I,ve been wanting to learn the solo to this song for awhile now,but wasnt sure if i was playing it right. After watching your video,I now know i wasnt playing it right. It makes more sense to me now.Love the patience you have to teach.Plus man you can play really good.Thank you
When I was in high school in the 80's, some metalhead friends of mine were talking about how great people like Yngwie Malmsteen and Vinnie Vincent were. I wasn't a metalhead and said that one of my favorite guitar players was John Fogarty. They practically laughed me out of the cafeteria. John Fogarty was a hack. He couldn't tap with all ten fingers. Thirty-five years later, people are still listening to John Fogarty and CCR. Those other guys? Not so much.
Thom, fine video and playing as ever, you know JOHN FOGERTY was mostly known for the voice and songwriting, but I think he is also a great player too, as you have pointed out very eloquently. I would like to recommend another underrated guitarist in ERNIE ISLEY, if you listen to the outro solo on SUMMER BREEZE PT.2 his technique and speed are truly amazing and would make for one of your fine analysis. Take care buddy.
@@GuitarPilgrim Wait, you never heard of the Isley Brothers Thom? I'm rather surprised. Look up the song "Who's That Lady" and watch him play the guitar part. Totally amazing.... 👍👍😉😉
Hi Thom! Could you take a look at Morcheeba's Rome Wasn't Built In A Day? I just joined my first school band, and it would be perfect in terms of instruments used on it, but it sound really hard and I haven't found any good material on it. It's also my favorite pop song and it has a really cool vibe

How’d you capture the tone, I just can’t get it right with my stuff
Which guitar use John Fogerty for rythm and solo?
New guitar?

Hey, Pil! What is string gauge on your LP?
0.10 on the les paul at the moment
I think your decor was inspired by Robert Plant.
Haha
No mention of the key
the CCR version Good Golly Miss Molly just misses the mark - its the only song Fogerty doesn't do well
Thats few beats slow
China made beter guitars...
