    Hi Graham,considering how many MGB owners & cars plus clubs I was disappointed at how many MGB’s there actually was at the show,plus I had a list of parts I wanted to get but found nobody selling new parts where were Moss & the MGOC parts nobody selling SU carb service parts and as for second hand MG parts they we’re almost non existent! Now if you had a Ford there were loads of second hand parts and classic Fords had there own hall for goodness sake’s. Many thanks for the video and I did love the show,some great cars. Regards Richard. (New 1967 MGB owner in need of loads of work of course)

      Thanks for your comment. Fair point - the resto show in March is a better bet for parts I reckon but I do think a lot of people just order on the Internet. I guess there's more old Fords than MGBs around - I didn't really spend much time in the Ford hall :-)

      I grew up with my mother owning a harvest gold MGB GT bought new in August 1972. It was her pride and joy and wore the plate WWG5 which has been in the family since the 1960’s. I still have the original invoice from Moir & Baxter of Edinburgh. It’s great to see a younger generation taking forward ownership of these great cars.

      Thanks for your comment! If you'd like the car featured in our Viewers cars series, send over some pictures (including the original invoice!) and some words to hello@classic,gb.com and I'll do my best to include it!

      @@ClassicMGB sadly the car is no more, a subsequent owner painted it black. It was re registered GSM 655L, it was last on the road in the 90,s from my research. We still retain the numberplate though now on an Audi.

      @@iainmacleod4007 Ah sorry - I misread your comment - its the plate that's been in the family, not the car 🙂

    Many thanks for posting this interesting walk around the show, I’ve just found your excellent channel (liked and subscribed). As your obviously an MG enthusiast, I’d be grateful if I could “pick your brains”. I’ve restored a Tahiti blue 1976 bgt. Although it has black bumpers, it has the old style black crinkle metal dash, black fabric seats and gold MG badges back and front, basically, the same specs as the jubilee model but without the green and gold colour scheme. Is this a rare model ? I’ve owned it since it was 4 years old so it has always been Tahiti blue. Look forward to watching more MG material, best regards, Tony.

      @@ClassicMGB 😂 no problem, I've been watching your channel since I saw you filming at MG100 back in May at Gaydon with the MGOC. Brilliant stuff. I'm a fellow MGB addict with the car, books and die-cast models!

    My dad had his own mechanic garage, and he purchased a 1971 MGB GT and he was over the moon, as it was the car he always wanted, and to top it all the reg was TCT something, something,something J, and these were his initials, I hope it’s still about,unfortunately my dad isn’t .

      Thanks for your comment. Not sure where you're based. but if you're in the UK and can remember the whole number, you can check whether its still registered - www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-tax

    Fabulous video and report! I'm curious, prices for MGs seem so much higher in the UK than over here in North America. What is the reason for the large price difference? Are there far fewer MGs in the UK? Thank you in advance! :)

    • @ClassicMGB
      @ClassicMGB  11 місяців тому

      Thanks for your comment Dale - I'm not sure the prices are necessarily higher - generally the ones at the show are the best ones so command higher prices, but you can get much cheaper ones in the UK. That said, I'm guessing the fact that more MGBs went to the US combined with the better survival rate probably means there are proportionally more survivors ...
