Nipsey & Q was always cool with each other but the hood politics just got in the way & prevented them from working together. They had respect for each other & Q said when he dropped his first album, Nipsey pulled up on him in the studio by himself to congratulate him & wish him well.
Nipsey was easily one of the realest to grace the game in recent times. RIP to that man, gone far too soon.

Same here! I buy physical copies of every album he puts out and if I can find CDs of his mixtapes, I buy those too. When I first listened to Oxymoron all the way through, it was like listening to an autobiography of my life in a lot of ways. Obviously not literally every single thing he said, but a lot of it was so relatable. Ever since then he has been my favorite rapper of all time and I am forever a loyal fan of his.

Good Kid MAAD City gave the group mainstream national/worldwide attention, but unfortunately, as soon as they got mainstream recognition, they had already produced their best bodies of work (were already on a downward decline). Section 8, and Good Kid MAAD City were Kendrick’s best two albums (by far), and they were his first. Habits and Contradictions (2012) and Oxymoron (2014) were Schoolboy’s best albums, and they were his second and third respectively.
Peak TDE, led by Kendrick and SchoolBoy, could be argued as the best rap group of all-time, IMO. IMO, this was rap/hip-hop at its absolute peak.
