This is poorly explained. The reason the omelette sandwich was considered too unhealthy and the satisfries were considered healthy was because its usually working professionals who get fast food breakfast, and this group usually doesn't buy fries. On the contrary, the people who buy fries are usually not the same type of people who go buy fast food breakfast
There's a difference between eating healthy and not wanting to be overly unhealthy. If people are going to a fast food restaruant then they are going to be fine with things like burgers and fries but that doesn't mean they have no standards at all.

It was delicious!!!! It was intended for several people to eat and share. I had a few when “The Whopper Bar” was open in Manhattan. You could technically make your own today. Just get a handful of plain burgers from BK, a small pack of pepperoni, a sesame seed bun, marinara sauce, and a few slices of good quality mozzarella cheese. It won’t be exactly the same, might even be better. Pro tip.... Hawaiian Sweet Rolls makes a huge round bun that would work perfectly with this.

The extra-long burger was my favorite burger from burger king. I can eat doubles, but I also feel like sometimes the meat can overwhelm other flavors in the burger, so the extra-long gave me the same amount of patties while still keeping the flavor balance. Was super sad when they were discontinued

Exactly. The only thing that disappointed me from the outset was their Big King, trying to imitate the well-known Big Mac. Even so, they've used secret sauce before with their Stacker, which I also loved. Gotta give 'em credit for trying!
To me they didn't taste any different, and refused to pay an extra $.30 (that was it costed extra local to me) for the fries. If they tasted different and better, I would have paid extra. It was also cooked in the same oil too (it was in vegetable shortening then).
Honestly they could have gone somewhere with them if they just cooked them longer and didn't charge extra. I'm serious about my fries being salty but I remember still liking them just as much as the regular ones. Being healthier was a bonus.

Well, they had burger sliders that did well in the 90s. I personally love the "Angry Whopper" of 2010s. Their "Flame Broiled" process is a fine point, not unique but still.
I’ve never tried them but when I worked at Burger King for a few months I only made like 4 or 5 and that’s all. They weren’t really ordered very much. They told us to not even put them in the grill until someone ordered them. Some days I worked from when they started serving lunch till 6 or 7 and never once would be ordered most of the days I worked those hours.

I work at BK, they actually did bring it back for a short time back in 2019. Not sure if there were any changes made to it, but I personally found it to be gross looking, tasting, and smelling. Reminded me of school lunch lol

I don't know that it actually matters if they were good. People don't go to Burger King for health food. Extra product is extra overhead, freezer space, etc. It likely wasn't worth distributing the product all over the country if it didn't increase sales.

The KFC in my hometown is awful. We've started going to Chester's (idk if that's a popular chain). We went to KFC at 6pm one day, which is around dinner time for most people, right? So you'd think they'd be prepping some food beforehand so that people can order whatever and not have to wait for it to be made. No. We wanted one of the buckets, half dark meat, half white meat. They had no white meat prepared and it would have been a 30 minute wait. At 6pm on a weekday!! Why in the world would you not have that stuff prepared before the dinner rush! We just left and went elsewhere. They've done the same thing multiple times.

It literally went from the last thing I'd ever eat to the only thing I ordered at BK while the chili was still available.
I've been to popup burger joints that sold black burgers which I think we're a neat idea, can't ever remembering it changing the color of anything.

The extra-long burger was my favorite burger from burger king. I can eat doubles, but I also feel like sometimes the meat can overwhelm other flavors in the burger, so the extra-long gave me the same amount of patties while still keeping the flavor balance. Was super sad when they were discontinued

On paper, the crinkle fries are no big deal. Who doesn't like thicker, wavy fries? I refuse to believe it's just bad marketing as a "healthy alternative".

2) cheesy 4 for 1 $ potatoes things.
3)chicken frys with the dipping box and always getting pulled then reintroduced
4) chicken nuggets always getting pulled and revamped and amount of nuggets and pricing changed forever. That were always sitting under a heatlamp with 20 other orders nobody had bought yet and always served soggy and cold.
The cheesy tots are a seasonal thing and they are my favorite

One reason the wooperito failed is cause the people making them didn't do a constantly good job making them.
It makes sense. Different way to make 'em compared to a sandwich, and quality would suffer in lunch and dinner rush due to a more involved process.
I think Burger King deserves some credit. They really try to continuously come up with new items, no matter how crazy they seem (e.g. Mac n Cheetos)

Exactly. The only thing that disappointed me from the outset was their Big King, trying to imitate the well-known Big Mac. Even so, they've used secret sauce before with their Stacker, which I also loved. Gotta give 'em credit for trying!

To me they didn't taste any different, and refused to pay an extra $.30 (that was it costed extra local to me) for the fries. If they tasted different and better, I would have paid extra. It was also cooked in the same oil too (it was in vegetable shortening then).
They were always soggy. The one that I always went to would put them down for an extra 30 or 45 seconds for me and they were really crispy and perfect
Honestly they could have gone somewhere with them if they just cooked them longer and didn't charge extra. I'm serious about my fries being salty but I remember still liking them just as much as the regular ones. Being healthier was a bonus.

Well, they had burger sliders that did well in the 90s. I personally love the "Angry Whopper" of 2010s. Their "Flame Broiled" process is a fine point, not unique but still.

The shaker fries are actually a recurring item at McDonald's here in Sweden, served with the El Maco burger. It's quite popular, and works well.
"El maco season" in sweden is pretty much the only time when I eat at Donalds, because of the shake fries. They are the best.

I’ve never tried them but when I worked at Burger King for a few months I only made like 4 or 5 and that’s all. They weren’t really ordered very much. They told us to not even put them in the grill until someone ordered them. Some days I worked from when they started serving lunch till 6 or 7 and never once would be ordered most of the days I worked those hours.

I confess to enjoying the enormous omelette sandwich - but I was an unpaid intern at the time and it was basically breakfast and lunch for like $6.

I liked the satisfries. They were more of a cafeteria style fry. Unfortunately the name was stupid and it was an upcharge on your order, but I think the actual product was good.
I don't know that it actually matters if they were good. People don't go to Burger King for health food. Extra product is extra overhead, freezer space, etc. It likely wasn't worth distributing the product all over the country if it didn't increase sales.

Hah I worked at BK when I was in High School and I remember the Burger Bundles and the Dinner Baskets. What a pain in the ass the Dinner Baskets were.
I don't think all these ideas were bad but the quality and the executions were always terrible at Burger King. Too soggy, too burnt, too salty, too tough too greasy, too dry. Last time I tried their small pork rib product, it was the most un eatable food ever. Since then I never went back to Burger King.
This is a testament to how good the Whopper is. Any of these blunders would have shuttered other smaller franchises.

Yet the Impossible is cooked in the same broiler as a regular patty. And if you don't want it cook there, they cook it in the microwave and it looks/smells gross

The KFC in my hometown is awful. We've started going to Chester's (idk if that's a popular chain). We went to KFC at 6pm one day, which is around dinner time for most people, right? So you'd think they'd be prepping some food beforehand so that people can order whatever and not have to wait for it to be made. No. We wanted one of the buckets, half dark meat, half white meat. They had no white meat prepared and it would have been a 30 minute wait. At 6pm on a weekday!! Why in the world would you not have that stuff prepared before the dinner rush! We just left and went elsewhere. They've done the same thing multiple times.
