I got cought up in the hype the last few weeks and backed it on Kickstarter when it opened this morning. The other Kruve / Kickstarter projects I backed in the past have worked out; hopefully, this will work out also.
Nice to see you actually holding this thing in your hands after I just read about it without any picture, lol. For me, it looks like a typical home-barista scam, like palm tampers with rotatable distribution needles integrated. I guess that most people that pay attention to use different spouts on different pours have more than one jug on their bar while others simply don’t need different spouts. 😅 The only use case that I see here is indeed being able to change the spout during a pour but I am not sure whether that’s really a thing for latte artists. 😅
I think it's a small audience overall, most people don't care about which jug they use for their pours. But I do honestly think it saves people getting multiple jugs and has a lot of versatility.
Cortados are the only milk based espresso beverage I drink so two of the three spouts are rendered pretty much useless for me at least, I like the challenge of getting anything that resembles art on a Cortado, but lets be honest, it doesn't make it taste better. I'm sure there's a market for them but they'll need to make larger sizes as well.
Honestly I've found the sharp and wide spouts to be the ones I use the most. The Sharp one has this great ability to pour through the espresso so you can do designs like hollow hearts with high velocity narrow milk. Hard to explain but it's useful
Just got mine and I’m having trouble swirling for texture. Do you recommend using a different pitcher first, swirl, pour into Kruve then hit the espresso or am I doing it wrong?
It's a little small so if you're doing a big drink it's gonna be harder to swirl. Try doing it in a separate jug and splitting into the Kruve one. How are you enjoying it so far?
On the Kickstarter campaign I only saw black sleeve - black metal body and white sleeve - silver metal body. Is there a possibility to buy a black sleeve with silver body colour?

The idea is great, but I am not familiar with handleless jug. And I agree with you that it needs to be larger

I'm not sure the size of your hands matters all that much. It's more about your preferred pouring style ;)
