- I'm just about done with testing the Minelab X-Terra Elite metal detector but so far it has proven itself to be a very nice machine. Works well on land and today I was able to prove that it works well in the water too. Works well with the Coiltek 10x5 coil too.

How are the coil ears on the new Xterra Elite holding up? I watched your prior video comparing and discussing the 700/900 to the prior 600/800 coil ears that were notorios for breaking without some aftermarket reinforcements? Are the new Elite coil ears the same or beefier, or like the old that needed additional reinforecment ? Thanks for any insight on this.

You have more features with the Legend. Its not a fair comparison. I would compare Elite to more of Nokta's Double Score.
