It's a nightmare. I'm literally freezing in my house trying to set this useless thermostat. I wouldn't have bought this house if I'd known how unnecessarily difficult it would be to operate.
Does anyone know how to limit this thermostat to not go past a certain temperature example not go past 75 degrees because my dad keeps setting it to 80 degrees and it’s literally killing me told him just wear more clothes or use a blanket but he wants to crank it up and walk in shorts and a tank top
What a horrible design. A thermostat should never have any function which requires reading the manual, like "hold both buttons for 5 seconds". Most of the time, people don't purchase a thermostat themselves, it's already installed in their home or building, so they don't have the manual. Every function should be immediately obvious from looking at the thermostat.
The problem I’m having is that the ac stays on for 3min turns off for 1min for that min the heater blower turns on which in results in hot hair coming out, then the ac turns on again for 3 min the same thing over and over
How do you clear all past schedule settings quickly and easily, so when you select a temperature, it’s not overridden by previous selections that aren’t apparent? This unit is so basic that it’s very inconvenient to use.

Hi, I am having an issue with this termostat not shutting off my zone valve on a 3 wire white and Rodgers zone. it turns it on fine but wont shut the zones off. it appears to be wired and set up correctly but it has to be a wiring issue as all zones are acting the same way and all were fine before swapping the thermostats. is there anything particular that you have to do to this with a hot water boiler other than setting the cycle to 3?
Hi John! We'd like to have the opportunity to assist you with this process. When you have a moment, please contact our tech support team at 1-800-468-1502, or through Facebook and Twitter under Honeywell Home. We look forward to hearing from you soon. -Charlie

Thanks for reaching out to us Aricia! The thermostat is configured as per default to recognize your system as a Gas or Oil Furnace, if you have a water heater system that works on electricity or an electrical boiler, there's a particular step in the configuration you need to go through: 1. On the back of the thermostat there's a switch you need to check that it's on ''electric'' and not Gas/Oil. 2. After you put the thermostat back on the wall, press and hold the Up and Down arrows for 4-5 seconds. 3. According to the numbers you see, let me know and I will tell you which is the right one for Water Heater / Boilers. Note: These thermostats are not compatible with series 20 or normally open zone valves in water systems. -Tony
