When the L.E.D.s came on i honestly thought to myself... WOW!!! Holly Schmidt, very nice Thermaltake! I am definitely going to take a serious look at your products for my next custom PC. Kudos!
Oh you do put effort in making videos look good lately! Very much appreciated, most component manufacturers don't care a lot about video editing and cuts and stuff, and they should since doing so makes the components look more attractive :)
finaly an build with 2x 360mm rads, i tought it cant be done even with the slim rads!! But now i know i can go slim on the top + thicker in the front !!! ty
Thermal Mike it rly is! updating my rig in 1-2 mounths and that is def the case ill go with. Mike any info if the case will have an option with 120mm fans? I mean will it be avivable to buy with 3x 120mm insted of the 140mm fans which are stock atm. Thx
Wait a minute.. you guys make and include a GPU riser bracket with the case then go ahead and sell the connector ribbon separately... that's a slap in the face to customers it should be included with the case.
Been looking for a case to upgrade to. I have found it. i love the look of it and for my first custom loop i think this will be the best case for it! cannot wait to pick it up and all my other goodies to make it! thanks for the great build video!
The big question is, does the View 31 support two large GPUs (for SLI - namely, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 from EVGA) with one card mounted vertically - on air cooling? THAT would be impressive, and pretty much make this a guaranteed buy for me.
Great chase for modding...I have changed mobo backplate, psu cover installed, psu back mask too, than I have modded front side to fit in 420mm rad and I have modded new I/O panel :D now,I have striped all the paint and its ready for painting xD
not really friend, the casing air flow is actually very good, im using 240slim rad with custom loop for my ryzen5 1600, overclocked at 3.8ghz running at 100% 24/7, im getting solid 47C all the time. Im staying in pretty warm country as well with 35C in the afternoon.
I really like my View 21 except for the airflow on the front panel. I get excessive temperatures with a push fan configuration on a 360mm rad when the front panel is on (approaching 50C coolant temps), so I am currently running my new open loop without a front panel. I was wondering why there wasn't top of case airflow, as that could solve some of those problems, and lo and behold I discover the View 31. I wish I could have grabbed this one instead, but I still suspect that front panel causes some serious restriction on airflow. I would like to see Thermaltake offer mesh front panel options with that curve for the View 21 and View 31. Based on the construction, it looks possible to create a front panel that preserves that beautiful shape with fine mesh that you would find on cases such as the Phanteks Eclipse P400A. I'd be willing to pay $25-$40 for something like that if it meant better thermals for my new liquid cool loop.
I have a strong dislike towards Thermaltake. The view 31 comes with Riing 14 RGB out of the box but they're only hardware controlled. So if you want to sync the RGB together you have to buy seperate fans. I mean... They even switched the fans for Riing 12 plus an didn't even mention it lol.
Awesome case! Have a quick question tho, is the included RGB fans come with a controller ? If yes, is the controller thats with “MODE”, “PLAY/PAUSE”, and “SPEED” buttons?
Is it possible to use full air cooling (cpu tower and multiple chassis fans) for sufficient cooling in this case? Would be a temporary measure while saving to build my custom loop, tyia.
I have a question. Can i combine c1000 pure clean cooland with one or tow of your concentrates to create a new colors? is it still working or it could have problems with the computer?
do I just buy one pack of the 6-pack led fittings? is 6 enough?...also, pacific series fittings do I need to buy? what size and what kind? there's so many different shapes and I don't really know what I'm doing lol
Did you get all of those RGB fans and fittings plugged into a single controller? If so, did you use cable splitters. I can't imagine a controller with that many plug-ins.
Hey Mike. Can you please tell what kind of RGB fans are included with Thermaltake View 31 RGB version and how you control them. Are they one of the newest ones or older version.
Marcin Wasik They are the 1st Gen RGB Fans with the buttons on the controller. If you plan to go with the newer versions, grab the non RGB one and save some $$$
Ive got something similar to this set up in my view 31. Im having a issue with the airflow through the front panel, as it only has a small amount of mesh. If only it had an option for a full mesh front.
Sakage Great question! I did it this way because yes the psu, BUT we do offer a power supply cover accessory for the view 31, it is the same as the Suppressor F31 :) so grab that and you can clean up the bottom even more.
I guess some people like a shroud and I am really pleased to hear that it is available as an accessory, but if you buy a really nice PSU, you kinda want to show that off, at least I do!
Hi the project is the hammer looks very good and you have the very well explained great video would be synonymous for my new project a consideration. Gruß aus Germany
When will the Riing Plus single fan be released? I'm rocking the original riing rgb fans I need 4 fans for my build if I upgrade to the riing plus and I really like how nice they look.
One thing I would love to see is a case like this with at least one optical drive. And a swing away glass front. Putting drive on very top would be nice for someone like me who likes to download CDs and watch Blue Ray movies from my computer. Plz make this
Han I have this case and I can confirm that you can I actually have a 280mm with push pull and then I still have space for another 140mm in the bottom.
To keep costs competitive we include the analog version of the Riing Fans. We also offer a non-RGB model of the case if you have plans for using different fans. In the video we went with the Riing Plus to show the best option :)
the fans in this case have 3, 5 pin ch fans can someone please tell me how I plug them in my mother board when mother boards only come with 3 pin and 4 pin ch fan connections mine has 4 pin for speed control. I need help or Im just going to sen it back to amazon. to bad its not a bad case but about to throw it out the window
300m. I'm using a coolermaster 200mm riser cable and it will only reach the second X16 slot on my strix X99 mobo. Also due to the way the GPU mounts to the bracket you will need a Thermaltake riser to secure the GPU correctly.
Pro tip: Unless you are liquid cooling your GPU, DO NOT use the vertical mount. There's not enough space for your GPU fans to cool properly and your temps will shoot up! That's a design flaw that Thermaltake has to address.
The Jam Man I totally added it up in my head. You see the parts list, just depends on like fittings and what YOU plan to do :) So don't beat me up on the price lol
Forewarning to those looking to purchase the case with fans included. They only sell HIGH STATIC PRESSURE Fans in ANY size for the Riing Model. These fans are NOT recommended for Case cooling, Best for radiators or heat sinks.
I hate how there is no mention about the RBG. The control module is not the fans is not the same as advertised. You get a few options. This case does not come software ready. Manually changing the colors in the case, the thermaltake AIO RIING and the PSU is a shit way to go about it since they don't come with the module that connects via usb.
Thermaltake have started with great case idea, BUT WHY do they think anybody wants glass on the rear ? I like the rest enough to maybe buy, but would have to Black out the rear panel. Car screen tint maybe. No mention of dust filtration for front, does it have any ???
The riser cable is an awesome concept, too bad Thermaltake is asking way too much for it, 70 Bucks is not even close to reasonable. It's your product and when it does not sell perhaps you will know why. Not everyone can afford 400 bucks for a case...
Paul Bialozor Thanks for the feedback, we have a cheaper version available as well. The pricing for the premium cable is right where it should be. The RGB version is on $129.99 :)
Tell me Thermal Mike, how do you justify these prices??? You claim they are right where they should be; what is your comparison? I've seen similar cables for 1/3 your price. Unless I am missing something but 70 bucks for a PCIe extension is just not reasonable at all. 15 or 20 bucks is reasonable. I am all for a Free Market and Profit, but price gouging is a whole different story. I find it impossible to believe that your mark up on this cable is only 30%; seems to me it's more like 300%. How do you justify the cost of the cable? What is so special about this cable that it brings a 70 dollar price tag? Just saying...
Paul Bialozor These are Premium Cables, we offer budget cables too! You will see there are other "high-end" cables around the same price. Avoid the bargain bin when it comes to your gpu, get a good cable if you want to go vertical. It is optional :)
Paul Bialozor I've never seen a PCIE cable that cost $20 that wasn't worthless! Thermaltake's premium branded products are more expensive then the competitions offerings but from my experience with their products most of the time the premium price is well worth the cost. For example just look at the cost of Phanteks new Elite chassis it's $899 but they are selling like crazy so that tells me if you make a superior product they will "come". It's you get what you pay for, pay a cheap price you get crap, pay a premium price you get the best. This is just MHO! Hi Mike!
Thermal Mike nice, way to skate around the questions I asked... I've used several PCIe cables from China, oh FYI about 90% of all PC related parts come from China these days good luck finding something Made in America or the USA. I asked you to justify your price and you give me "Billy sells similar cables for about the same price so that's why we do it BS..." Thermal Mike either answer with the truth or don't reply. I've been around the block more times than I care to admit in my 55 years of life, as of Jan 2017, and I am here to say I can smell bullshit when hear it.... You can't justify the price of your cable for 70 bucks and there is no way your mark up is only 30%, more like 300% or 3,000% mark up. GREED is why you price the cable at 70 bucks...
It kind of sucks that the included fans arent Riing Plus but non Plus and then show the Plus on the product pictures. Because from what i heard the non Plus cant show Multiple Colors at once. And it also kind of sucks that your Coolers dont cover damaged components when it leaks otherwise i'dve gone with that :(
No one ever shows how to open the shit Thermaltake front panels. Why can't it just be a simple latch that lifts it up or better, MAKE THE FRONT TEMPERED GLASS.
thermaltake's products are getting better and improving day by day. love the new logo as well!
When the L.E.D.s came on i honestly thought to myself... WOW!!! Holly Schmidt, very nice Thermaltake! I am definitely going to take a serious look at your products for my next custom PC. Kudos!
13:30 you'll see what I mean, wait 3-4 seconds for it....
But now i know i can go slim on the top + thicker in the front !!! ty
RammeR One of the great things about our cases is the cooling fitment. Thx for the feedback!!
Thermal Mike it rly is! updating my rig in 1-2 mounths and that is def the case ill go with. Mike any info if the case will have an option with 120mm fans? I mean will it be avivable to buy with 3x 120mm insted of the 140mm fans which are stock atm. Thx
RammeR Both models of the View 31 only come with 140's. If you planning 120mm, just get the non-RGB model :)
Thermal Mike thx. I will, have a nice day ;) !
The lighting effect at 13:36 is gorgeous!
Wait a minute.. you guys make and include a GPU riser bracket with the case then go ahead and sell the connector ribbon separately... that's a slap in the face to customers it should be included with the case.
Grizzly PC you have a point but I from the start was never gonna use the gpu riser, but yeah they should have included it. But I love my case still
Options are better than having no options and paying more.
Plot twist, I bought this case last year, no bracket was included
how many drive bays are included? is it only 3? I would like to be able to use 5 drives
i agree with Sakage, the Shroud for the PSU it would make that case look real nice.
Very nice case. Love the side graphics card mounting and the water cooling pump & receiver combo!!!
Saw this build at PAX, looks even better in real life great work!!
Been looking for a case to upgrade to. I have found it. i love the look of it and for my first custom loop i think this will be the best case for it! cannot wait to pick it up and all my other goodies to make it! thanks for the great build video!
Is there a way to set the colors of the ring fans to just one or two particular colors??
You sir have sold me on this case! I’ve been looking to get into water cooling and this is the case for me 👍
The big question is, does the View 31 support two large GPUs (for SLI - namely, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 from EVGA) with one card mounted vertically - on air cooling? THAT would be impressive, and pretty much make this a guaranteed buy for me.
Kaidesa Yes is can support your config, I have this car and have plenty of space for the FTW 3 cards.
looks great. love the sleeved cable kit !
Great chase for modding...I have changed mobo backplate, psu cover installed, psu back mask too, than I have modded front side to fit in 420mm rad and I have modded new I/O panel :D now,I have striped all the paint and its ready for painting xD
I’m looking for the bar on the front so I can put the 3rd exhaust fan.
case looks nice, i love the gpu bracket idea but i hate this rgb color cycle effect tbh
I have fast fallen in love with this case. I keep asking Linus and HardwareCanucks to show it but no reply yet :(
same
the front of the case not much air flow temp will be high. They should of had a front with a hole mess so you can get air into the front of the case
not really friend, the casing air flow is actually very good, im using 240slim rad with custom loop for my ryzen5 1600, overclocked at 3.8ghz running at 100% 24/7, im getting solid 47C all the time. Im staying in pretty warm country as well with 35C in the afternoon.

Vertical mount + water is very cool combo
thermaltake seems to be a very professional company and I m happy about them. in all terms

Now this is a must have case good job thermaltake
Is it possible to use full air cooling (cpu tower and multiple chassis fans) for sufficient cooling in this case? Would be a temporary measure while saving to build my custom loop, tyia.
why the helll would you put the PSU upside down ? theres a filter on the bottom of the case for the PSU intake!
Hello, i hope you can reply please, can i put 3 fans in the front (120mm) and inside the case behind them a 280 clc radiator?
Mike, If you mount a slim 360 in the top is it possible to use a thicker 360 radiator on the front?
Ron Henderson You can do high capacity rads on it as well, it just will make the space tighter for tube work.
That was great! Hey.... QUESTION: With the vertical GPU mount is there enough room for a "3 slot card" like the Gigabyte 1080 Ti Extreme Card?
I have two EK-CoolStream PE 360 radiators. Can be mounted in this tower?
this is a stupid question but if I buy this case do I have to water cool my processor? cause I have a couple fans that i'd rather use.
can you use any riser cable with the bracket or does it have to be a thermaltake riser cable only?
Did you get all of those RGB fans and fittings plugged into a single controller? If so, did you use cable splitters. I can't imagine a controller with that many plug-ins.
can you fit 2x 200mm fans to the front side??? The manual says you can fit only one but i see there is room (and probably holes) for another one.
Hey Mike. Can you please tell what kind of RGB fans are included with Thermaltake View 31 RGB version and how you control them. Are they one of the newest ones or older version.
Marcin Wasik They are the 1st Gen RGB Fans with the buttons on the controller. If you plan to go with the newer versions, grab the non RGB one and save some $$$
buid this extacly the same :D but now.. How can I get the water out of my watercooling?
Ive got something similar to this set up in my view 31. Im having a issue with the airflow through the front panel, as it only has a small amount of mesh. If only it had an option for a full mesh front.
Why Not Shroud For Powersupply. I Know Yours Has Rgb But Still A Shroud Would Be The Icing.
Sakage Great question! I did it this way because yes the psu, BUT we do offer a power supply cover accessory for the view 31, it is the same as the Suppressor F31 :) so grab that and you can clean up the bottom even more.
Thermal Mike thanks for the reply Mike I'll look into that.
I guess some people like a shroud and I am really pleased to hear that it is available as an accessory, but if you buy a really nice PSU, you kinda want to show that off, at least I do!
Any idea where we can get this PSU shroud from in the UK? Your website doesn't seem to be working when I click on "Buy".
is this cover available in the EU? cant find a shop right now who is selling it
Hi the project is the hammer looks very good and you have the very well explained great video would be synonymous for my new project a consideration. Gruß aus Germany
When will the Riing Plus single fan be released? I'm rocking the original riing rgb fans I need 4 fans for my build if I upgrade to the riing plus and I really like how nice they look.
XxDaredevil595xX Hope to have an announcement soon, we also working on other "kits" as well up to 5-Fan Packs so watch for those.
Thermal Mike thanks
You killed me when you said its "important to install the io shield"
I don't see a link for the sleeve fitting :( , don't know what size, brand to buy?
How about some RGB sleeve cables. They would look really cool.
One thing I would love to see is a case like this with at least one optical drive. And a swing away glass front. Putting drive on very top would be nice for someone like me who likes to download CDs and watch Blue Ray movies from my computer. Plz make this
are the rgb corsair hd fans better?
O'Brian Tomlinson The hd120 and 240 models are definitely better if you get the controller with them.
Can I install a 360 radiator vertically in the case?
so total how many fans can be installed in that casing?
what is the maximum radiator thickness you can use in this case?
how many stock intake does it come with pls answer
'
how many of those fan controllers did you use?????
hi where is a the psu cage? i dont want my psu to take all the hot air of my gpu :/ and i dont want to see my cables
I am doing a 2x 360 rad on top with a a rgb floe riing plus rgb 360 aio liquid cooler. Would that be a problem for this case?
I dont think you can fit 2 rads on the top! But yes the case supports 360mm length rads in the top/front configs :P
Thermal Mike can I put a 280mm radiator on top with RGB high profile Ram in view 31 ? ?
Depends more on the thickness of the rad vs the length. Thanks for the question!
Thermal Mike Thank you so much.
A question. I can install DVD or Bluray drives in that ATX case? 😕
Rob King I have it's and I think no, at least I can't
No but you can buy cheap external USB optical drives that you just plug in outside of your case whenever you need to use them.
will this case fit eatx 12x10.7?
Can someone please tell me if this case supports a 280mm radiator pull and push on top?
Can you do a sick loop on the core x5?
If i wanna mount my GPU vertically, can i do so without buying anything extra? Or nah?
No you need to buy the thermaltake riser cable to mount the GPU vertically.
Can I install 3 140mm fans on the front using the included bracket @ 8:01?
Han I have this case and I can confirm that you can I actually have a 280mm with push pull and then I still have space for another 140mm in the bottom.
how did you handle the 10 fans
will the side GPU bracket block all other PCI slots?
No, it is offset from the rest and you can still use the other slots for other devices depending on height of it of course.
Are the Riing fans with the View 31 RGB case compatible with the RGB app
To keep costs competitive we include the analog version of the Riing Fans. We also offer a non-RGB model of the case if you have plans for using different fans. In the video we went with the Riing Plus to show the best option :)
No is what he is saying
the fans in this case have 3, 5 pin ch fans can someone please tell me how I plug them in my mother board when mother boards only come with 3 pin and 4 pin ch fan connections mine has 4 pin for speed control. I need help or Im just going to sen it back to amazon. to bad its not a bad case but about to throw it out the window
hate the case love the fittings
To bad it's acrylic and not real glass in the front.
So, Thermal Mike... where do you get the shroud for the PSU?
store.thermaltakeusa.com/inside03.php?s=44&k=204&a=2308
Not for the View 31, it says for the Suppressor F31? Also, anywhere in the UK/EU selling it?
The View 31 and F31 are similar cases. You'd have to toy around with it, but it does work.
Cheers Ryan
why is the front panel plastic and not tempered glass?
can you sli gpus if you display them on their sides?
Alex Lap you could put 1 card in traditionally and one in vertical, but the case is designed for 1 vertical. Check out our Core P5/P3
for the riser cable...how long?200 or 300 mm?
300m. I'm using a coolermaster 200mm riser cable and it will only reach the second X16 slot on my strix X99 mobo. Also due to the way the GPU mounts to the bracket you will need a Thermaltake riser to secure the GPU correctly.
Thanks! i have the same thermaltake case.
So disappointed this doesn't include the GPU RISER!
nothing new but great presenter #thermalmike!
Darkmoor Thank you!
can i install two mobo on it?
Pro tip: Unless you are liquid cooling your GPU, DO NOT use the vertical mount. There's not enough space for your GPU fans to cool properly and your temps will shoot up! That's a design flaw that Thermaltake has to address.
I really like the case but would be better to have psu shroud or just create custom psu shroud. sorry for the poor english
How tf do you get the front off
I Love , Thermaltake :)
In the gpu mount. The space is very less my rog strix 1060 is so big will it fit?? Anyone ??
Vineeth jarvis probably
How many fans can fit on it
9 in total depending on other components.
Every 25 seconds in this video this guy has to give a big shout out to someone or something. Dude just build the pc.
Greenie!!!
How much did the whole build cost?
The Jam Man Depending on GPU/CPU for something like this around 3-4K
The Jam Man I totally added it up in my head. You see the parts list, just depends on like fittings and what YOU plan to do :) So don't beat me up on the price lol
Cheers Mike
why do PSU fans have RGB? When will you ever look under your PC?
philisacoolguy1 You can face em up. Its no huge difference.
they shoukd have at least an option where you can cover up the psu cables underneath :)) just sayin..
i have same case :) and i still love it :) haha

Full of shit through and through. You can't do that with anything that comes with anything that he mentioned.
Wow!
that 24 FPS camera though...
This guy never said “um” once
cool video but i think we are loosing control on RGB. i really dont like these christmas trees...
Thermaltake have started with great case idea, BUT WHY do they think anybody wants glass on the rear ? I like the rest enough to maybe buy, but would have to Black out the rear panel. Car screen tint maybe. No mention of dust filtration for front, does it have any ???
Stephen Cooney Thanks for the feedback! the panels are tinted, so if you are not running led strips on the top, your good.

Ya right
No one ever shows how to open the shit Thermaltake front panels. Why can't it just be a simple latch that lifts it up or better, MAKE THE FRONT TEMPERED GLASS.
z170? it is too 2016
lazlo because it was the best neutral color mb I had for all the rrrgbbb's haha!
Dont buy TT cases with fan contoller, its flawed you cannot control fan speed!!!!!!
31 or 71 I need help lol
