A West Coast hip hop legend
Muggs, is so underrated as a producer. He has some dope azz beats.
Oh, you mean the white guy? Ya it's tough being white in a gangster rap group, I think they mentioned one sentence about him in this video 🖕🏻👴🏻🖕🏻. Prophets of rage was a f'n joke, just rage against the machine singer replaced with b real💩🤮
Some? I think no one underestimated it, they didn't need cheap advertising,If MTV wanted to do a report, welcome, if not, they wanted to do it too, DJ Muggs with the Soul Assassins record label sold millions of records per week, for the whole world,DJ Muggs is also in House Of Pain, and in so many hits,These are people who were not going to say come here to this awards ceremony, they were going or going where they want, very few artists can or could do that.

L.A legend for sure...way back like in 96.. blazed it with b-real after a show, im a nobody.. just said whats up man, blaze it.. dudes like yeah man, started blazing, just chit chat or what not, then we moved one...
That’s what’s up! A real MF right there
I went to his new's years party in Northridge back in '04- That dude is cool af. Totally down to earth.
We toked & talked about Real estate.
Nope, them non blacks saying nigga some lames, just a few okay songs , lame vatos ain't legends, only legends to some losers perhaps, dudes that don't know Jesus Christ
Temples of Boom is my favorite Cypress Hill album. That whole album is so dope. Especially if you had just blazed one
Facts. That album was so dark and mellow. Stoned Raiders is still my shit
Lyrically it's weak but still awight
I used to blaze on and go walking with this on my headphones
@@samohare3178 Amazing album.
@@micvic83 hell yeah
*Stoned Raiders* (2001) my favorite Cypress Album, that CD used to stay in my Walkman. Still listen to it!
You prolly mean Discman. 🖖
@@vinsemi9734Nope, meant what I said my good sir, it for sure was a Walkman CD Player created by the one & only SONY.
Thanks for the advice I downloaded it now off iTunes
It came out on CD and they were still sold on cassette, what's the problem because I don't know how successful the previous albums were, the piracy,That Stoned Raider album, it was tremendous, it logically came out for the whole world, but MP3s were already there, and piracy already existed at the end of the 90s, a good album, I played it at full volume,And I hadn't seen the Lowrider video, the sound was once again the evolution of what Cypress Hill released, the voices, how they rap, the songs are simply impressive, the rhythm was something new,I remember on Saturday nights playing that CD at full blast, it was the first original Cypress Hill CD, the others were always copies, I was little, I had no money, and for 2002 I'm going to buy one of the previous ones and I find the Stoned Raiders fresh out of the oven, I start to see it, I see the year and I took it,And on top of that this album brings 2 bonus tracks in Spanish for my country, so it was incredible, and it still is.
@@JeromeromesheltonrecordspoliceLong live piracy.
Cypress Hill with The Portland orchestra was the most gangsta classy show I’ve ever seen. 🎩💨
Damn I didn't know they did that I'll have to check it out
@@JohnSmith-fq7hj It was the best & dope as hell.👍🏾
Nothing but love for B Real, Peace from Philly!
I never knew B Real was a blood well now I do
Yup, him and dj quik were the first rappers from the red team to spit on wax, at least the first ones that were famous!
@@integrityborn6156 Yeah I been knew about DJ Quick being from Tree Top Piru
How long Ya been a C.H. fan . . . You must be a newbie
@@sameemas1723 Honestly I was never a big Cypress Hill fan I never had nothing against them they just weren't my first choice when it comes to West coast music
@@alidaygo619 There's a lot of Hispanic members of Family Swan Bloods. The Towne Boys clique is mostly Hispanic
B real played in Meteor man I remember that as a kid
For real? I've watched a few times since l was little and don't remember. I'ma watch it again now lol
Yes he had a red flannel on
Didnt know his dad got shot 12 times. Damn he grew up in the belly of the beast during LA's crazy gang years. To this day "Just Kill a Man" is still one of the hottest West Coast songs to this day
That Crack era was no effing joke . . . Worst time ever in L.A. . . .
Big facts cuz that's still in heavy rotation over here in Philly
build that wall🧐
I always liked him, and Cypress Hill.
Shout to B-Real Mexican 🇲🇽 & Cuban 🇨🇺 from FSB 89 🩸👌🏾and one of my favorite Latino rappers growing up in So*Cal. #CypressHill 🌿💨
Cube said: give me dat beat fool, it’s a full time jack move! 😂😭🔥🔥🔥💯💪🏿🤦🏾♂️🥷🏿
I loved Cypress Hill as a kid. "Hits from the bong" had me hooked whenni heard it on How High.
Not only was that song on juice, it was also on Radio Los Santos GTA SA
That’s true....but it was in the movie Juice in like 1992, years before GTA.
Being in Juice blew up their career. They were selling like hundreds of copies of their album a week, then after Juice came out, they started selling like 10,000 copies a week
@@Day-ZDuke 💯 no doubt, just calling it out for those that didn't know.
@@reydean171 right on man. & I apologize if it came off harshly, sometimes text comes across that way
I was just noting the info for same reason as you I suppose. Lol. Just to inform younger people who may not even have been around back then
The best song is "Pigs."
Absolutely fascinating
Nice video much love to b real and cypress hill

That first album is a straight up masterpiece, Temple of Boom is my second favorite album they ever did
Also great that they made Spanish versions of their songs.

Big Respect 🫡 To Cypress Hill My Big Bros B-Real and Sen Dog! Xtra Strength shout out to Mellow Man Ace. Good Looks On The Upload!
Temples is one of my all time favorite albums boi. I could probably spit it beginning to end . To this day ! To this day!
Lol been a cypress fan from the jump .
Absolutely....same 💯
Their best album by far.
Salute from Detroit
Created all this weed in Hip Hop. Rest is history👑
B-Real and Cypress Hill are most definitely pioneers of Hip-Hop. ☠️ Legendary West Coast LA sound. Psycho Realm 🧠
Of trash to be honest. Cali hasn't been the same since 90's
That literally made no sense. How are they pioneers of something that was around before they were rapping? Make it make sense.
Both of y'all are idiots
Trolls. Definitely pioneers. They came with east coast sounding beats, spanglish rap, and had mainstream success without selling out. Listen to Strictly Hip Hop. No R&B singers on the hooks. They brought weed to the mainstream. Everyone loved Hits From the Bong. Their sound evolved every album. Listen to IV and how different it is from III. No one did what they did
@@eb3005 They did sellout especially b real & I don't understand how you don't see it & a rap group in new York named peanut was also Latino or Hispanic group but was never given respect to as well. Till big pun came along as well & later on to more.
Living Legend
Great video man. Shout out to cypress hill.
Props to B Real, you said it best when you said “Westcoast pioneer.” I remember that beef with Ice Cube, I do remember it about to get serious with gang involvement, almost could’ve been a race war, kinda sorta, glad it didn’t. B Real is a pretty good interviewer and interviewee as well.
The track 911 with Boo Ya Tribe and Eminem was 🔥🔥🔥🔥💯
Welcome back 🙏
Cypress Hills is a housing project in East New York, Brooklyn
Love Cypress Hill😎😎👍
Temples of Boom was the first rap I ever listened to. Took it from my uncle, I was about 7. Being from the San Francisco Bay Area en el Norte de California, B-Real and Cypress Hill was my favorite thing in LA.
Saludos to the whole group 🇲🇽✊🏽
One of my CD’s form only 3 artists I’ve had stolen from me multiple times.
Let’s be real tho nah I’m jst playin lmao
Mellow Man Ace hit saved B-Real from the war zone of Watts and South Central Los Angeles, good big brother.
No lie, cube did remix Throw Ya Set In The Air off that Friday Soundtrack😏. I like both.💯
You mean stole it?
He a legend fa sho and so is the group as a whole
Yeah he's a legend not just West Coast but worldwide been a fan since the '90s
Big ups to B:Real, $en Dog, D.J. Muggs & Mellow Man Ace! LegeLegends in Ca.L.A county!
B Goat 💯 Underated heavy hitter
Props to Cypress Hill 🍁 they still putting on a good show. Just seen them along with Bone Thugs, 3-6 Mafia, Psycho Realm. Show was lit as a mofo 🔥 💨 Still got it 30 years later 🍁 🚀 🛸
My cousins introduced me to Cypress Hill. I had Los Grandes Exitos, that my cousin Ron gave to me. I was a fan from the first listen. They're not everyone's cup of java, but you don't know what you're missing!
Black Sunday ❤
I been knew B Real was ah Blood for years
Fax
I saw the glad interview part of the video and almost insta changed the vid. Then I remembered it wasn't a glad video.
Do one on Alpo Martinez he ain't from Cali but did way more and was a kingpin legend status 💯
Dude is so well spoken.. doesn't act like an idiot.
Temples of boom is one the greatest albums of all time any genre
100%🎯
Classic album!
I remember B Real in Who's The Man
Dr.Greenthumbs Show weekdays ☠️
B.Reals track off the Friday soundtrack was keyed up. People always slept on B.real and cypress hill in general.
Sinister is one of my favorites. He went in on B-Real. Lol 💯
Temples of boom is a masterpiece
Every metalhead's favourite rap group. Even moreso than Public Enemy.
You sound like vince staples, good video tho

That actually was not Psychorealm last album. They made A War Story Vol 1, which is hard as hell
U mean vol.2...half of the album still features big duke
B Real Ah Cuban Mexican
Hardcore
I didn't know he was a Blood
His mother must of be Afro Cuban.
sinister dissed b real for being fake
Sinister was a real active, bout that life, lot of other dudes bang for 1 year n claim gng to give Street credit
Thats what happens in the hood. Once one of the homies makes it out the hood and gets some paper, the homies get jealous and salty and pull out the you don’t come back to the hood card anymore card. Typical Crabs in the bucket mentality. Thats a shame how they did Sinister. Legend has it one of his own homies or family members did him in.
The gang family swans is one of the most dangerous gang in LA in the 80s and 90s. B Real was hanging with deadly killers
He was from Southgate, they set was small out there

Why you think they can’t B real stand for blood for real? I’m from Watts and it went to school in Southgate and played ball with his cats. He was down for being the blood . mellow man ace to.
