She is beautiful and he is a handsome little man. This is such a beautiful and inspiring story. I'm 47 (will be 48 in a few months and still have hope.) Thank you, Tamron for sharing this!
Me too, I’ll be 46 in August. I’m hoping I can start sometime next year. I have to block out the negative thoughts induced by societal pressures. I may still adopt as well. I wish you the best on your journey.
@@Katlady001 The Creator Will Grant You Your Hearts 💕 Desire! Blessings 💞 Ase

My sisters mom was 48 when she had her…naturally. You got this 💪🏽
Yes me too. This gives me hope also for both of us. Stay encouraged Pretty Rivers 🙏💕
I can't get over how ageless and gorgeous Tamron and Richelle are. God bless them both and they're babies. 💖💖👩🏽👩🏽👶🏽👶🏽
Tamron you don't know how you're blessing the world with these testimonies. As a 35 year old single woman living in Africa, there are days I feel all the odds are against me but I just can't take less. I am also very grateful for my family especially the men in my family. To have indigenous Africa male figures who rather encourage and pray for you instead of questioning you. I know God will make it happen in his right time and they will be alive to celebrate.
Thanks Tamron, thanks Rachelle 😊 🙏
I’m in my 30s and Richelle looks my age! She is stunning! So happy for her!😍😍😍
Soooo anyone going to mention that she 50. What magic water/juice she drinking 😂. She looks good 🔥
Vodka:-) HA! And thank you.
Right! I need to know 🤣🤣🤣
@@RichelleCarey Yes you are an inspiration to so many including me. Congratulations and blessings to you 🙏🏽❤️
I'm a 53 aunt/mom to 2 nephews and 2 nieces because I helped raise them with my mom. Today they are: 32, 30, 24, and 15! I don't ever regret not having children of my own cause I know the love in our hone got bigger! It was all in God's plan for our family for many reasons!
I'm 43 and in the mist of moving forward with being a mom. Adoption is definitely on the table. Blessings to her on her journey.
Wishing you all the best and a wonderful motherhood journey! It will happen for you! Blessings!
You are amazing! We are all cheering you on! WOOT WOOT!
I'm 42 almost 43 and I want to be mother have always wanted to time just flew by. I went into perimenopause at 37 so having my own biological child wasn't a option anymore it was devastating and so hurtful. I think adoption is wonderful God chooses different paths for us to become parents we might not like or understand it at first but just have to trust the process.
Waited too long to be honest
Do it if you’re called to.
This journalist is absolutely beautiful. She is out of most mens league. Being a single successful beautiful woman is the epitome of living life. Sometimes a man just doesn’t measure up or fit into the peace you’ve to built for yourself. Women should be proud of their lives regardless of marital status. Many women are married but can’t really claim to have husbands or be wives. Many men are married but not truly fulfilling the role of husband. Just saying. For the few who are married to their equal in terms of values, education level, class and physical attractiveness… these are marriage goals. It is better to be single than settle for anything less.
👏👏👏
“Many men are married but not truly fulfilling the role of husband” - Wow, you hit it on the nail with that statement! That could apply for both men and women which is why half of marriages are ending up in divorce! I agree 100% about not settling for less and ending up with someone who you aren’t equally yoked with!
💯🎯
Love 💕 this Curis n Cupcakes
Unfortunately a child needs a father.
No matter how good a mother is there is a role of a father. Especially for a boy
Unfortunately sometimes even when men are around they aren’t the fathers they’re supposed to be.
I wish her the best.
50! Where! Her baby boy is ADORABLE!!😍
I love this story. A win for the 50-plus woman.
she so phyne. and motherhood suits her well
My daughter is 30 Married 6yrs tried IVF 1st time failed we praying for the 2 time successful congratulations to you for adopting your beautiful baby boy 💙ps you look 30🥰
I understand whole heartedly…older parents make awesome old soul babies 🤗🤗🤗🤗
😁 "old soul babies"
Wow that is why I am an old sould. My dad had us in his mid 50s
This actually really made me feel good.
She is gorgeous and the sweet baby is precious. Happy for her.
Two beautiful, intelligent, and successful women who started families later in life! ❤️❤️❤️ they look amazing ❤️❤️❤️
Successful at being a baby-momma?
The work and social pressure as a Black Woman are INSANE. Just imagine she defeated all odds and won. Congratulations Queen..
Thank you brother/king for this comment
Thanks for sharing.
No they aren't, they're doing it all to themselves
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you
This helps me so much!! I am 53 and want to adopt but wasn’t sure if I would be chosen by a birth mom. You have given me such hope. Thank you 🙏🏾
Don't of you're a single parent you're doing more harm to a child
I remember Richelle on CNN. I am glad to see her and being happy as a mom. A beautiful lady indeed!
She’s stunning! Good for her ❤️❤️❤️
Inspiring story! I'm in the same boat she was in at 43. I'm considering all of my options for being a mom.
Tiff, you finna be ok. x
@@PHlophe Thank you. 😇
Find yourself a man...
Motherhood is the greatest blessing ever, hands down! God Bless her for being brave enough to give it all up for what she wanted.
FAMILY is the greatest blessing.
This is an important story. Bless her and her family! And Tamron for highlighting it!
He's beautiful. He looks like a little doll❤
Awww...she's beautiful and this kid is soooo cute! I'm 44 so this story gives me hope. Thank you Tamron for bringing this story. I can just imagine little Moses and Avery playing together.
Why the fuck do other people through the word selfish at those who don't want to have kids? I always looked at it the opposite way: people having kids who don't really want them or aren't in the best situation to have them; which only causes more issues that bleeds into society.
I think having children makes you less selfish. That is the correlation. Clearly the drive to have kids is strong enough to lead this woman to make a huge change in her life, it was just too late to do it when she still had lots of good years left, and was able to do it with a man so that the child had box sexes in its life while growing up.
Congratulations. It takes courage and grace.
His momma loves him very much so happy for her.
She looks like she could be Barack Obama's sister and Halle Berry's sister at the same time
She looks like the Actress/Singer Renee Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton)❤️ Both Beautiful!
I see Megan Good too
Yes she does
@@riseupbloom9836 I completely agree she does
Beautiful. Congratulations on your dreams coming true.
She has a big beautiful heart. Congratulations on her happiness and for living her life on her own terms
Her happiness is more important than the welfare of the child???
Life of chasing money is tiring and that money goes back straight to the pocket of the government. Define your life purpose
Such truth few are willing to acknowledge 🙏
He’s a beautiful baby boy.
Thank you for this. There’s this negative stigma of single women who have children without being married. There are women who struggle to raise children without a spouse but that’s NOT everyone’s story. And just because someone’s married doesn’t mean things are easier for them. I hope we get better as a society and stop making assumptions about peoples situations
This!
There are no assumptions. She was clearly not ready for a kid until it was too late. Being a single mothers is negative. No ifs ands or buts about it. The only stigma is that she waited until she couldn't conceive a child, to finally do what she needed to do in the first place, just to even have an adopted child. That's the stigma.
"Family is what you make it when you make it." Love it and to look so beautiful and youthful while you're doing it. Such an inspiration :)
50?where? OH SO BEAUTIFUL woman❤❤❤
I’m inspired and hopeful. 44 and beginning IVF 🌱
Hope it goes well 🙏🏾🙏🏾
She is absolutely gorgeous and, I know the blessings of God in her family life have only just begun!! More blessings to come!!xxx
Richelle and, Tamron are epitomes of profound beauty!!
Very inspirational. Family is there. All of us have decisions to make. There is nothing wrong with being single. It's called handling your business.
God bless you 🙏
Wow she was so brave!!! You go gurl!!! So happy for you!!! Blessings to you and your family!!!
She's so gorgeous ❤️❤️
She is very beautiful and blessed.

She looks AMAZING at 50, Whaoooo....
So beautiful!! I pray she writes a book!!!! 🙏🏾💕
Maaaaybe ;-)
Awwww, THIS is so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes.
It truly infused more hope and possibility in me. Glory be to God!!
I’m a 47 year old woman who’s going through a transformation and yes, I’m a bit scared. I’ve got no children but it a desire of mine; to adopt two precious bambinos, if it’s God’s will.
Seeing this clip stirred up possibilities in me and reconfirmed what I already know; that EVERYTHING happens in His timing.
I’m so thrilled for this lovely Sis and Tam!!! And I can’t wait for my turn.🙏💕🥰
Aaawww, I fondly recall Richelle's days as a news anchor in STL, then moving onto HLN. She's golden... so glad she pursued true Happiness!
Thank you so much. I really enjoyed my time in STL.
How Beautiful! Continued Blessings!!!!💙
Just like Tamron, Richelle has ignored the chronological clock. Looks 30. Published birth year was 1976 until now...and surprise, she's 50! Just a number!
She looks good, but def not 30. She looks like 40 ish. I’m 22 & she looks like my mom.
Beautiful story ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
On another note, Tamron your fashion is out of this world ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I am so happy for her and baby Avery! You are blessed to have a supportive family and congratulations.
Congratulations God bless you 🙏🏾
So inspiring!! Congratulations!
GOD PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN FOR ME TOO!
He will. I believe he'll do even better! We got a good God!
Raising a child alone (without a husband) would honestly make me feel more depressed. However, everyone has to choose their path. If I never marry, I will not be a mom and I'm okay with that.
TBH...one reason I kept putting is off is I didn't want to do it alone. BUT....now that I am a single mom....I have no regrets. I'm very happy and am fortunate to have a wonderful village of family and friends.
@@RichelleCarey Having the village is important! I also imagine you saved a lot of your salary, too, so you can be financially independent.
@@RichelleCarey thank you for your response, Richelle! It is the encouragement I needed. I will be 39 in July, put off my career because men already find me too intimidating but seeing your interview and accomplishment is really fteeing. God bless you your child and your family❤
@Danièle N men don't find it intimidating men don't care how much a women makes. To be a business women you acquire masculine traits and keep those traits with you, if women don't like men acting like women why would a man like a women acting like a man? Also most women want a 1% man and your chances are 1%.
You’re absolutely beautiful! God has a husband for you. Pray for him to bring and him together. But, you have to be open to whom God sends, and accept him. The man has to be god fearing, hardworking, ect. Get rid of your list of income, height, complexion, education level. Trust God, he won’t fail you. I did this and I got engaged in 16 months and planning my wedding. Btw, he was everything I wanted, handsome, plus so much more. God didn’t disappoint. Praying for you!!
You know those grandparents love that baby!
Beautiful lady with beautiful heart 😍
Sometimes you gotta grab Happiness and run with it; forget about what anybody else have to say or Understand your steps. I salute you honey and hand you your Flowers Indeed. Much LOVE~
Congratulations 🎊🎉🎈 Such a blessing, beautiful 💕🥰
I wish Richelle nothing but the best. She will make a great mom. Tamron, I nominate you to host a panel on Single Mothers In the Media at the next NABJ confab.
Yes! God bless! Have your children ❤❤❤
So happy for her
Congratulations on taking bold brave steps and being honest with yourself to do what was necessary to become a mother to Avery! More Blessings Await!❤️
Thank you, Richelle for sharing your story.
Live life with hope and dreams do come true. Hope to be a mum.. someday.
Congratulations Richelle.
You r such a beautiful inside and out am so glad you are a mother God bless you family
Congratulations 💕
She's beautiful! And 50??? I understand because I'm 51 and ppl think I'm 30. But she puts me in the mind of Halle Berry but reminds me of Sheree Whitfield also. i can't imagine carrying that need a want around for all those years even with an eventful career. I'm so glad she made that decision. And to still have both loving parents as a support is wonderful! Congratulations to her and her son. Adoption is a beautiful, selfless thing when you have pure, nurturing intentions!
Perfect perfect! Love love! This is what I wish I had known. This is the path I should have chosen. If only I could turn the hands of time!
And Tam shirt is everything!
This was great! Thank you for sharing your story Richelle and thank you Tamron!
I’m 39 and felt this pressure-- I’m pregnant 🎉
Thanks for sharing your amazing experience with the world Richelle👏🏽I think many women of all ethnicities that are accomplished, not married and have no children can absolutely relate to this situation. Although she chose to retire and go back home to focus on raising her son, she is obviously an incredibly intelligent, ambitious person that can start another job or career at any time, when and if she chooses. She’s living with her family, not off her family. I’m 100% sure she has supported them throughout her career and she still supports them now in various ways. This is so inspirational…..thanks for facilitating this discussion Tamron!👍🏽🙋🏽♀🥰👶🏽🤱🏽
Love this!! Kudos to you Richelle
Beautiful story!
Beautiful story and person.
Oh my goodness is she ever gorgeous, she's looks like she's 20.

Beautiful story 🙏🏽❤️

Another great interview! Congratulations to Rochelle, and prince Avery!
Babes, its Richelle
Blessings to her family. Thanks for encouraging others 🤍
Can you a show on adoption and Black women? We need to see this more . Single black women who are choosing to adopt. I'd love to know how they start the process, what is adoption like doing it single? There used to be stigmas about this from agencies .What income level must you have?
50 where? She looks 35!
Often people exaggerate. But for real , she looks nowhere near 50!
So beautiful.
I admire her!!!
Love this ❤
I wondered why I haven't seen her on Aljezeera! God bless you 🇬🇧
Wow!! I've been struggling with this at the same point n my life sans $$$ she has but I have a little hope after seeing this
I was terrified of having kids I couldn’t afford. By the time I felt financially stable enough it was too late. I’m 50 and I really want to be a mom - I couldn’t afford IVF . This is inspiring.
It is never too late Candice. I hope God gives you clarity and opens the perfect doors for your motherhood!❤

@@candicemirisha912 you are welcome
You mean, a "baby momma", correct?
I love her bad!!🌹😘
Beautiful
Why is she single? She is pretty and smart. God Bless her and her child.
It can be hard to find someone (who is single) that you are equally yoked to! Especially once you get over a certain age!
She knows her worth and doesnt want to just settle. Maybe😂😂
And we wonder why women are amazing! We sacrifice for the greater good and always have to make the hardest decisions. AMAZING WOMAN!
I love you Richelle
Unfortunately, she’s so correct about “the pressure.”
Tamron, I recently started watching your shows on UA-cam and thoroughly enjoy everyone of them. Today was a very inspiring story. You are a beautiful lady! Would live to see you with natural hair one of these days !😊😊
Beautiful realm blessings of grace, Amen, May the Lord blessings continue in both of your lives always, you both are so blessed and loved by God with favor. Amen 🙏
Story is beautiful but I am honestly distracted by the fact that this woman is 50 and black don’t crack!!!
