Bought that machine love it and not complicated....and bought those same cups as well. This machine works well for the price and made me a lovely gift to myself.
Travis, thanks for the video! It actually explained what I wanted to know about the machine. Specifically, how to brew the different sizes and how to use the K-cups. Just got mine today for $19.92. Like you said, you get the basket to brew with your own coffee which used to be around $18. For $19.92, you can't beat it. It took me about 4:19 for a 14 oz. cup and about 2:50 for an 8 oz. cup. That is from pressing the button to the last drop. I would just hit the button then go do something else while it brews, not a big deal. I also bought the Walmart K-cups which were about .33 each. I'm drinking a cup as I type this!!!
MikeDistress Right on! Yeah, the machine is not a speed demon but for the low price it is worth it. I still use mine for 1-2 cups per day and it still runs like a champ! Hope you like those WM brand K cups, I love the French roast!
@@travisp11, that is good to know! I told my friend at work I had bought this machine and that if it broke in 6 months, I would just buy another. He is on his second Keurig machine and my second crapped out early this year and these were $100+ machines. Walmart actually has a decent selection of K cups as well. And just for the record, I checked the temperature right at the end of brewing and measure around 152°. Definitely have to let it cool a bit before drinking.

@@travisp11, exactly.I believe I paid around $130 for mine. I think it was either a pump failure or a clog. Maybe both, no idea. I ordered some ground coffee so I am going to try the mesh filter hopefully tomorrow. I did the math and it worked out to roughly .24¢ per cup based on a 10 ounce cup.
@@metal_shavings Cool! Make sure it is a drip grind and dont fill the basket filter up higher than the mottom of the max fill mark on the cup. Also, I believe you want to use the bottom buttom to brew with the mesh filter.
I purchased this about a month ago and I love it!!!! $49 in Bermuda, though. I LOVE it!! Takes up little space.....you can actually remove the catch tray at the bottom for taller cups.
I bought mine awhile ago for only 10 bucks and I love it! I’ve had a Keurig before and I didn’t really notice a difference. It makes a great cup of coffee.
Thanks for this review, as a student who is only in the US for 4 months I wanted to get a cheap coffee maker since my roommate will be moving out soon and so will take her coffee maker, I’m definitely going to buy this one!
I bought this k cup maker as a 2nd coffee maker at Dad's house. It's complicated, but thank you for your video. You saved me from buying a "k cup model" There are numerous times the blue light goes on and off which is the most confusing issue of this coffee maker. I didn't know if it was shutting off or brewing.
I just picked one up for the RV on your recommendation. It worked great this morning! Just wanted to add about the height of the unit. It fits a 7-inch-tall travel mug, but it just barely fits, so that seems to be the limit of what it can handle. I also picked up the Great Values French Roast k-cups, and I can say that I'm pretty impressed by how tasty the coffee is. Not my favorite k-cup I've ever had, but very doable on a day-to-day basis. Thanks for the info!
Great review! Saw this the other day at the store at Walmart, of course they were out of stock lol. Going to purchase one today so I can keep it here on my big truck with me.
Mine finally gave out after 4 years of daily use. Many times I would make 2 cups per day off of it. I gave up counting how many total cups it made but it had to be well beyond 1,000
Super helpful! I'm in WalMart and wanted to watch a video review before purchasing. I actually plan to use it mostly with reusable k-cups and loose tea.
Its nice to have if you just wanna generate a cup of hot water. Should work well for you! If you don’t want to run it with a k cup I recommend a deep mug as it pushes out the water with quite a bit of pressure when there is no K cup in the machine.
I have had this a few years and love it!!! I actually loved it so much that I just bought another one after returning the Mr Coffee combo brew. It is so easy to use!!! Especially compared to the Mr Coffee. and the flex brew both of which I returned.
Just reading my comments on these it seems like there are a few out there that either dont work right out of the box or fail after a few months but the majority of the feedback I get is that they hold up. I’m still using the same one that I showed in this video.
Just got this today on accident/purpose. Pops came home with some ground coffee and leaves small seeds. Since I saw it came with the reuseable ground coffee holder was a plus and just so excited to get this. Tried it 2 times today and works great💯 read the Manuel and full it up with water let it cycle aka run till it’s done. Suggest 2 times before actually putting ground coffee in. Just to make sure everything is washed out. Give this 10/10 steamy hot plus side don’t have to get yourself a spoon to stir just pour let it do it’s thing throw out the left overs the seeds as I call it and your good to go. Add yourself some sugar and milk if needed or your preference. Glad I got this only one left😂 if anyone’s sees this trust me sabes you tons on those coffe holder things.
I don't know why anyone would say that this coffeemaker is difficult to use. That aside, I bought one of these a year ago when we were making a trip to Vegas. I am not the type of person that wants to shower, dress and pamper before having their coffee. When I wake up I want coffee NOW. I purchased some coffee pods, disposable cups and mini creamers and was ready to go. Our entire party congregated in my room to have coffee. This little guy did not disappoint. The coffee make relatively fast (4-5 minutes) and it was HOT. At home, my coffeemaker suddenly died (after many years of faithful service). I pulled out my trusty single cup machine and ~ because of its design ~ was able to use my usual coffee without the use of pods. My only complaint is, that of ending up with this nasty residue in the bottom of the cup when using my own coffee. I remedied that by purchasing some "pod size" filters, that I use inside the one provided. No more residue. I have more than gotten my $20 worth out of this little guy.
@@clairmariemcgrath4913 I don't use filters in it. You can use your pre filled K cup or if yours includes the ground coffee reusable filter you can use that one, too. I don't know if this is compatible with any other reusable k cup filters.
Just brought one home today. Already did a few test runs and I’m very impressed with how hot it brews. Much hotter than my last 5 cup coffee maker. I look forward to using it.
I still use mine daily! There are a few out there that have issues right out of the box but we have 2, one at home and one at work and they both function fine.
I just bought this coffee maker after watching this video earlier yesterday. It's my first coffee maker ever, and it seems to be pretty promising already. Thanks for doing such a great job here with your review!
it's still selling for $19.92! I've been looking for a coffee maker that doesn't take up a whole lot of counter space and this is looking like it'll be perfect :D thanks for the review
Thanks for the Great Review your the first person that described that the coffee is hot and actually tasted the coffee most people who did reviews on this product didn't even taste the coffee, I will be purchasing this product and Returning the Keruig Mini that I recently brought because it only makes Luke Warm cups of coffee not hot.
If you dont mind waiting a few minutes for the coffee to brew it works just fine. The coffee is plenty hot and runs well. Ive had mine since May or June of 2019 and I make 2 cups per day with it.
Great video very great video!!! I'm getting this for Christmas because my husband gave me a $100.00 to spend for Christmas for me and I seen this today and I thought so cool because I got a coffee mug with a snowman on it with 3 packages of instant hot chocolate and a package of Starbucks ground coffee in a gift swap at my church group Christmas party a two weeks ago and I need a coffee maker to make the coffee and I love coffee too!!! Again great video very fun and lively you showed exactly how to use it and measure everything in your review and I'll refer back to it when I need too!!! 🤗☕️❤️🤗☕️❤️🤗☕️❤️
Thanks for watching! One thing you should know is that sometimes they don’t include the ground coffee filter basket. Check the box and see if it says it is included. If it’s not in there, immediately return it. Also, if you use ground coffee, use a coarse grind and do not fill pad past the coffee full line on the filter basket. Thanks for watching and enjoy!
Just bought mine this morning. I like it overall, and it’s an awesome value! My only issue: I used a Dunkin k-cup, and my coffee had a lot of grounds in it. Am I doing something wrong? I read the instructions in the box, and they didn’t have any troubleshooting for this. I used the appropriate k-cup holder. Please help!
Alee Devaney I’ve run many different KC ups through mine but never any from Dunkin. My thoughts are that they use a fine grind that gets pushed through the puncture straw. Other thing, did you open and close the lid more than once before brewing? That can created a large puncture hole on top and underneath. If you don’t get this issue on other k cups it is simply the grind that Dunkin uses mixed with the large puncture needles
I just purchased 1 yesterday I am totally satisfied. I juggled the thought for a long while & I'm glad I waited. I always called this the "stingy " machine because it brews 1 cup at a time. Traditionally we brew it by the pot to share with family and friends. I do miss a bit of the delightful aroma that accompanies the full pot drip machine method. Keurig offers a machine with a duo option to brew a pot or a single cup for $99. Nonetheless I am totally satisfied with this machine.
I was surprised to see you drinking my favorite coffee! I love the french roast and I don't care for coffee snobbery.. lol thanks for the review of this coffee maker too, good to know!
I got mine yesterday. An easy way to measure the water to put in it. Is the first put water in your mug. Then use the mug to fill the water tank. So that you know for sure. How much water you need.
Bummer! Purchased this to take to our timeshare. Out of the gate, sprayed hot water and steam out the BACK of the maker...none in the cup, using an actual K-cup, that we've used at home on our regular Keurig maker. Not sure why...tried this 2x, and same results both times!🥺
I will add, yes it does take about a minute or two longer than the brand names, but once again for $20 no complaints. Also as he mentioned it gets almost to hot, but better to hot than Luke warm.
@@lisasadler6426 or that they didn’t know how much water to add. Yeah, the marks are a bit hard to read in the reservoir but you can always take your mug of water and pour that directly into the tank.
@@lisasadler6426 I agree. I am happy to have viewers and comments but it sometimes blows my mind those things that people complain and/or dont know how to do.
Out of stock online but I just went to Walmart to get some salad and I saw it. $20 is good deal. Also I found a 120 pack of Kirkland brand dark roast for $31 at Costco.
Great review! I’m literally watching it in the Coffee maker aisle at Walmart! Your review convinced me to buy it for my work office! SMASHED the like and I subscribed as well! Thanks Brah!🤙🏽
Thanks for watching! Quick heads up on that coffee maker. If you use ground coffee instead of K cup, don't fill above the fill line, use a drip grind only and be sure to hit the ground coffee brew button and not the k cup brew button.
The rear is the water tank. That blue cup is just an insert that has a hole in it and it is used to show you your fill lines. It goes from the tank on the rear to the water heater/pump and then pushed through your k cup.
Mine finally stopped working in November of 2023. I had been using Trader Joe’s k cups and they always seem to require a ton of pressure to brew regardless of the maker that I use. They probably have put the nail in the coffin for my brewer.
I have been wanting an inexpensive k cup coffee maker. I am not a coffee drinker unless I get sick with sinus or throat problems. That's when I need hot liquids..
YoderTexas nice thing about this one is that it doesn’t take up much space. I didn’t try it without a cup but I’d imagine you could use it to quickly make hot water, too for your needs. I wanted to use it for a while before doing a review on it and it runs well!
Thanks for the review. I wonder if the folks having the problem have units that are pumping out the hot water too quickly? At this price, the quality control may be inconsistent when the fresh grind method is chosen? Or they may be simply using too fine a grind? Maybe using less water and less ground coffee, say just six ounces of water and half of the filtered container might resolve the issues even if it's being pumped out to quickly. Though if that's the case you would know it right away and immediately return it as defective. Ordered it and will be picking it up tomorrow then using it on both a k-pod and fresh ground...we shall see.
I think it is a combination of too much coffee and too fine a grind that causes the issue and you have to hit the reusable filter button and not the k cup bitton
Bought it and it works well. Even makes espresso if you just use a level teaspoon and 5 ounces of water. Yes, the fine grind would flood it as it's not programmed for the very slow gradual pumping if the water that would require. It wouldn't have cost much more to have made it user programmable varying the the pumping speed to match the grind as required. Also the K cup needs to be pressed down firmly so that the bottom is full pierced so you get all the flavor out if it. All in all it works as well as any Keurig at ten times the price. For a few bucks more they could add a timer and program in varying the drip speed for different grinds.
I bought one a couple of weeks ago and it works great. The only problem I had was I thought the ground coffee max line was at the top of the max label. Which was my mistake.
I know this is an old video but I'm having a lot of trouble with mine. When I use a kcup the machine overruns at the lid and when I use ground it just dumps grinds into the cup but I'm making sure to press them down all the way before I start the machine
Vincent Michael Have you tried a few different brands of k cups? Also, check the puncture needle in the lid, is it clogged? Unclog it with a small paper clip.
Vincent Michael no problem. The coffee maker may have a faulty electric pump and the majority of the cups I use are great value but I’ve had boxes with k cups that had bad seals.
It did exactly the same to me until i saw i was not using the adaptor basket the right way. You must be sure its locked LOCKED in the right way when using the plastic KILLTHISPLANETNOW k cups. When using your own basket do not use the adaptor. Never put free roaming grounds in the little basket that sits over the water tank. Disaster. Ignor it. Does this help? M. IL. (ELGIN) ☕
I got one of these and pretty happy. Only problem is that the water passes the grounds too fast. I am experimenting with paper filters. Tried a paper filter with a reusable k cup and water spurts out the sides. I guess pressure is too high.
Thanks for making this review. I'm a journalist and travel a lot. I hate hotel coffee makers. They're rarely effective, often nasty, and you look weird asking the front desk for 24 pods for a two-day stay. I saw the reviews on Walmart's site and saw people recommending watching a video first. So, I watched the video, and I'm psyched to make my first cup of coffee with this baby. I think it will be a good travel companion. I appreciate your time in making this review of what some would consider a "cheap" product not worthy of a video. When you're on the road, coffee is LIFE.
I agree completely that coffee is life! When I travel I usually pack a few packets of instant coffee for emergency situations. While the coffee maker I featured in this video is a bit tall, it is very light weight and easy to travel with. I think I’ve used mine for close to 90 days now and I make 2-3 cups per day with it. It gets the water plenty hot, too! Thanks for the compliments and have safe but highly caffeinated travels!
Travis, thanks for the information in this video. These K-Cup Coffeemakers are all new to me, and, I needed information on how to use them. Thanks for letting me know not to use tap water in them, so they don't become damaged. 👍
QUESTION: This one is missing the blue water filter that came with it. There is just an empty tank. Will this cause a problem and will the water pass somewhere it should not get to(if I used it without this filter)? This was given to me by a church. THANKS!
Ive gone thru two of these in the past six months. Lots of grounds in coffee. Top pops off while brewing, splattering the ceiling. Tried different brands of k cups. The first one worked well for a while. 2nd was junk out of the box. Not buying a third. Let me know if you’ve had this problem and found a fix.
Good luck finding one now. My local walmart doesn't have them, the next town up lists them available on their website but I stopped yesterday on my way home from work and no luck. BTW, bottled water still has minerals. Distilled water has zero.
@@gregcrabb3497 I agree. I’ve had a softener in past homes and they are nice. That and a filter system just about eliminates the need to use filtered water.
I bought mines and tried it today! Only thing is for mines I thought the water was going boil out the reservoir because it was smoking hot and the lid was coming up in the back! Other than that I would recommend for the price. I will try it one more time before I return it, mine might be defective!
I had a single coffee maker like this. It worked great. I think I got rid of it😔. Anyway today at Goodwill I found a cute little 4 cup coffeemaker. $6. Fortunately the new coffee maker reeks of flavored coffee. Will be buying one of these.
@@nicksmith6629 I am enjoying an k cup Ethiopian Sidamo from TRADER JOES with a bit of International brand vanilla creamer. I put a bit of the creamer in the cup and I have a perfect cup each time.

You can contact mainstays to see if they can sell or send you a new one. That is the downfall of this product which are its special coffee and kncup holders
I was needing to see a specific focus on the measure of water. As soon as I start pouring the water in, it starts to flow out into the reservoir...impossible to measure using the blue measure, for me anyway.
@@travisp11 It is marked, but as soon as I pour the water in, it just flows right out down into the reservoir below. Oh well, I will just measure water in a measuring cup and pour it in...thank you!😊
Knight No. Ground allows you to use your own coffee and gives you less pressure than the capsule button when it runs so that it doesn’t over fill the filter basket too quickly.

@@tasteofnebraska wow. Is bc people are lazy now. They probably believe that this coffee maker is suppose to just get up and walk over to the sink to get its own water and then they think its also suppose to get the kcup and insert the cup itself also right. Like how hard can it be. Everything is pretty easy and self explanatory...i mean it really can't get much easier to explain then the pictures they have in the instructions.. The world is in trouble. Like for real. In trouble. ..
I’ve had a few people comment that they have had the same issue. I think there are a few lemons out there unfortunately. The water should be plenty hot.
I may have confused myself in what I said vs. what I was trying to say. However much water you put in the machine will come out in the single brewing cycle. You really can’t stop it from only taking so much out of the tank, it will always drain the tank.
@@larrybabin3777 it’s happened a few times when I’ve used too much coffee. I usually just use one tablespoon and that’s it and I don’t fill up over the max fill line on that particular filter.
Bought this and it worked once and on the second try i got it started and left the room. When i came back a couple mins later, lights were off and havnt been able to get it to work since. Moved to different outlet and cleaned it but the lights never come on. Any ideas?
Sounds like it shorted out or had a complete electrical failure. I would return jt. If the lights don’t come on when you plug it in, it definitely is broken.
the flavor is not the same brewing a cup with the reusable filter as a reusable (or pod) k cup. the reusable filter brews the same way as pot coffee makers. the k cup method shoots the hot water through the k cup -as i'm sure happens when a pod is used in this machine. i bought the machine to use with my reusable k cups (like any other k cup machine i have ever had). it works but having seemly built it to NOT work with reusable kcups was weird. the taste is much different and wouldnt have cost them anymore to make it where reusable cups would fit.
all of that said, since my old k cup machine broke and is no longer an option, and i will not spend more than this on another unit, the reusable k cups i had would be useless. for the mainstays unit, it is the lid of the reusable k cup that gets in the way of the latch. i just took the lid off and used a piece of foil over the top of it. worked fine and tasted much better than the ground option using the provided reusable filter.
n o Open the water reservoir lid and look down. There are markings by the ounce. I think it is labeled 6, 8, 10 ounces, etc. Pour the water in up to the number of ounces you want and you are set. Yup, you can run just hot water out of it for say tea or instant foods.

Thanks for watching!
@lovelyoshun8831 how do you use the K cup?
I have had this a few years and love it!!! I actually loved it so much that I just bought another one after returning the Mr Coffee combo brew. It is so easy to use!!! Especially compared to the Mr Coffee. and the flex brew both of which I returned.
yes it is a little slow to brew:)
Just reading my comments on these it seems like there are a few out there that either dont work right out of the box or fail after a few months but the majority of the feedback I get is that they hold up. I’m still using the same one that I showed in this video.
Thank you so much for your review and simple instructions how to use it. I just purchased and was so scared of how to use it lol.
Glad to help!
Right on!
Walmart should endorse you because I'm headed to buy my mom, grandma and myself one. Great details 👌. Thanks friend. 😊
The product does speak for itself, but there can be the occasional defective unit out there. I used mine daily with no issues. Thanks for watching!
Thank you. I'm poor, and was hoping this wasn't junk. I appreciate you testing this.
Im still using this same coffee maker to this day, just about daily. Runs like a champ!
The fresh residue oils and pulp are the best part.
what brand of of size filters fits this machine?
@@clairmariemcgrath4913 I don't use filters in it. You can use your pre filled K cup or if yours includes the ground coffee reusable filter you can use that one, too. I don't know if this is compatible with any other reusable k cup filters.
I tried different brands of reusable plastic filters (not paper) and the machine doesn't close, wish there was one that fits!
Thank you. I bought this. Put it in our camper, and hadn’t used it yet. I forgot it was a push button. I couldn’t figure out how to open it. 🤦🏻♀️
I know! For the $20 I paid I’m still using the same one!
@Mike Taylor May have burned out the pump or possibly overheated it by running it with no water.
@Mike Taylor I don’t blame ya. Not a bad idea. Mine still runs fine and it’s the same one from my review.
I got one 3years ago been working awesome,I only use bottle water,I’ve Hurd faucet water might clogged it
I only used Britta filtered water in mine and it finally stopped working last month after years of daily use.
it's still selling for $19.92! I've been looking for a coffee maker that doesn't take up a whole lot of counter space and this is looking like it'll be perfect :D thanks for the review
I just left Walmart from getting mine ❤ going to try it in the morning before work ☺️
There are lemons out there so no guarantees you won’t have issues but I’m still using the same one that I had from this video.
@Muarice Ederington if they are Keurig compatible K cups they should woke but if they are Nespresso they won’t.
@Muarice Ederington No. those are made for a Nespresso espresso coffee maker.
How do You recomnend for cleaning....???
Rinse, submerge it completly, or just part of it....???
Thanks.....
I’m still using mine daily with pitcher filtered water and I have yet to actually clean it.
Thank you for the reply! I will try a different k-cup. I just wanted Dunkin’ so much! 😕
Alee Devaney no problem. I am a huge fan of their coffee (and donuts, unfortunately) but I may try some of their K cups and see what happens.
Alee Devaney one last thing, be sure to wash out the pod holder after each use and that will minimize sediment in the next cup
@@travisp11 Yes. I think Dunkin is much better than Starbucks.
Thanks for the review man! I was going to buy a Keurig but this looks like it works just as good! Good price!
The occasional lemon is out there but if you have any problems with it take it back to the store.
Decent maker. Mine lasted about 3 year's before it started spewing.
Not a bad run for $20!
At an air b n b and couldn’t figure out this coffee maker for the life of me 😩😩😩 thanks for the video !
Glad to help!
Was on the fence since i didnt really want to fork put 60$ on a Keurig, thanks for the review im picking this one up.
Mine is still running great!
I'm trying to figure out what each of the buttons do differently?
I think that they set the pressure to different levels. One for k cups and one for grounds with the filter.
I was surprised to see you drinking my favorite coffee! I love the french roast and I don't care for coffee snobbery.. lol thanks for the review of this coffee maker too, good to know!
Thanks for watching!
I got mine today, enjoying my first cafe cup rn!
I got mine yesterday. An easy way to measure the water to put in it. Is the first put water in your mug. Then use the mug to fill the water tank. So that you know for sure. How much water you need.
True! Good suggestion!
Thank you so much for this review...just bought this on Good Friday 2024, Jesus is Risen.......
I generally try to keep my faith and beliefs to myself but there is only one way I can respond to your comment. Amen.
Bummer! Purchased this to take to our timeshare. Out of the gate, sprayed hot water and steam out the BACK of the maker...none in the cup, using an actual K-cup, that we've used at home on our regular Keurig maker. Not sure why...tried this 2x, and same results both times!🥺
Just won this at bingo night, Thanks for the review
I’m still using the same one that was in this video. It’s great! Thanks for watching.
I will add, yes it does take about a minute or two longer than the brand names, but once again for $20 no complaints. Also as he mentioned it gets almost to hot, but better to hot than Luke warm.
I just purchased it today before I saw this and used it to brew my nightly cup of tea and it was awesome
Awesome! I still use mine daily!
I had to laugh when you said that some of the reviews on this product people were saying it was hard to fill.
@@lisasadler6426 or that they didn’t know how much water to add. Yeah, the marks are a bit hard to read in the reservoir but you can always take your mug of water and pour that directly into the tank.

I came to see how to fill the water. How does the water get from the blue cup to your cup? There was no outlet, so it was confusing.
The rear is the water tank. That blue cup is just an insert that has a hole in it and it is used to show you your fill lines. It goes from the tank on the rear to the water heater/pump and then pushed through your k cup.
@@travisp11 Is the blue cup removable?
@@void________ yes
Ive had that coffee maker for at least 3 years and havent had any issues with it. 5 ⭐
Mine finally stopped working in November of 2023. I had been using Trader Joe’s k cups and they always seem to require a ton of pressure to brew regardless of the maker that I use. They probably have put the nail in the coffin for my brewer.
I can't imagine anyone thinking this machine is complicated. I use ours with K-cups, but also ground coffee to appease the coffee snob in me.
I agree but the low reviews on WM.com came from people that complained abou the inconveniece and complexity of the design. Crazy but true.

Coffee snobs of the world unite!
Yeah, I’ve only used the grind cup a few times but overall, it works pretty good!
@@travisp11 ty for the advice, I've only tried the great value k cups and it happened the very first use I'll try using your advice

Mine just started this
Thanks, first time using this machine lol
No problem 👍
I bought on. Will not pop water out. Water clearly gets really hot but doesn't pump out.
Sounds like it is defective. I would return it for a different one.
I got one of these and pretty happy. Only problem is that the water passes the grounds too fast. I am experimenting with paper filters. Tried a paper filter with a reusable k cup and water spurts out the sides. I guess pressure is too high.
Did you push the bottom button with your own ground coffee before you brewed?
I like the coffee maker. It’s perfect for my rv. Small and light. I don’t have the coffee filter basket. Where can I get one?
Contact Mainstays and see if they can send you one.

THANKS!
I wouldn’t run it without that filter. That filter prevents debris from plugging the water siphon and it also serves as a measure for your cup size.
@@tasteofnebraska You said that you wouldn't. Would water damage the unit if it is used without the filter? THANK YOU; I WON'T BOTHER ANYMORE...

I was needing to see a specific focus on the measure of water. As soon as I start pouring the water in, it starts to flow out into the reservoir...impossible to measure using the blue measure, for me anyway.
Can you use a measuring cup and then maybe make a water line with a sharpie in the reservoir?

To complicated? Sheesh! :::rolling eyes:::; Walmart reviews also had a complaint the reusable kcup doesn't work.
Chris J if you use an espresso grind you will have basket issues, otherwise with drip grind, reusable filter will be fine
Society is doomed if people think this is too complicated to use 🙄🙄🙄
Leah you would be surprised!
the flavor is not the same brewing a cup with the reusable filter as a reusable (or pod) k cup. the reusable filter brews the same way as pot coffee makers. the k cup method shoots the hot water through the k cup -as i'm sure happens when a pod is used in this machine. i bought the machine to use with my reusable k cups (like any other k cup machine i have ever had). it works but having seemly built it to NOT work with reusable kcups was weird. the taste is much different and wouldnt have cost them anymore to make it where reusable cups would fit.
all of that said, since my old k cup machine broke and is no longer an option, and i will not spend more than this on another unit, the reusable k cups i had would be useless. for the mainstays unit, it is the lid of the reusable k cup that gets in the way of the latch. i just took the lid off and used a piece of foil over the top of it. worked fine and tasted much better than the ground option using the provided reusable filter.
How do I know how much Water to use? If I dont put in a cup or beans or anything, can it dispense just hot water?
n o Open the water reservoir lid and look down. There are markings by the ounce. I think it is labeled 6, 8, 10 ounces, etc. Pour the water in up to the number of ounces you want and you are set. Yup, you can run just hot water out of it for say tea or instant foods.
