I recently started putting the hard all black arch supports insert with a hole at the heel in my shoes for plantar fasciitis. & I have no more pain. They range from sale of $7.99 -$16.99 for one set on Amazon. But, I found some similar ones on Temu for $2. They instantly turn any shoes into feeling like some good orthopedic shoes! I add them to my enclosed flat shoes, my sneakers and boots!
The first issue you addressed is the problem I face. I’ve tried jelly inserts but I still have that gap. I think maybe I need to buy a size smaller. My foot is rather narrow. Could buying a shoe size smaller work for me when I purchase sandals?

Hey! You’ll then likely need a custom orthotic prescribed by a podiatrist. Having said that I don’t recommend putting custom orthotics in high heels or any narrow /shallow shoes - they are rigid and won’t fit and are not really intended for those type shoes and you will risk hurting your ankles/feet. My best advice will be to see a podiatrist and they can assess your feet and give you the best options. I like wearing high heels and “pretty” shoes too but your foot health is so much more important. They need to carry you for life! So if you need to give up those kinds of shoes and wear more supportive ones I say ditch the heels- they not worth risking hurting your feet 💜

Use liquid shoe stretch in the part is she shoes around your toes. Hold the shoe episode down. So it goes on the areas your toes touch. Walk around flex your toes for 15 minutes and it will loosen & shape the fabric of the shoes to fit your feet better. It comes in a red & white bottle.
