2:22 Your creativity is great
I love everyone in the comments section being such smartasses despite that this video is OBVIOUSLY showing a TEMPORARY solution to a problem
Excellent!
Thank you
👍
I'm going to Try it
Thanks, it's easy for an emergency situation.
Did you have the waste pipe hooked up to the water main?
Muy buena esa empanada
Ha ha great trick!
Buena idea
Gracias
Fa caa'.
So you satisfied that job
Nice
Futile exercise 😜😜😜. These tricks never last, seemingly mesmerizing that's all.
I understand, in fact they are useful but only in case of need.
2:06 You did great
Should waterproof silicone/ compound not be smeared on the inside joint at each end as well . ?
Lots of hate in the comments. However, these are good tips if you need something quick because a plumber is not available and/or Home Depot is closed.
Great idea thank you ☺️
Thanks
How about just fixing it for 10 bucks and 5 minutes
The 2 Ideas Are Good However The Use Of Stainless Steel Hose Clamps Would Be More Effective Than Wire Ties.
Interesting...🤔👍
Thanks
Parabéns
Thanks
Why is thin drain pipe pvc being used for a water main?
Viable just for very low presure water column.
Some pools use PVC low pressure
I still would just fix it right but in a jam possibly
Yeah try that with 80psi😂
@Ron Strulic In this case there should be no problem since the water pressure is low, the pipe resists
Outstanding
Nice job sir

Thank you 🙏
Videos like this are always shot where it’s easy to get to. Most water leaks are in walls or in a craw space. Shut the water off and fix it the right way. Tape don’t stop water leaks especially under pressure. Might work on a drain pipe. For a little while.
That isn't true in my case.
10 years ago I was about to move into a new home, and straight away had a leak behind my bathroom wall, upstairs.
Water was pissing out through my living room ceiling, downstairs.
I could hear where the leak was, behind the bathroom wall, so I smashed a hole in my plasterboard, and it was a "pressurised" copper, cold water pipe.
All I could find in the house at the time was a kids party balloon and a thick cable tie.
I folded the balloon in 4 and cable tied it, and thought " i hope this will do, til I get it repaired properly. "
It worked well.
Anyway, I'm still living in my old home, because were getting this new one reinvented, and the bathroom fitters( organized by my wife) turned up, overboarded and tiled the bathroom.
I was shitting it, thinking it was going to burst anytime.
10 years later and everything is fine.
I certainly wouldn't recommend doing that as a long term repair, and it wasn't going to be, and I do occasionally think "surely that balloon repair is going to burst."
But so far all is fine.
10 years later.
but what kind of tape did you use
La tercera me pareció mejor. Gracias
Gracias a ti! Saludos!
@@martinarmenta6008 no entendiste nada.
@@napster0221 Bajo la óptica de tu endejez, la quinta fue la mejor... 🤪
Anybody else notice when the water got cut off while the bike tub was being applied???
Super hack. Just fix it right.
Are supposed to keep a inter tube in house all the time or just simply turn water off before all the floors are water damaged
You need to cut it out and replace it. PVC and copper pipes always need to be replaced if it is leaking.
Creo.
It's takes only 5 minutes to cut out the tee and replace that section, why are we teaching people to be lazy
Good
Thanks
How rectify the corner joint leakage
👍
What is the name of black substance you used
🤗😍👍👍
Thanks 🤗
These where not repairs. These where patches. Essentially putting a bandaid on it. Repair means fixing the problem
An approved method in India,Thailand,Iran, and some areas of California
Of course friend, this repair can be very useful in a pinch, it must be approved at any time, regards!
A pipe that size is not a water pipe. It’s a out flow pipe. Stop with the misinformation
This could work in a limited capacity so that you have time to go out and get the parts for a proper repair
If this is something temporary that gives you time to go out and buy repair parts
A better solution would be to use an about 270° cilinder casc (instead of a half cilinder casc, or 180° casc).
Why? Because by using a 270° casc, after pressing it firmingly against the pipe (aiming at having the casc embracing the leaking pipe) it will become 'self fixed'.
How much pressure is in that pipe? (edited spellng)
What we call that tighting thing
MacGyver theme starts playing in my head
Inspectors approve of this fix in commercial applications
Of course not, this can only be useful in a pinch, my friend.
Muchas gracias Rodríguez, gracias saludos cordiales amigó🙏
Vc desligou a água quando passou o pano....
Best is to use socket, this rubber will ultimately shrink, it won't Last
In fact, it is best to use a plug, but this can be used to cover while you buy the plug, good morning
Why would there be water constantly running through a waste pipe?
Or cut the water off, cut out the pipe add a coupling and short piece of pipe and done in 5 mins
Obviously this dude has never heard about "the amazing power of flesh seal"
How much water was wasted doing this?
Wouldn't it be better if you dried it with some paper towels while holding it then wrap electrical tape around it going around the same way you did with the rubber?
Absolutely genius!. Cut up a 10 dollar bicycle tube instead of installing a 1 dollar collar.
😂
to me thats simple repairs. have been watching cannel & like the simplicity i subscribed for more please keep up the good work
Code compliant in Mogadishu.
Oke
Rubber banding on pipes old and easy + emergency solution
That's not a water line ,they are under pressure. And that is sewer pipe,.
If it is a drainage pipe, millimeter low pressure pipe
If that is the size of your sewer pipe, you must have very small turds.
Please, whoever is watching this, DO NOT cut PVC pipe towards your hand
A $1.56 coupling would also do the job!
GOT IT.
TAPE THE PIPE & TURN OFF THE WATER. If 2" drain pipe has that much pressure you might not be a plumber.
You're definitely not a plumber. It's a low pressure water line.
@@Auburn7543 Nice try, that is not the correct pipe for a low pressure system. Unless you're a pLuMbEr 🤡
People have been doing it for years and years.🤔
Como se llama esa goma?? Que nombre tiene?
+1
