of dancing, still, she can outshine others because of her presence as well. That's the reality. I hope Jiyoon and Jungeun (even if knetz doesn't like her) secured their spot. Their vocals are unmatchable +++
These girls will definitely in the line up or most of it based on MNET highlights and is often seen: Jungeun Jiyoon Sarang Saebi Mai Fuko I'll be back after the announcement of the final line up
Personal opinion: yuju totally dissappeared in my eyes, but mai stood out in her part to me. I dont care about both of them but i stand mai after IWALY. And also i find yui to be underwhelming compared to fuko, so it suprised me that ppl feel the other way
One thing that keeps bothering me: the judges criticized Jeemin for choosing a Small part and not challenging herself for the last part 1 mission, yet never said anything about Mai literally having the last part in almost all of her challenges?? Like correct me if i’m wrong but if we compare, Jeemin chose center in 2 performances and tried for the center position during the first mission, while Mai got part 12 in mission 1, part 5 or 6 in seesaw game, and part 6 in Iwaly, yet she’s praised for being selfless?? Ok ig
sujung was very smart with her tactic and doesn’t want to be called a dancer anymore and I’m so proud of her for doing so!! With mai, in comparison it felt so short bc all she’s being praised for is her expressions and nothing else. It’s GREAT to have sp don’t get me wrong but she didn’t deliver much imo compared to yuju.
Cant believe mai just get away with everything she is not that great vocally but she only gets 2 lines so it will not be obvious i dont see that much star quality or stage presence in her either but its obvious that she is like a comfirmed member to the lineup who will just directly win without any real judgements or anything special and her main speciality will be Visuals to draw new fans in ..this has been going on with survival shows forever they will never choose a group full of talent it will always be balanced with a visual member who they will give like 5 sec lines 😂
True! I agree.
The main dancers looked like Centers The Centers looked like Main Vocalist and The Main vocalist looked more like Lead vocalist
I agree, I feel the same way I was questioning the position distribution cause it looked flipped
She's smart, great leader, amazing dancer and now she even proved her singing talent too
Yep, and she is doing what her teammate wants in the whole show because they need her to lead the team. I am glad she finally gets to sing.
SUJUNG IS A QUEEN ❤
Like, Sujung did almost as good as Jiyoon, that means she worked really hard, also because she is a dancer, but still, Jiyoon won over her
@@karibills6243 i disagree, Jungeun is in my top 6 and Lingling isn't but i think that Lingling did better and stood out more in Iwaly performance then her
@@soft4taeng Yeah in those 2 cases it was very evident, i have my biases too, but judges should know better then to be subjective, emphasis on should.
Let’s be real though fuko wrote the lines of the song do you really think they would not pick her?
Thats what I've been thinking too! I thought I was the only one lol.
I have so many favourites, but if Jungeun and Jeemin don't debut, there is no point of stanning the debut group for me.
My thoughts exactly. I wont even listen
They better debut :(
I think 5 should debut. Jungeun, Jeemin, Saebi, Fuko, and Jiyoon
exactly how i feel about Jeemin. i'd still support because of my other picks (Yuju and Fuko) but i definitely wouldn't stan them.
Honestly, I picked these 2 as well
Mai is extremely overhyped, especially if you consider other trainees like Yeeun and Lingling who get so much backlash for their underdeveloped skills when Mai is basically on the same level as them.
Mai isn’t all that but mnet is trying to trick us with their angel edits that make her seem much more skilled than she really is
frr idk why her rap in the start of drama was getting overhyped and people saying its pleasing like she sounds horrible no offence
Fr bro mai's isn't any better than people like lingling and juwon who is in ground she is getting the pretty privilege like crazy😭
@@cdree its mainly her vocal tone that didnt sit right with me lol... she's nice and has the mindset to be an idol, but its just her vocal..
Mai is judge's fav too it's obvious... Her and Saebi but Saebi is much better than her. Judges are blind when it comes to Juwon and Yuju.
God loves you! Repent and believe that Jesus paid the price for our sins! He can give you so much love, joy and peace!.
my only thing about Jeemin is that when she was a centre and pulled off her part extremely well, people said that she wasn't good at it (and yes this actually happened, even if you didn't see it) so she picks a smaller part and again people criticise her. so then idk what you would want. you can see that in r u next she has so much talent and star quality so idek atp.
She pick smaller part don't even have any relation with the hate...and I don't remember seeing a hate train about jeemin centre problem in whistle..I though everybody praising her
I really feel like she lacks confidence, even in R U NEXT she lacked confidence too :((
She clearly has pronounciation issue when she sings she sounds off ..for example her part in whistle " hey buuuuy ". Seriously that's not flattering and overhyped by the judges.
Sujung made a risky decision choosing main vocal but I think it was ok because I honestly didn't like her much because I thought she couldn't sing and I don't want to debut idols who can't sing, but she proved me wrong, she was very brave and I liked her confidence, she isn't the best vocalist like jiyoon but she could pull it off very well and so proud of her
Pls vote for her❤️
I know she can sing. It's just she doesn't get the chance to. Every time she want to sing people be like "think about the team"
On this recent ep,my views because this show is fucked up
#1 Mai isnt bad and all,but please, yuju was better in each category its clear mnet wants mai in the final lineup and is being biased
#2 Yui,Her talents are stepped on,dont get me wrong,i love fuko, but yui did so much better her
#3 lingling is actually so damn talented and some of her lines made me think they were better than jeungeun
#4 People like jiwon and yeeun are so stepped on smh
Imo, Lingling has shown the most improvement out of all contestants but Jungeun is def ahead of her
@@akkti_ same, there is still a wall between these two
I have jiwon as one of my top picks.

Jeemin losing is for the drama. They want drama.
She too relaxed 😂but then again, she didn't even get any screen time, so we can't be sure what goes behind the screen, but seeing her improvment this recent episodes it's a proof for her hard work.
i was so shocked that mai won over yuju, also jiwon is so underrated she deserves to make it to part 2
yuju had better vocals and much better facial expressions, i don’t think anyone could genuinely believe mai deserved to win…it’s clear she’s just one of mnet’s favorites.
As for jiwon, she actually has such a pretty voice and she’s a better singer than most of the current ilanders so it sucks she most likely won’t make it 😭
They be sleeping on my girl yuju tho so I’m not even surprised that happened
Well jiwon is too young
My opinion on jiwon is a bit disappointing because, when she sings she barely opens her mouth when she sings.
@@dyosangraineee6355 she hurt her jaw rlly bad and had to go to the hospital and it still hurts so thats why
Her home company is wake one. She’s been there for a little over a year.
I think she has potential but just not for this show. She is still young and could debut later, after improving even more !
@@elfy2006Young??She is 19 and the third oldest trainee after fuko and mai😭😭Or,are you talking about someone else??
@@_kas3yy.__ ok for 5th gen this is quite old 😭
How true is that?

-LINGLING girl have a lot of potential but mnet is doing dirty with her they are not giving her a chance to tell about herself, note enough screentime no backstory i honestly feel so bad for her

Uhm lol you people are why this video was made

Yeah like Yui received 75 in final love song but Minsol received 68 in Whistle. That’s hella rigged
Mai is a hard worker, but YUJU DESERVED TO WIN OVER MAI and Lingling deserved to win over Jungeun based on IWALY's performance.
ngl I prefered Jungeuns perfomance
you are so real !! like lingling situation yalls cant just hate her and said she untalented while one of your pick is from grounder bc of the pretty privilege iykyk,
I hate how they judge the final performance based on whose visuals matched the roles more rather than the performance it self
Also i personally feel the judges are pushing Yuen a lot sne gets praised for average performances when other grounders are mostly ignored. At this rate i wont be suprised if she gets into the final lineup.
And yes, i agree with almost everything you said.
Girl who's Yuen 😭 😭
@akkti_ lol I had the same question. Jiwon maybe? And I think jiwon definitely deserve a higher ranks so hope she comes back swining in the next phase
@@ello4347 girl who's jiwon 😭 😭
They were fillers they don’t want them to debut
I also think Mai is overhyped, she isn’t on the same level as Jeemin,Jungeun,Sujung or Sarang
Cry she debuted🤡
@@nabi6261 no I still like her a lot, I wrote this comment at the beginning of the show, but now I love Mai. Her personality is sooo good and she is a hardworker. She definitely deserves the place in the debut lineup! I just say talent wise there may be better contestants, but as an Idol I think she fits well
tbh, i cant judge SAEBI, it's like from episode 1 to till yet, it's her and comfort zone ALL THE TIME, ilanders like yuju, koko, jiyoon even jeemin had there up and down in song concepts but saebi DAMN NAH
---------
It's like giving sunoo & taki camber 5 as every test songs in ILAND lol
Yui was great tho I wish she wasn’t against Fuko bc I want her to be picked too
Fuko wrote the lyrics. Of course she did better
In my opinion fuko understood the song's message more and expressed it better
both fuko & yui got outshined by the main dancers
and for mai winning over yuju.. icl after the performance i rlly didn’t remember what she did i remember mai a bit more and i feel she was more expressive and understood the song more
and yes i so agree with the lingling one, like all the hate for what.. she literally sounded amazing in iwaly (better than jungeun especially on the lows imo) but her acting is like amazing and she eats imo
The positions were a disaster, centers looked more like vocalists, Main dancers like centers and main vocalists like more of a random vocal part
I think the choreographer did a really bad job with that
@@valentine9178 i agree
@@aesglow i really really reallyyy agree with youuu dear
Yui is literally an allrounder and deserves to debut. She can rap , sing and can easily be a main dancer and main rapper. And plus she has good stage presence like the way she manages her facial expressions 🤌.
Finally someone feel this unfair
1:26 imo she should be a grounder. I genuinely have not seen much improvement from her and she's a very poor vocalist and very poor rapper.
I agree...sarang probably has the best stage presence in iland
i couldn't agree more with the first one.
if i had to chose a trainee in the show who is presented and edited in the best way possible it's mai. she did not apply for any good or important part yet and when she was able to chose her part in episode 6 herself she chose the part with less lines even tho others were still available. (meanwhile jeemin gets criticized for chosing a part with more lines than mais)
also her stagepresence seems just great when they zoom in. tbh i rarely notice her in performances when the camera isn't pointing on her.
yes she'd make a great leader but so do (in my opinion more talented) other trainees like sujung or yuju.
also i have to point out that in the rain on me mission she only came up with the storyline idea bc she KNEW that she couldn't beat sujung coreography wise.
she's definitely very creative and understands how survivalshows work bc in the last two missions the first thing after the intermediate check that she did was to analyze the song lyrics which gives the producers a great way to edit the way that the group was working.
but making storylines up to showcase your imrovement will rarely help you as soon as your an idol.
btw: i do like mai. i like her persona etc but i dont rlly get all the hype around her bc she isnt all that that yall want her to be
I have quite the different opinion on jeemin v sarang, but that is totally fine.
I like them both and I want both of them in the group. I have the feeling both might get picked in the end.
This yt channel owner doesn't know that if she does more than she's supposed to she'll shine more than the centre
I hope she uses the built up regret I saw at the end of that special stage episode to outshine others in part 2 🙏
Ling Ling Part 2 but camera start shifting to Saranf
@@jovenus20 yes, I mean it. Also in yui's part ,camera doesn't show yui but sarang😅 And everyone start talking she has very very strong stage presence.
@@jovenus20first of all lingling was part 5 in the iwaly perf and other than that they were never in the same team and secondly, the pds may like sarang but she’s given nowhere near the amount of editing and screen time as other trainers like fuko, jiyoon, saebi & mai
Sarang may be the pds fav but thays reasonable...she is talented and her screentime was never as much as jungeun jiyoon fuko and saebi
Regarding the 6 contestants the producers chose, fact that the producers saved Sarang over the more popular and generally higher ranking Jeemin (even though I do agree Sarang was better this particular performance) to manipulate the fan votes so that they *really* had a choice in selecting *7* of the members got under my skin but it's very expected of MNET lol
My fan vote 6 (in no particular order) are:
-Bang Jeemin: she isn't my absolute favorite but I like her and she is guaranteed back in for reasons above lol
-Lingling: she has been steadily getting better and better! voters y'all better come through for my girl where the producers haven't!
-Yui: my fav rapper in the lineup, and also is a good vocalist and lovely visuals as well
-Son Juwon: I like her kinda "mean girl" visual and her ability to lead, and I think she adds a unique color to the lineup
-Kim Gyuri: resident cutest member in the lineup and consistently good vocalist
-Um Jiwon: i am constantly surprised by how overlooked she is and besides Jiyoon i think she is one of the best vocalists on the show; only concern is her age though so my alternate would be:
-Nam Yuju: she has had good vocals, entertaining stage presence and facial expressions, and overall enjoyable to watch I feel but doesn't necessarily shine brighter for me than the other girls I have listed above
I am kinda mad at the fact that Koko and Saebi were not judged on basis of their dance skills
THIS!!like wth main dancer is a position which focuses mainly on dance not the stage presence or facial expression if they cared about the stage presense so much why not make two center position??it was like their dance didn't even matter they were only judging based on their expressions
Yk I’m here to give my opinion s:
1. No cus fr. Mai is sweet and talented but some of her fans act like she the best of the best and I don’t get it
5. I will say about this is stage presence can make a dance look way better and that’s why saebi won. Stage presence really carries so much in performances cus I seen dances that are overall are HORRIBLE look amazing cus the person dancing had amazing stage presence. So yea I understand her win
God loves you! Repent and believe that Jesus paid the price for our sins! He can give you so much love, joy and peace!.
HOPE THIS INFO HELP YOU
in ru next jeemin always stood out but rn she's just slowly disappearing GIRL WHAT HAPPENED
I don’t think she would suit a lineup with jeemin and saebi ect she looks very out place like the kep1er lineup
Chaeeun will have to work a lot on her vocals before debuting but it's ok since she is young, she has time
Are yall actually blind or choose to be blind about su jang , the reason she chose to be a vocalist is beacuse the mentors gave her shit about only dancing, and they only criticize her and when they complement her it's backhanded or followed by but.
It’s crazy bc sujung didn’t even say anything we didn’t already know about mai’s voice. But i think ppl are exaggerating
i will be honest i do not like mai's voice like at all i was suprised when i saw that she has lot of fans do not get me wrong i tried liking her but she does not stand out a lot and her voice is not my cup of tea she deserves to be an idol but again she is not one of my picks
@@Itsthefinaltime seriously she always sticks out in worst way possible
Honestly im 90% sure because of the jiyoon vs jungeun drama only one of them is gonna debut i know ment too well okay😭
Reminds me of Sunoo vs K from the prev season. & later on I saw behind clips of them playing together and having fun together?? but all they made us see was that k hated sunoo ://
Jungeun & jiyoon both are my picks but I can see the pattern here, the evil editing of jiyoon since the beginning just like K.
@@javeriaanwar5560 i didn't watch i land. Do the judges do any more eliminations at this point or is it all by votes?
Jiyoon and Jungeun are the main vocal there's no need to pick between them, a group can have two main vocal. While Fuko, Yuju, Sarang, Jeemin, Sujung (these are people in my 9 member line up) are the lead vocals.
okay but the fuko yui thing was 100% ur opinion bc fuko stood out sm for me😭
yuju and yui def shouldve won bruh i love fuko and mai but yui esp is soo good and underrated
some good underrated contestants are: minsol, yui, chaeeun and gyuri imo
my girl yui was ROBBED
I agree with pretty much everything you said especially ab mai, like I do like her and she was in my picks at one point but then I saw how she was lacking a bit but I think she needs a lot of work
Omg are you me?? I literally think of the same thing. Like every single one of them😭😭 tysm for speaking up❤😭
They dont hide it how they truly favor Mai in the show.
My personal picks
1. Jiyoon (she is queen the queen, she was the hidden gem the whole time, the new jiyoon feels like the "wild card entry")
2. Koko ( she is material girl lol, she works so hard on things that it shows like it's her natural talent )
3. Gyuri (she can fit in every possible concept that kind of girl she is, just the matter of time, tbh sometimes her visuals can surpass everyone )
4. Yuju (she is definitely hardworking one i hope she can understand how to make the best use of her body type in dancing)
5. Jeemin (her aura in the whole show is unreal, she works and works and works)
6. Mai (she need vocal training for her weakness and expressions guidance both but she is definitely the most idol looking in first glance among all ilanders )
7. Fuko (yall might think i am kidding rn but I'm being honest fuko have 101% potential but now i can't see something interesting coming out of her performance like i just seen episode 8 and i already forgot her parts in La vie en rose )
8. Jungeun (she is a vocal saver in the whole iland "unmatched" but now a days her vocals qualities keep on dropping and dropping it's like her having voice cracks everyday on every test songs)
9. Sarang (i love her she is bright angel she can grab spotlight with her sakura like visuals, but after the black test i realized with next to jeemin her visual doesnt stand out and because of it her vocals doesnt seems interesting because of visual drop )
10. Juwon (she need to change her style of perspective towards performance test songs, she need to make the song hers, not to get absorbed by the song, her style was okay because before there was less talented members dancing next to her so she was able to stand out but now it's totally different)
11. Saebi (i can't definite what made me put her on this rank, saebi is sweet, VISUAL YOUNG and very nice person but that doesn't mean she is "idol coded", from episode 1 to till this days, i don't think she was ever taken out of her comfort zone, it's like, she and comfort zone expressions resolving in the whole show)
Yea if she wasn’t charming we wouldn’t have noticed all the parts she got in songs have been very brief, it’s why I like her so much
@Itsthefinaltime look at the comments in this video bro lots of people are hating on mai for no reason. I get that some people won't like her voice because is unique and very nasal something that not everyone likes however that is just a preference, insulting her saying she sounds terrible and is straight up bad when honestly she is mid like that is mean.
i watched 1 episode, got bored and frustrated, left. I honestly dgaf about the show lmao
Well no. Yuju got overshadowed by the other contestants and Mai caught the attention of others and the judges. Even if her vocals need some improvement she knows how to catch other people attention.
I honestly think against anyone Fuko would've won. Why wouldn't the person credited on the song be singing it? It makes sense, even though it's an eye roll.
that's exactly what i was thinking.
Yuju should've totally won 🤷♀ Mai truly shouldn't debut
The whole thing is very much rigged and the judge comments are just to justify the riggory. I actually think that Sujung made a really good choice picking vocals - she gets to show another skill set, and her not giving up despite the criticism is good for her personality development on the show. The issue is that Mnet doesn’t like her so…
Really i feel like mnet is one thats pushing Sujung tho lol I like Sujung
@@BTSENGENEXGIZNAnope, mnet is freaking out because she’s getting more votes and yeeun currently, they exposed voting “interim” results only showing sujung yeeun and um jiwon, with sujung in the safe area and yeeun in the danger zone, making people think sujung is safe
and it was after 1 day, which they’ve never done before so they are freaking out lol
i need to know who you think is the judges' final lineup!!! as in the obvious picks, because i can't figure it out esp after the eliminations
Honestly I didn't get the hype around her before cause I didn't watch RUNext but when I saw her performances I knew it then
@@hobisanshine2914 I feel like she’s losing hope of debuting just because survival shows are normally rigged. That or they’re extremely evilly edited.
@@MBJK_baby Yea same... I can't see the same confidence she had in RUNext. But yk iland is so obviously rigged but she'll debut for sure. They knew we'll vote for her to save from eliminating. Her and Jungeun are surely in debut line
I haven't seen anything wrong so far in what she's done
Just like sujung, U guys are expecting more from her 😅
When they're people here that should have been eliminated already
Her dancing, vocals (she should get a part with more vocal input, I think people need to hear her), her prescence 😩💯
Yuju had better expression than Mai. Yui was more charismatic than Fuko. Lingling did her part a little better than jeungeun (only in this episode).
I understand them wanting to put the main dancers in the center for the dance sequences but it was taking up so much time and even in the practice montage they only focused truly on them (aside from sujung). What confused me is that they kept saying how Saebi is so pretty but they didnt really talk about her damce which they should have brought up. Another is that though I love Saebi, she was giving too much face that it was sometimes very uncomfortable but it is not the biggest issue.
folks you are talking about mnet, of course it's rigged.
i wouldn't hold my breathe for these girls to have a long career.
Yeah I doubt they will win anything wins on music shows tbh
Tbh … I like SUJANG a lot , at the end of the episode she realised she was wrong and you can see that 💗😭
Hehe risky but Ill put down my picks of who Id want to see in the group, not who I think will make it into the group ( sorry if i spell the names wrong) Jungeun, Yuju, Juwon, Fuko, Saebi, Sujung or Koko- i really like both of them they just happened to bith be strong dancers.
Mai would have been next in my line up. I really like her energy. She's a mood maker.
U are talking about sarang being better than jeemin and jeemin being overhyped
Can u compare the impact jeemin would have had if she was in sarang's spot in this special stage
Just imagine 😅
Her part was extremely short..
Sujung didn't pick main vocal, she first picked the center position but then Fuko used her advantage to pick center position so then Sujung couldn't do center position. (the song writer battle with Jiyoon(Fuko won) ).
HEAVY on the Yui should have won over Fuko! I ADORE Fuko but in this particular performance Yui ate her up imo
These girls will definitely in the line up or most of it based on MNET highlights and is often seen:
Jungeun
Jiyoon
Sarang
Saebi
Mai
Fuko
I'll be back after the announcement of the final line up
Personal opinion: yuju totally dissappeared in my eyes, but mai stood out in her part to me.
Ok ig
Absolutely agree with Yui better than Fuko. She really improved a lot.
Mark my word Mai will definetly debut, she's giving me Kotoko vibes. She's a pd pick.
sujung was very smart with her tactic and doesn’t want to be called a dancer anymore and I’m so proud of her for doing so!! With mai, in comparison it felt so short bc all she’s being praised for is her expressions and nothing else. It’s GREAT to have sp don’t get me wrong but she didn’t deliver much imo compared to yuju.
2:55 I don't think she's an all-rounder. Her vocals are extremely weak and rapping is mediocre.
Now look up the m countdown stage Mai can't sing well even one line in the song ㅠ ㅠ
i definitely agree with the saebi statement. she is also a pretty much good dancer, but her performance and stage presence really makes her shine
I need Mai to debut she’s been my number one fav since 1 episode 😭😭
Cant believe mai just get away with everything she is not that great vocally but she only gets 2 lines so it will not be obvious i dont see that much star quality or stage presence in her either but its obvious that she is like a comfirmed member to the lineup who will just directly win without any real judgements or anything special and her main speciality will be Visuals to draw new fans in ..this has been going on with survival shows forever they will never choose a group full of talent it will always be balanced with a visual member who they will give like 5 sec lines 😂
