I think nios i10 sportz AMT is having best AMT sometimes feels like my torque converter car, but sometimes moving from 1 to 2 gives headnods, had question does it always shift in D mode after 2k rpm from gears 1 to 3 ?
I just drove 3000 kms from shillong to bangalore in the grand i10 sportz amt petrol. No issues whatsoever. Really smooth. I had earlier owned the nios sportz manual...did drive the same route in manual transmission as well. No issues. This is my 3rd hyundai vehicle. Vouch on a hyundai.

I find that the gear is a lot jerkier in low speed crawls and clunkier sometimes. And sometimes buttery smooth on crawl. I reckon if I left the car running for atleast a minute or two, it seems to be smoother.
Reverse gear lagate time khat ke sound kyun aati hai meri AMT SPORTS MAI abhi 19 days pahle purchase ki hai do u also have the same problem in ur car. Pl reply.

Very steep incline will tend the car to roll back a little but the crawl function kind of controls the car till you accelerate. Just like the time you take to remove your foot from the clutch pedal and accelerate with the other foot. I have been driving only manual vehicles from the time I started driving 20 years back. No issues whatsoever I found with the AMT even on hilly roads like Shillong or city roads. Took me about a week to get adapted of not using my left foot. The reflex action took time to subside after driving a manual all these years.

@Nagaraja Sundaresh it depends on the degree of the incline. Soft incline if you release the brake, the vehicle crawl function will take over. In steep incline, yes the vehicle will slowly roll back but by that time your foot reflex action would have hit the accelerator. I have been driving a manual for around 20 years, so the foot reflex action is good. I really cannot comment on a new driver and starting to drive straight away on an AMT. Please keep in mind, Nios does not have Hill Hold Asssit system like other fully automatic vehicles. Just a crawl function is available.
back gear lagate waqt kuch awaz aati hai kya....mere friend ne bataya ki uski i10 nios me aisi awaz aati hai....aur service centre walo ne kaha ki ye common hai....
Rpm needle comes down very fast when gear changes. This means gear shifting is not that laggy ....Punch AMT me toh ye needle bahut slowly move karti hai .....Kis kis ne ye observe kiya ....Apne experiences share karo !
On highway with a/c on I got around 19.2 -19.5 driving at around 80-85 kmpl.... Without a/c I got around 22.9-23.2 kmpl....just drove 3000 kms last week....please keep in mind I have a new car....it's just run 3700 on the odometer....maybe with time I should be getting a slightly better mileage ....

For every car, start engine and wait for 30-40 secs befor move.
