After 2 yrs, mine stopped working. The water would heat up but the pump quit and wouldn't dispense anything into the mug. We used it pretty heavily, though (5-6 times/day), so I wasn't too upset. For the price, it's still a good value.
Yeah that is pretty heavy usage. I would say it lasted pretty good for the price also. At least Walmart is still selling them and they are the same price. What is your favorite part of this machine? Also What is your favorite K cup?
Dude I’m here because I’ve gone through 3 Kuerigs in the last year: all the same thing. Hot water won’t dispense. After the 3rd one failing, (only one cup per day) I called the 1800 number and they denied my claim because I didn’t have the receipt. I spent about $300 in the last year. I’m going to wal mart right now and buying this coffee maker for $10. At $10 I won’t care if it messes up, and it will probably outlast the cheap Kuerig.
I have this coffee maker and it makes great coffee after six months of having it. Definitely recommend buying it. It’s an affordable and decent coffee machine.
They have updated the maker to be quieter and the grounds basket now has a closable lid to prevent grounds from getting on to the nozzle area. Still $20. Water is 190F or so coming out. One of the best budget makers around.
I just had my 1st cup of coffee. Worked great. Two points: if you use the ground coffee cup option,(which I did), notice that there is an indicator on the inside and outside that shows the max fill level. Also I plan to get a funnel since pouring water into the narrow reservoir, even from a cup, usually results in water going everywhere. Until then I guess I'll just fold a piece of paper in two. I used RO water, Great Value Classic Roast, Coffeemate Zero sugar Vanilla Caramel and one packet of Great Value Zero calorie Stevia. I'm on Keto. Have lost 65 lbs. in 7 months. Never drank coffee in my life except a couple of times and hated it, but wished I didn't. I'm thrilled that my tastes must have changed. I enjoyed this 12 ounces. This has opened a whole new world for me. I hope I have not created a monster. lol. Sorry for the long post.
At $20 this is a much better deal than the Keurig machines, and I’m sure it will last much longer. Just went through 3 Keurig’s in the past year. Spent about $300 replacing them, then after the 3rd one I got smart and called the 1800 number. They denied my warranty because the machine was supposedly older than a year old. It was not, but I paid cash and didn’t have the receipt, and same with the first two, so I got fed up and said F Keurig. Then I came across this machine and it is quieter, more versatile, and if it busts in less than a year, it’s no thing to replace. Definitely happy with my purchase today.

Just bought one a few days ago, did not even know Walmart made there own. It does NOT shut off if you use a small cup, there are no size settings so you have to manually stop it or you will have coffee overflowing, but for $20 I have no issues with stopping it manually. Also it does take about a extra 2 minutes than a brand name one, but once again for $20 I don't have any issues with that. It does get extremely hot compared to the brand name ones, but better than Luke warm. It blows my mind I can get one of these for $20 instead of around $50 for a couple of minor features not included. Outstanding.

Question for anyone that wants to answer. Is the taste of coffee brewed in a more expensive K Cup maker ( like Kerrigan) really that much better than a cheaper model? The cost is so much more but seems to me it is just water running thru the Kcup. I don’t understand the price difference. What am I missing?
Cindy, this is a great question. I hope other people leave comments also. This is my opinion and I am not an expert, I have only been drinking coffee for about 3 years. I am a beginner. You are correct the cheaper ones in my opinion do just as good as real expensive ones. Over time I think people like to have extra features that make brewing there cup of coffee easier. Also the more expensive ones can a bit easier to clean like the water reservoir. I will say that one of Keurig's more expensive machine, the K-Supreme has 5 needles at the top and they call it multi brew, I think it does provide a little better tasting coffee. but it also cost $150 so is it worth it maybe not, but it also has lots of features that make brewing coffee a lot easier and faster. Thanks for Asking!!!!
One reviewer recommended pushing the k-cup onto the lower needles rather than just closing the lid per usual. I think it gives stronger coffee but your mileage may vary. 😁 When I'm not otherwise occupied, turning the coffee maker off just as it puts out a little coffee definitely gives more bang for the buck.
how many watts does this thing use? I would like to use this for camping but run it from my truck 300 watt portable inverter. I would think it would work but then again the heating it up in the beginning uses a lot of energy. Great video review!

I use grounded coffee and just found out I was drinking and half of a pot worth in one cup I was thinking it just made good strong coffee lol... thanks man 👍💯
Great Question. they are kind of 2 different machines. The Hamilton beach does not do K cups, you have to add your ground coffee each time and clean up after each use. This machine will let you use K cups or your own coffee grounds. The scoop is nice but if you want to use k cups then you will need this. if you are only brewing your own coffee grounds then the Scoop would be my pick.
Mix 1/2 tea spoon of vinegar w 8 oz water. Pour into it and hit the brew button. Try diff amt of vinegar if scales too thick. Do it several times until the scales are gone.
My-Cap - Caps (including the My-Cap 2.0 Ring) to Reuse Your Keurig K-Cup would these work with this machine? Can you explain the 2.0 Ring? I would like to reuse my kuric cups. Thank you. Can someone answer this question. Thank you.
I need to buy the filter and the water container for this little machine. Looking on your box to see if there's a phone number or website.... Does anyone know???? Is there a place to buy parts?
Is there a difference what machine I use if it brews a k cup? Like is there a difference between this versus the Keurig mini versus chefman... If they all can brew the same k cup?
Great question and I get this alot. So for the most part this machine does just as good a job as some of the Keurig's like the mini. What makes some of the Keurigs appealing are the extra things they do. Like have a reservoir that you don't have to put water in everytime. Like be a little bit more fast. LIke have a strong brew option and being able to just select a button to get the same size every time. Now when you get in the more expensive Keurigs I have found you can get a little better tasting K cup coffee. The K Supreme with its multibrew 5 needles on top, I have found makes a better cup of coffee than this machine, but it cost around $100.
I would like mine so much more if it had filters for it that's tall enough for the little ground coffee thing. It leaves nasty dark yuck in the bottom of my coffee cup. Very messy to clean the little basket. How about making filters tall enough for the basket?!?
Just put mine on the solar battery and it read output 1000 watts and would run at that rate for an hour but at less than two minutes a cup, I'm okay with it 👌
Oddly, my eye doctor has a Keurig in the waiting room and I'm fascinated by it even though I think it makes rather mediocre coffee. I want to buy this or the Chulux, just to play with. For 20 bucks, what the heck. I doubt it will replace my 5-cup Bonavita.
For some reason I can't even close my lid while using the ground coffee basket. The basket already has a lid of it's own, and when closing the coffee maker's lid, the needle makes contact with the basket lid, preventing me from closing it. I have no idea why this is happening.
@@JustADad I discovered the problem! The small lid on the coffee grounds basket was attached backwards, I had to pull it off the hinge and flip it over, no more problems!
Hello. Do you thinks reusable k cup would fit into this ? The reason I ask is because I've seen people use those reuseable k cups (the purple one) to put in their tea bags and brew their tea that way and I'd like to be able to do the same. Thank you.
We recently bought one of these and really like the versatility. Recently though, when using k-cup pods, the grounds are coming out and ending up in the coffee. I didn’t realize how bad it was until the grounds actually clogged the coffee spout and the machine overflowed through the top pod door. I tried putting a little piece of paper towel under the pod to try and catch the grounds, which helped a lot, but still had a lot of grounds get by and into coffee. Has anyone else had this problem and figured out a solution?
Have you tried running just water through it a few times.... until what dispenses is totally clear? I do that w/ my pod brewer at least once a week. Hope that helps.
This has to be the most frustrating thing ever. I have tried the pods and using the ground coffee basket and no matter what I do no coffee will fill into my cup. I put 10 oz if water in it. What could I be doing wrong?
Not really sure, you might have a bad one. has it been doing it since you opened it. Is there water left over in the back when its done brewing? if not then your blue steps could not be showing you the correct amount of water does it brew all the water you put in the back you can remove the blue thing and look.
My dad never used the k cup holder just the reusable filter. Now he wants to try the cups but we lost the holder. Anyone know where I can get a replacement? We don't want to have to replace the entire thing
Which reusable k cup is compatible with the Walmart mainstays single serve coffee maker? I bought the purple wire mesh from Walmart and although it is labeled as universal it doesn't fit.
I just got this coffee pot and when I use the pod (with the pod insert holder), almost all of the grounds from the pod end up in my cup so I wasted 2 pods already when just trying this. I tried to add a small piece of filter in the pod holder, but then it overfilled and started coming out the top. I really like the option of being able to use a pod or grounds, so is there something I'm doing wrong that all of the grounds from the pod are ending up in with the coffee? Any suggestions would help, as I'd like to keep this for the versatility and price to use occasionally, but if I can't use pods without having coffee sludge, it's a problem. Thanks in advance if anyone has any suggestions.
Out all the video you the only one that show how to uses the ground coffee part thank you

The K Supreme with its multibrew 5 needles on top, I have found makes a better cup of coffee than this machine, but it cost around $100.
My universal Re-usable k-cup doesn't fit, the lid is too thick, won't allow top of coffee maker to close. Is there a particular brand that will fit?
for those that worry about if it will last a three year extended warranty is available when you buy the coffee maker for $3.
Great Tip!!!!
I would like mine so much more if it had filters for it that's tall enough for the little ground coffee thing. It leaves nasty dark yuck in the bottom of my coffee cup. Very messy to clean the little basket. How about making filters tall enough for the basket?!?
Thank you for the review. Do you know the watts? I am looking for a coffee maker for my RV and an inverter.
No, sorry
Just put mine on the solar battery and it read output 1000 watts and would run at that rate for an hour but at less than two minutes a cup, I'm okay with it 👌
Can you run milk through it?
NO just water. thanks for watching!!!
Will the Mainstay work at 6000+ feet above sea level? The Chulux unit does not
I doubt it, if the Mainstay did not then This one probably will not. you might try a Keurig, they have a High Altitude setting.
Does the coffee have any plasticy taste??
no I did not have that.
Make sure the basket that holds the k cup in installed properly, that is what I found it mine was off a bit then the lid would not close.
@@JustADad I discovered the problem! The small lid on the coffee grounds basket was attached backwards, I had to pull it off the hinge and flip it over, no more problems!
@@R3N1GM4 Good Job!! way to go!!!
Hello. Do you thinks reusable k cup would fit into this ? The reason I ask is because I've seen people use those reuseable k cups (the purple one) to put in their tea bags and brew their tea that way and I'd like to be able to do the same. Thank you.
yes They should fit, Thanks for watching
Can we use coffee beans?
yes but you will have to grind them to a medium grind.
But mine stop working the water don’t come out anymore
Is there water left over in the back when its done brewing?
if not then your blue steps could not be showing you the correct amount of water
does it brew all the water you put in the back you can remove the blue thing and look.
Is it still working? I just hope if I buy it that it will work for some time
Yes It is still working. I think it will last you a good bit. Thanks for watching!!
They offer warranty protection for up to 3 years.
@@woodswal Thanks good to know.
Is it possible to add milk instead of water? I wanna make a latte
no this will ruin the machine.
Walmart mainstay supposedly has a new and improved version of this $20 coffee maker have you reviewed that one?
Thanks good vid!
Glad you liked it!
Got the same coffee machine a a week today if you would have match water paint Max
It works great for disposable k cups but the reusable k cups won't fit
Hi , mine recently stopped working , when I go to make my coffee , it barely brings the water out . Do you know how to fix ?
Have you descale it before, it might be time. or clean the bottom and top needles.
I love mine but sadly my buddy broke the k cup holder and now I must buy a whole new machine
Sorry that happened, What is your best drink you make with this?
@@JustADad I make the death wish coffee ☕ I usually have 5 cups before I go to work
@@shaggyFL Ok You have my attention, 5 Cups!! wow!!! That is a really strong coffee with lots of caffeine. be careful!
Any idea the wattage this uses?
My dad never used the k cup holder just the reusable filter. Now he wants to try the cups but we lost the holder. Anyone know where I can get a replacement? We don't want to have to replace the entire thing
Does anyone know what wattage is needed for the coffee maker? is it less then 400 wats?
I hope someone can help Thanks for watching.
Bought this about a month ago, and now soon as i press the button it brews cold water. It use to heat up before brewing
Which reusable k cup is compatible with the Walmart mainstays single serve coffee maker? I bought the purple wire mesh from Walmart and although it is labeled as universal it doesn't fit.
You don’t need a reusable one. It comes with a coffee grounds basket for coffee grounds
When we use ours for grounds it shoots water all over the place out the top
make sure the coffee is a medium grind and do not pack the coffee grounds.
Thanks because I was going to fill at the top of the max line.
Glad it helped, Thanks For Watching!!!
Is this BPA free?
