I've made this smoothie about 3 times now, but with added protein. This is absolutely amazing, thank you for the recipe! My family loves it, and it helps my bedridden mother feel much more energetic!
The color is stunning, and it looks so easy that even a lazy cook like myself won't have an excuse not to make it. Although, to be honest, Katie's videos are so entertaining, I'd watch them just for laughs even if I wasn't going to actually make the recipes.
Katie, you're amazing with your smoothie recipe for breakfast. I really love it. Here at home I prepare our smoothy including chia seeds and also linseed. Congrats for the beautiful and useful video. And Jamie I want more videos with Katie Pix!!!
+ruskichick88 How did it go?!?! Thank you so so much for watching! Mum always says I'm like a cartoon. I'm going to look like a basset hound by the time I'm 40!
I do this one every single day: 1 frozen banana, 10 frozen strawberries, 5 slices of frozen cucumber and a handful of frozen pumpkin. Water halfway trough and that's it! A bit of stevia sometimes
+Katie Pix well done you've reminded me I need to do this! A lot of the time I like keeping it simple with some banana, frozen blueberries and a dash of cinnamon.
+neondynamite I love chia seed! I often pop a teaspoon into my smoothies. Helps to thicken it too, if you have made it slightly too loose. :D Good thinking, batman!
+Katie Pix 1-2 hands of spinach, an banana or avocado und then 2 other fruits, i like to take apples and pears, but everthing is great. At the end you just need to fill up with 100-200 ml of water. Lovely and for the good health are chiaseets and stuff. And i tried your recipe - awesome! :)
Hi Katie, I just tried this smoothie today. It's really good and also filling. Thanks for sharing your recipe. I never thought to blend raw oats in smoothies. Con: oat makes it grainy which I would prefer to avoid especially since I share with my little kids. Any suggestion to avoid the grains? Thanks again.
+FaridaY30 Thank YOU for watching! You could soak the oats the milk over night. This way you'll get all the delicious benefits of the raw oats but a much smoother consistency! I am so glad you enjoyed it. Let me know if that's any better! :D
Katie Pix I do miss the lovely English strawberries compared to the massive N. American tasteless - like styrofoam - ones. I don't think I would need to add honey with their sweetness. (sigh)
Black berries, raspberries and I have a tricky relationship. I love them, but they're pretty seedy. Literally, I can't deal with the seeds in my smoothies, and a strainer barely helps. But they're my favorite ;-;
+assassintwinat8 Oh nooooo! :( You can always juice them up first and sieve them through a muslin cloth. You could do this in batch and create a pip free puree to add into your smoothie for a fruity burst! That or just choose a fruit you do like! Hehe! :D
I need to get healthy in the New Year, I've gained weight recently but don't want to become too fat in the belly regions. Smoking probably doesn't help much either.
+RickCleek Christmas season'll do that to the best of 'em! But don't go putting yourself on a fad diet. Just learn a little more about the food you eat and you'll soon be making better choices! :D Happy New Year!

is there a calorie count on this recipe, approximately?
Hmmm, I can work one out for you! Bear with me!

Katie - do you not cook the oats first ?
They're actually really good raw. It sounds crazy but just a small handful adds a nice sweetness and heartiness to a smoothie :)
+Reveena's Kitchen Spot on! I love raw oats. They add a lovely milkiness to the smoothie too, once blitzed!
