I like Larko but he was dead wrong on the SVG penalty. Brown brakechecked in the middle of the corner and paid the price. The moment that penalty was given was the moment SVG decided to go to Nascar.
Love the explanation, disagree with the outcome. Not because the penalties aren’t technically valid, just that it removes the gamesmanship from the sport. Fans are switching off, drivers aren’t happy and looking to go elsewhere. It’s great that the cars are getting closer in parity and the results are determined more on the driver’s ability, but if you aren’t going to let them race than what is the point?
We all like a bit of biff and barge, that is what makes Supercars interesting. But SVG takes the aggression one step beyond. He has used that tactic many times in previous seasons and got away with it. So it was refreshing to see him penalised on this occasion. Just wonder why this time and not previously?
@@charlesgustavino7085 Got a downer on SVG? Why is it Ozzies always whine and criticise their own guys who are successful? SVG is no worse than many others on the grid. You're biased.

I'm a NASCAR/Indy fan and I'm really getting into Supercars after SVG won Chicago. Supercars are fun to watch and they are really cool vehicles. *Whispering* Don't tell anyone but I like the cars more than NASCAR stock cars. Anyway, the one thing I can't get on board with is penalties for minor contact at the end of the race. You can't bump and run!!? Blasphemy. 😂 Great sport otherwise. 👍🏾
I thought Will did a good job defending on this lap and we all know Shane has the skills and tires to make a clean pass. Seemed a bit excessive and like he pushed Will off line to me just to get the pass.
Waters was 50/50 and the penalty was probably justified . Shane’s doesn’t seem right at all . Shane vs mostart at the start of the year was play on so this should have been too .
Here’s one for the brains trust: Could it be argued that Will gained an advantage (or tried too) by causing a collision intentionally braking more than he needed too twice in a corner? Ie unpredictable speed? It’s considered a fair tactic for blocking/defence but doesn’t seem to be different if imposing word of the law?
That's exactly the problem, and exactly what happened between Shane and brodie in Perth, where the lead car got the penalty. The inconsistent ruling make it almost impossible
My view is this… Shane’s bump meant Brown was carry too much speed and needed to apply more brake than usual. Clearly evident as he ran wide with the extra braking moment. Without that second dab of the brakes, he’s running outside track limits.
we want bump and run as long as its not a dump and run. nothing at all wrong with a little bump, the whole essence of touring cars, look at btcc for example
@@James-jf2cl Agreed, there has to be line drawn somewhere. The essence of Gen 3 was to make it cheaper for the teams and more exciting for the fans, but these penalties will be making the drivers question if they should be more conservative with their driving!

Sorry Larko, talk it up all you want but viewers can see straight through the boloney. He did not impede on him at all Roland Dane made a phone call no doubt and don't crap on about the series being so whatever U you are told to say, it isn't what U say..
Supercars will take the position away if SVG so much as scuffs the paint. Will got the call by parking his car on the apex with a defensive corner entry that always results in a slow wide exit. Will can't take much pride in keeping the position this way knowing full well SVG out classes him by a margin on any given Sunday. So many Supercars drivers try to slow SVG down when he's in the mirror, at the expense of trying to be faster than him. Reminds me of prime Senna and Dale Sr driving through the field, everybody knows the big dog is headed to the front. I find it less sporting to impede the obviously faster man, than it is for the faster man to hardly scratch your paint getting around.
