The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

John Fogerty is one of the greatest voices Rock & Roll has ever had ♥️👍
THE greatest IMHO.
@@havingagr8time No argument here 👍
I concur lol
Fogerty is so talented he actually has outdone songs that he covers. CCR has always done amazing covers that they make their own. It’s because of his incredible voice and tight musicianship.
Fogerty absolutely crushes it here. Not many frontmen can shred like that and sing at the same time.
John Fogerty is great but right here he’s miming…
@@cameronlewis1218 He is miming the guitar, but not the vocals. He's still miming the guitar which is basically playing it anyway!
@@fraga.matias its obviously playback, like so obvious its ridiculous to even point It out, its de f***ing track from the recording
@@cameronlewis1218 This is 100% live, obviously they're all plugged in. It's not as if it's a hard song to play.
@@fraga.matias No. He's miming the guitar, one less thing to worry about.
Omg that voice 😳😳😳😳💯
Nothing like Credence!! I'm 67 years old and still like their music!! I would even go to a concert!! So still like the best music time in history!! ❤
These guys were way ahead of their time. Kick ass Rock that still stands the test of time.
you mean by covering Little Richard from 1956 ?
Exactly
Impressive guitar work!!
Wow, CCR & John Fogerty was one the best rock & roll band of the 60's & 70"s.
No doubt.
Definition of Classic Rock. Amazing that Fogerty’s voice held up so well even into his 70s.
When I was a young girl our family followed an all girls band called, "The Fairer Sex." They were related to us on my dad's side of the family. They were one of the best girls bands in the area. As a family we would go to see them at the fire halls they were playing at in the area. They did some fantastic covers of just to name a few..."The Carpenters", "Three Dog Night," and of course "Creedence Clearwater Revival," one of my dads favorites! I can still remember walking into that smoked filled room, lights down low, the red or blue lights on. My dad loved to dance! He would hit that dance floor with all of us kids in tow. People would be hooting and howling and clapping, as my dad, the good old farm boy, knew how to have good time. Every time I drive past some of the fire halls, the memories come flooding back like it was yesterday.. I can't help but to smile or sometimes shed a tear, as I wish that those days were not just a memory. "Good Golly Miss Molly"... those were the days!!
Happy Sunday... thank you for sharing! 💖
WOW!
What a wonderful memory!
Thanks for sharing!
You have a wonderful Sunday too!
Get up and Dance one for your Dad, if you still can!
✌💞💃🎶
@@katherinehunter9526 loved the stories.
The 60s and 70s has a sound that can't ever be replaced , wish we were having this sound for the first time now
That was old school rock music.
Making my day even better!
CELEBRATING 52 YEARS SINCE THE RELEASE OF COSMO'S FACTORY - THE GREATEST STUDIO-RECORDED ALBUM IN ROCKNROLL HISTORY 🎸
that's a mighty big claim but it is one of the GREATS.
It's definitely up there!!!
I used to play that entire album over and over and over and it drove my stepfather insane. Well worth it.
@@theeclectic2919 "Ramble Tamble" is one of the most insane rocker numbers ever.
TOTALLY AWESOME CCR, GREATEST BAND OF ALL TIME!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
With four Liverpool guys that I don't remember the name.
Phenomenal.
Amazing, especially considering this was performed live with no lip syncing. It sounds so much like the recording.
The vocals are live, the rest is mimed
Even the drums? Get real. @@jeffkahl
@@DocReasonable yes. I’m a drummer and you can tell he’s not hitting the snare directly on or the cymbals
He fully hits the front-right cymbal at 0:48 and the one on the left at 2:34 (for example). We can see them being struck and moving and we can hear the noise they make. Stop speaking utter shht. @@jeffkahl
@@DocReasonable dude watch when he hits the crash on the one chorus re-entry. He’s clearly pushing it as opposed to striking it with the stick. Also he’s not making contact at all with the ride cymbal.
This absolutely rocks
More! Give us more CCR live
Awesome!❤️👏🏾
IMO Doug Clifford is one of the most underrated drummers on the planet. Dude is a master of time, swing, and keeping straight in the pocket with his fills man.
Listen to songs like fortunate son, and the bombastic, out of this world drum fills that are perfectly in time.
He is a human metronome, much in the same vein as Ringo, just a little more flashy.
I wholeheartedly agree. I've been playing drums for 55 years and always considered Doug Clifford a master.
I go for the Ringo/Levon Helm feel but I think I'd be mistaken to leave Doug out of the equation. Doug swings like Ringo and punches at the backbeat like early Dennis Wilson.
Heck Yeah, love CCR. I've been rocking to them for over 40 years. ❤❤🎶🎶🎶
Great band the best from the summer of my years.
I still dance to CCR AND I just turned 69! Yeah, I still got the Moves...
but do you still own the white go go boots? :)
Soy.
Another great one. Top tier and still good. All John.
I dont know what we are seeing, but the audio is the record 100%.
Those were the days.
not many can pull off singing a Little Richard song; McCartney & John Fogerty; I saw John’s show in Atlantic City in 2015 and he opened with this; and what an incredible show that was…you think ‘what can he follow up this great song with?’ then rips into yet another hit…hit after hit the entire show and he was in great form vocally & his guitar pickin’; an American treasure
ALL I can say is, GOOD GOLLY MISS MOLLY 🎉❤🎉
The Beatles
A unos meses del festival de Woodstock... Que gran banda de mis preferidas.
This is good but "Bad Moon Rising" must be in the Sullivan vaults somewhere also. I remember seeing that one on TV.
That one wasn't played on The Ed Sullivan Show, but on The Johnny Cash Show along with Proud Mary
Creedence até morrer!
Doug Clifford and Stu Cook killer bass and drums!

Wow!! They are screaming with those guitars!!
The bearded drummer is looking gooood! 😁
I remember seeing him in a Mickey Mouse t shirt on some performance.
@@fluorite1965 Woodstock.
This is very good.
Yessss sirr
Also Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels did the medley of that song & "Devil With A Blue Dress On" in 1966.
Nothing like a blue flanno shirt to make a statement. Wow, wow, wow, thanks for posting. CCR "Cosmos Factory" on an old album will be [playing on my record player this weekend, if I can find it.
Never saw John play that Guild before.
John was AWESOME then and AWESOME now!
Great rendition that they did. I have this on CD and love it. Thank you for sharing it. God Bless You & stay safe.
A Larry Williams song who also wrote "Dizzy Miss Lizzy" that John Lennon sings on the "Help" album.
Two Rickanbakers and a Les Paul. Good combo
holy crap that was good!
FABULOUS.
Show show show 👋👋👋
saw this on tv in black and white 60s or 70s not sure only about 12 then .went to see him 15 yrs ago kept yelling play good golly miss molly right up front and he did awesome show.long live john fogerty.
I LIKE 👍 LITTLE RICHARD VIRSON OF GOOD GOLLY 👍 MISS MOLLY.
Música maravilhosa músicos especiais
Super! Old good Rock’n’Roll, never outdated!
What a solo dude!!!!
CCR is my second favorite band....the first is the Beatles!!!.....Go CCR!!!
Wow I have never seen this before love it
❤❤❤!!!
Bellissima canzone
Très belle interprétation
Just don't forget little Richard was the goat
I really believe the bass groove makes this song one of the greatest CCR hits. Needless to say that John Fogerty is exceptional in vocals and lead guitar. If this doesn't get you rocking then you're either deaph or dead.
CCR the big band of the world
I love 😎😎😎😎
177k views is criminal shows how they deserve more attention
CCR my day.👍
Wow thought this appearance was lost! Awesome post!!
Nice job by Tom on the guitar.
Only thing wrong with this song is it's too short.
Awesome song!!
Rock and roll the way God intended it.
This is good stuff.......
❤❤❤
Good Golly..... Look at those guitars imagine what they're worth today
Fogerty - Legend
Only wonderful songs! Thanks for sharing.
Nice. Long before the stupid money stuff got in the way, the band looks happy and relaxed here, especially Fogerty and his bluesy voice. They all came from Berkley, Califormia!
@Ron Rice There was money stuff years ago. One of the reasons Beatles broke up was over money and running Apple since the manager died. Elvis was about money his manager took his money and pissed it away in Vegas. Just because somebody looks happy you don't know what's going on in the background with someones life.
@@bubbaschwartz This is 1969, they were at their.peak. I think it's a fair bet they were happy then, but it did not last long, that is true.
Fantastic performance! Hopefully, Little Richard liked it.
I 1st Heard this Song on an 8-Track of Album Bayou Country.
Que voz incrível inconfundível.
