He's the most smileiest person ive ever seen. Hes just a big ball of sunshine, nice to see him growing on kimmel. Deserved.
He is way bigger than Kimmel, if anything he is doing him a favour.
It's especially sad when people like him are depressed. Good to see him back to enjoying life.
he smells good wdym

He is such a good ambassador for the sport.

totally agree bro....and UNLIKE some of our Aussie tennis players, this Daniel dude has class and charisma!
Imagine being one of the elite and only 20 drivers of your sport and being the most marketable in the US...that's bank.
@@NulJern I was only referring to F1 wise ass....n if there's only twenty seats open in the WHOLE WORLD, I don't care if he only raced once, he elite
Edit: unless you're Lance stroll
He did race last season@@NulJern he didnt race for the beginning of this season. Get your facts right.

Seeing Daniel Ricardo on Jimmy Kimmel is super awesome!!
Yeah except F1 is boring and lame now...
You shouldn’t be complaining, Marcus!
@@NemohHoes Why not?? F1 IS boring and lame now!!
@@MarcusAurelius7777 And still you are interested enough to follow the drivers. Looks like it wasnt that lame after all.
Why?
Imagine how charming and charismatic you must be to currently drive a back marker car yet you’re still the PR main character for the sports. No wonder nowadays people think of him much more of an entertainer than a racing driver, but deep down the street knows that he’s the only one that can pull a Rosberg on current form Verstappen.
You haven't been paying attention.
No he can’t. Max showed that already and just got better since, where Ricc is on the decline.
? last 2 he drove his nutzsacks off in that back marker car, 1 lap down bs, another points finish for sure...
The reason Dany is back on the grid is because he matched Maxs best Q3 laptime at the track. He did it the day after the race when the rain had washed away the laid down rubber & on test tyres that were harder, in Maxs RB19.
Not just that but he did it in 7laps, all after driving an F1 car first time in 6 months.
It caused such a frenzy that Horner called Marko right after that 7th lap and told him about it. Marko on his side, fired DeVries the next second.
@@bjrnchrstn do you really think Rosberg can did what he did in 2016? Absolutely not. All i’m saying is, when two fast drivers with similar driving characteristics is on the same team, charisma, attitude, and soft-skills play a bigger part than you realize. There’s a reason why Senna with all that talent got beaten by Prost, you also see the same thing with Sainz and Leclerc.
he's so excited to be there it's so cute - but regardless he seems like such a kind man this was so fun
He would never be back after the strike today was over!! They will have celebs again
@@javiruiz8365he is a celebrity. Do you know that right?
@@javiruiz8365Ricciardo has been on a handful of late night shows over the last couple years. Not sure why the strike would have anything to do with it. Being among the top twenty in the world at your sport kind of makes you a celebrity.
His sponsor is Red Bull. And he has much more charisma than Max Verstapen. The word needs to get out about the F1 race in Vegas. So much money invested in it. Red Bull has its own sponsored grand stands.
@@tommyguyishereYou mean Max likes to stay out of drama.Real F1 fans know Max is the talent of the generation and they love him .
Why is Daniel always so shy and awkward and mesmerised every time he's on some American talk show, it's so funny hahahaha! Cutestttt! I was smiling for all 8 minutes 44 seconds, thanks guys.
you call that awkward?
@@tikket10 compared to his videos within the f1 ecosystem, yes. Also I was referring to his talk show appearances in general
no way hes shy , wouldnt be on if it were the case
Because they are heavily prepped before interviews on American TV shows, very rigid rules on what they can and can-not say on TV, which often dampens natural flow of conversation. There's a long list of forbidden words and topics they are not allowed talk about on American TV.... PC brigade!
I’ve been a HUGE Alonso fan for decades, but I can’t help rooting for Danny Ric as well…great ambassador for not only F1, but racing in general. Great to see him back on the grid!!!
You can't not love the honey badger ❤
@@stephhinton8633 facts!!
When you hear a pilot say: ‘I like it (driving at night)… everything seems faster,’ you know you’re in the presence of a real pilot… there’s no fear, just speed. I hope he wins!
My brother in Christ, he is driving an AlphaTauri, he won’t win the race.
Sadly this is the case. RB19 is such a better chassis But Danny has shown he can hold up pretty well even in an AT if he qualifies high up.
He's not a pilot, he's a racing driver.
Why do they call it a cockpit then? It’s actually fairly common to refer to f1 drivers as pilots
@@A3wagyu That doesn't mean it's the correct terminology for a racing driver in the English language. It's just native Spanish speakers (and I suppose you too) who assume it's a direct translation. Just because it is commonly used by Spanish speakers doesn't mean it's correct.
Crazy how effortlessly he flows through conversation really is a gift
Danny "the man that never stops smiling" Ric 🇦🇺
I am an Aussie, and I have have worked with Daniel a few times, and he is just how you see him. Really cool and funny and respectful. Just a cool dude.
I love that he is always smiling! His positive energy is so contagious, I didn’t realize that I was also smiling the whole time 😁🥰
I love how he never stops smiling, that’s why he’s my favourite
Daniel in Top gear with Jeremy Clarkson is still one of my favourites, what a great personality.
And remember, he topped the leader board for F1 drivers.
And he's still got the all-time Suzuki Liana record! Quicker than Kimi, than Seb and Lewis, all of them
'So what's the back of Lewis Hamilton's car look like! 😂😂
Daniel's smile could make even the saddest person so happy!
It’s so cute how he was gesturing to the crowd to cheer Jimmy on. Such a Danny Ricc thing to do!
Guillermo wasn’t too far when he said the show would have great guests from next week. Daniel just made it even better. We will be cheering for you mate !
now you don't know what i said to get this many likes

just in the US. another reason why he is in that alpha tauri n not Liam

He's not . Currently it's Max Verstappen. And I would add Hamilton as well .
I remember watching the Australian gp this year and the loudest the crowd would cheer was when they showed a shot of him … (and he was still just a reserve driver at this point)
his smile is so contagious. i was smiling through this whole interview
Danni Ric is a great ambassador for the sport! I like seeing F1 getting more popular in the US because it's not a spec series but an engineering competition as well as a drivers' competition.
Who else got a 😁 for the entire interview? That Smile is contagious!
Main character moment for Danny! Definitely one of the more recognizable faces of F1 😊
I don't know what "The X Factor" is, but whatever it is, Daniel clearly has it. The young man is a star.
Danny Ric has a personality and carisma that not many drivers have, that’s why he’s still F1’s number 1 PR guy. I think he is a great driver still and he is slowly coming back to that Danny we all knew and loved (the one prior to McLaren).
Met him at the Brazilian GP last week. Nicest guy on track by a mile.
Daniel's personality shines brightly wherever he goes. ❤
F1 wasn't just popular in Europe alone. It's been followed by fans around the world. In the 90s, I would watch the replays since I can't watch it live.
I was bought a scale model, metal F1 car in a glass case on my 7th birthday, because my family knew I was into it, I'm 54yrs old next birthday :)

Daniel is always a good time. Such a good ambassador for AT and F1☺️
Cool to see Daniel Ricciardo, or any F1 driver, on a U.S. late night show! Love how much F1 has blown up here in the States these past few years.
He has won 8 grand prix and 32 podiums, only a few drivers above him.
The most charismatic F1 driver ever, our Danny boy.
It's nice to see F1 getting some recognition stateside. Say what you want about Drive to Survive, but at the very least it's opened the door to the US market, and the Sport is better for it, in almost every way. Almost.
Sprint races
Opened the door to a market that is clueless because of DtS and got a totally wrong picture of sports and athletes.
Rather didn’t have those fans tbh.
Yea making Muricans even more ignorant isnt bad at all. I'd rather see no fans and no races in the States at all, those misbehaving 'fans' dont deserve a minute of racing.
@@bjrnchrstnas an american i agree with you. the amount of people who are incapable of understanding the show isn’t an accurate representation of the sport is pretty disheartening ngl. though, most of the DTS drones have still never actually watched a race so i suppose they wouldn’t know any better..
just keep in mind: while it being “good for the sport” is definitely questionable, the wave of popularity has also scooped up people like me who have become genuine diehard motor racing enthusiasts simply because there’s more access and visibility for us now (personally i got in via formula E, of all series). granted we are few and far between, but i hope that the wider influx of cash will help the sport grow without it becoming americanized. we have plenty of our own sports and they are all tediously similar in how they are run. despite the general lack of knowledge a lot of us are happy to have a new and better sport to follow.
cheers
yeah I hate when Danny said people think it is some sort of scripted reality show kinda deal and they get confused it's actual racing but at least Drive To Survive did market it to US
Daniel is so likable. I hope to him in the points again in every race.
His smile is so contagious man
Haven't heard anything positive about the circuit itself but i love that we get to see more of the drivers like this.

Daniel is just such a great spokes person for F1, and his smile makes me smile with optimism
What makes Daniel shine is that he is real, there's no bullshit with him.

Danny Ric, Legend. So pleased that he’s racing in Vegas.
Theres an american on the grid full time for the first time since like 2009 or something, and they still bring Danny Ric on instead 😂😂 Guy is so full of smiles and charisma you can't hate the guy. Seems like a genuinely funny dude!
There’s almost not a single moment where he doesn’t smile, its weirdly cute and hes such an amazing happy person
Jimmy: "It would be great to win that thing right???"
F1 fans: **Cries in Max Verstappen**.
After 2min in I'm just like "dudes super happy and i love it" lol
He is always like that. He knows he hit the career jackpot and lets it show.
great content!
That goes to show that reflex is the most basic skill needed but anticipating and predicting the car’s behaviour is what separates the best from the risk of the grid
why is it so hard to find a guy like this
he is so precious
It's lights out and away we go!

Love that he's on Kimmel and not the other one!
The only 'marketable to the masses' driver in F1. Only one who could've done this better is Kimi.
Alex Albon might be a contender too, he has great wits and is slowly building his own very approachable personal brand
Albon is honestly better. Ricciardo is great when you know his personality a bit more, but he can come across a bit slow or out there somehow, a bit weird if you don't. Albon is straight up media perfection. Well behaved, vocal, well thought out, but also still very much with a sense of humour present at all times. Then again, everybody loves an Aussie so... @@sundaydriver15

I know he’s had a few terrible years, but drive to survive, became a success because of him after series one. Ian, a couple of others really made an effort to put on a show for the cameras. Might not be in the best car, but he’s a great ambassador for F1.
