    When you buy new load wheels, do they come with new roll pins and everything as a kit?

    • @genericparts
      @genericparts  3 місяці тому

      You can buy the
      - load wheels only, or the
      - load wheel kit that comes with all the pins and washer and such, or the
      - complete wheel kit which comes with load AND steer wheels and all the hardwarre needed (like pins, washers, axles and such)

    Would pallet jacks last longer if maintenanced every 6 months? I work at a grocery store and jacks to last long ! They are hard to pull or take long going up and down ..? What do you suggest??

    • @genericparts
      @genericparts  6 років тому +1

      A 6-month schedule sounds too rigid. It depends on your wear, roller material, floor, etc. Make sure you have the correct wheels for your application, and keep an eye on the wear. Here is a useful sheet with tips and instructions genericparts.com/assets/GPS_measure-wheels.pdf

    I am looking to replace the load wheels on the pallet jack we have at work. How do I know what size wheels to purchase if I don't have a make or model on my pallet jack?

      Just take a picture of the hydraulic unit (side view) and text it to us at 503.523.8990. We'll help you identify your jack, and you go from there.

    Is this the same process to replace the load wheels for a Crown WP 3000 EPJ?

    • @genericparts
      @genericparts  4 місяці тому +1

      The process is similar, with electric jacks you can not turn them over so the unit must be jacked up and blocked.

    Do you have any recommendations for removing embedded nails from wheels that are in otherwise good shape? Our warehouse has several jacks that I've been working on and I've had some success with a mallet and a small prybar, but it's not easy

    • @genericparts
      @genericparts  6 років тому

      Hi Shay! Nails in the wheels are tricky. There is no good way to remove them. If you do, the area where the nail was will start to chip. Might be better off to leave the nails in and plan on replacing the wheel soon.
      To insure long wheel life, warehouse floors need to be clean. On a side note, our 70D wheels are harder than regular jack wheels and less prone to pick up nails. But again, regular sweeping, if possible, is best maintenance practice in this case.

    Would some similarly sized screwdriver work instead of the pin punch?

    • @genericparts
      @genericparts  3 роки тому +1

      No a screw driver will not work. The proper size pin punch is necessary to remove the spring pin as they are a very tight fit. Most common size needed for manual pallet jacks is 3/16” punch

    • @S0ulinth3machin3
      @S0ulinth3machin3 8 місяців тому

      you'll mess up the screwdriver

    I have all 4 roll pins our but the axles wont come out. It is a PTH50. is there a different axle on these?

    • @genericparts
      @genericparts  5 років тому

      Hi Dean!
      Axles are likely frozen inside the wheel due to corrosion. See
      video how to remove rusty axles.
      ua-cam.com/video/5Mt0h7ht6T8/v-deo.html
      The wheel will need to be cut out.

    do u guys knoe whats size for the pin punch to removed tires how many inches ?

    • @genericparts
      @genericparts  6 років тому

      A pin punch 3/16 of an inch (or 5mm) will work to take out the roll pin.

    Are the load wheels on a later PTH model the same as on a PTH50?

    • @genericparts
      @genericparts  6 років тому

      No, they are not. The PTH50 wheels are slightly smaller. The Uline H-1043 does not use a 3/16 pin punch- too big

    • @genericparts
      @genericparts  4 роки тому

      3/16” Punch is the most widely used. You are correct for model H-1043 please use a 1/8” or 4mm pin punch

    If I work at a grocery store and the manager of the store has the money to fix the pallet jacks but instead pockets the money as bonus for him, where can I call to complain?

    • @genericparts
      @genericparts  5 років тому

      sorry, this goes beyond technical questions. Try the store owner?

    • @genericparts
      @genericparts  5 років тому

      That's tricky, not really the kind of service we do. Maybe let whoever is the boss - corporate office? - know what's going on. If necessary anonymously.

    • @chromeforme

      File an Informal complaint with OSHA. Try to give as many details as possible. ( pallet number, location, etc ) Do this online. Informal complaint will result in a letter to the owner. A formal complaint will result in a visit.

      Yes, depending on the application of the jack, it can be tricky. Let us know if you run into major problems. Our kits come with the hardware for free - in case pins get lost or axles dinked.
