i have a Super Reverb also! Its a 1971, i think. Not sure. Love that amp, but I don't have a man cave to play it at except the garage, and when the wife and son are out i can crank it! I only wish I had a Marshall!
Dude you are my hero! We have the same exact music taste. I got 1 Epiphone guitar, 1 pedal, and 1 piece of crap amp in my apartment and you got a whole studio full of goodies! I wish I was your neighbor! Pietasters Rancid Clash Ramones! I have the same poster and t-shirts as you. I'm blown away by your talent bro! We need to hang out or go sponging. I sponge dude. I'm in Georgia tho. Oh and Fender needs to straighten up
Hi Wyatt, got 3 questions for you,the black les paul use in videos ,what model is it and did you change out humbuckers and what strings gauge use on les paul, what happen to vox valvetronix use to use on your videos, Thank you so much, Happy New year to you and your Family,I hope you Feel better.Thank you,James
Hey James! My precious, my ‘Standard’ Les Paul is a 1997 model I bought from Guitar Center in 1998. Such a sweet axe it is. I replaced the stock pickups with the Seymour Duncan Hot Rod set which is their SH-4 and SH-2n pickups very popular and widely loved pickups. I strictly use D’Addario strings on all my guitars and the Les Paul, my Strat, Charvel and Baja Tele have their NYXL 09/46 strings on them, super nice strings highly recommend them! I use the 10/46 gauge strings on my Brian Setzer Gretsch. Got rid of my Vox Valvetronix amp many years ago, those older modeling amps do everything meh IMHO. The newer models are probably much better have not tried them yet but did just buy a Boss Katana modeling amp I keep at my father in laws house and that amp is awesome for like under $200 , can’t beat it!
I play in a punk covers band and you have helped massively in learning clash songs. If you were in the UK you could come and jam!! Keep up the great videos as many of us look forward to them.
Great video Wyatt! Great room set up you have. Do you earn a living from your talents or do you have to have a job!!! Best wishes for the New Year and thanks for all the videos
Andrew Parfitt hey Andrew! Thanks for your kind comment. I’m a CPA believe it or not. When I was 28 I saw the dark tunnel of my future if I continued to spin my wheels here in Oceanside playing with the very small talent pool that was available. I Wasn’t prepared to take it to the next level and move to LA or elsewhere in the quest for making a living off my music. So, I threw in the towel in 98’ and went back to school. It really hurt turning my back on my dream and that’s one major reason why I do my vids. Always will have the music in me and need this home studio to get me thru this nightmare existence 😉
hope u n family had a nice xmas mate.ive been duped lol..i always thought u were a londoner by the way u sing.anyway hope u get better man.keep the faith.
Rik Antony lol, my Dad grew up in England but I was born and raised in California. I’m partial to English sensibilities and bands, good lawd at least 50% of these wankers here in the USA have been makin’ me sick my whole life I tell ya. Cheers Mate
Thought you would like to know that the music will carry on! The School of Rock in Roseville, Ca just announced that their Rock 101 program geared toward ages 8-11 years old will feature "The Clash" Vs "The Ramones" starting in January!
cool rec about the Blade Runner. I bought Mexican Vintage Strat. I love it, and it actually usually stays in tune ok but could be better. The problem I have had is buzzing. It buzzes with open strings, it buzzes on fretted notes, and frets out on the high notes. I know Strats are known for buzzing and fretting out with bigger bends, but this is ridiculous. I has taken it in to this shop that refretted my Les Paul (I think you've seen it. I haven't done videos and probably won't anymore but....anyway....) and he did a great job with that guitar but with the Strat, he fixed some bad frets and lowered the action. It was too low and I raised the action, but now it still buzzes-like I said, all over the f'n place. It makes me want to just sell it. But I still might try to fix it. It might be that this neck-since it is a "vintage" wasn't made for bending, blues, lead etc (while newer strats might have the compound neck) So I don't know....thanks for this great video. Cool to see what people have.
Sorry that strat is giving you trouble that sucks, some instruments just seem like they need extra work to get set up properly and if it becomes a burden i say sell it and try again. Lord knows I’ve been thru alot of guitars and few are real keepers.
@@WyattScott yep I don't know if this strat will be a "keeper." i will probably have it assessed by someone and see what they say. how are you doing? I know a while back you weren't feeling well. hope you're feeling much better!
@@icitnow sorry for not getting back to you sooner! I've been feeling much better this past year since then, only been a little sick here and there, but yeah, that was fucking a rough one lol. No Covid yet knock on wood, lol!
@@WyattScott No problem. Glad to hear you're doing better! I look forward to your covers! No covid for me either. got both my vaccinations and hoping that will cover me.
