Hello Please could you help me? I am struggling to pronounce even my native language correctly. For example, when I say "thing," it comes out sounding like "king" or "timg." Similarly, "car" often sounds like "tar" when I try to say it. This has been a challenge for me since birth, and now that I'm 18, i don't know why this happens may be i am lazy to pronounce or i just can't.And also,there are no specialists or professionals nearby who can help. I'm not sure what steps to take to improve my pronunciation, especially since surgery or other interventions aren't available options. Thank you.

my child has stammering problem ,he;s 11 yrs old, most of the times he speaks normal and fluent....but sometimes he do get stuck in some words and he gets very concious while he get stuck or id say he gets conscious and get stuck ....due to this problem he sometimes cry and gets damn upset ...mam plss suggest any cure /exercise which can help him to come out of this problem ....he feels very demotivated cause of this problem he hesitate taking part in any activity especilly debate/prayer choir/thought of the day speaking and other which are related to speak in public. MAM plss help.
I am a bit confused, as the first letter in the SODA acronym stands for something that I learned was a phonological process (substitution). I didn't realize that could also be an articulation disorder characteristic! I enjoy your content! Keep it up!! It's helping me through my COMD classes ❤️

One of my girls (2 and 1/2) is speaking so very much and the other is not speaking clearly or as much. I'm afraid something is awry, but still don't know. My son would have died had we "not googled his issues" and just sat back to "wait and see" what happens. So I am being proactive with my daughter and am watching videos regarding speech difficulties and 2 and 1/2 year old development in order to search for answers. Great vid, I appreciate it. I'm an adult, and I suspect that I may have a phonological disorder. I could be wrong, but based on what you're saying this may be my issue. I have struggled to talk my entire life. I've always felt like I'm not speaking correctly, although my sentence structure is correct. Often times when I tell jokes, people don't find it funny, although the content and structure of my humor is golden. I have heard people tell the same jokes and others will laugh. Many times I will say the same words in different tones under the same situation. I have a difficult time knowing if what I'm saying has been perceived properly by my audience and I usually gauge their reaction, which is typically bland. In some cases I could be monotoned even though I am excited. Many times I'm scared to talk because of how I sound, which has created social anxiety. The social anxiety has made my voice even worse under social situation. There's even times I've noticed that I will have random high pitched or low pitches randomly in my verbiage. Does this sound like I could have a phonemic issue? If so, what would be a treatment option for adults with what I present with? Thank you in advance for your reply. 😃
My 5 yr old has problems with the L. But, she can make the sound. For instance, the word lots. She will substitute With the W . Whereas the word Yellow, she hits the L sound in the middle but, also substitutes the. Y with L saying Lellow. Would you have any suggestions?
Im so confused. My son has speech delay and was recommended speecb therapy and when he started school i was told the school would be able to provide help for him. The teachers and i have been keeping an eye on him and his struggle areas, after some months passed we talked again and she discussed areas he's still struggling in compared to others kids in sk. I went to my child's pediatrician who printed me a letter recomending speech therapy as the teacher suggested so they could submit it to the school and get him further help. I did what she said and they turned him down, they tell me all the areas he's struggling and mostly with understanding and communication and sentences and then they tell me now his articulation is fine he may need another kind of help. Im so confused at what that means and so frustrated, its costs an extra $1000 a month that i dont have for speech therapy and i was told the school would help and if theyre so concerned why are they not helping. The pediatrician wa supset when insaid the school would need a letter before they can help out my son and he said " if they know he needs help why do they need a letter from me that's their job." My son has come a long way from speaking one word to now telling me what he wanta or doesnt want and speaks alot more but the understabding part and getting into class routine he still need reminders and that push everyday. I dont understand because my brother received help in school and he only had a.d.d. my son needs that extra help and i dont know what to do. I do my part at home but im not professional And the thing the teachers cant understand is how well he reads they are always amazed but he just doesn't always understand when theyll ask him questions about what he just read.
I will save and review this again and again. Most helpful for understanding t he differentiation of terms. Now, how to best remediate these differences in children as a teacher of O.G?

Being diagnosed a dyslexic a few years ago, your video is very interesting. Again, being dyslexic, as a dyslexic, for me, it is a little hard to follow, your video; although I have only watched it once. Consider using a flip chart for a more visual presentation. I now go to college and my biggest drawbacks are my inability to read fast enough to keep up, and my inability keeping my mind focused on what I'm reading. I would love to read faster and at the same time comprehend to the max. I enjoyed your excellent video and let me encourage you to keep up your good works. Believe me when I tell you that dyslexics need all the help they can get. It is very frustrating to be a dyslexic in a "non-dyslexic world". FR

My son is 20 months. He doesnt really have many words but understands very well and can complete tasks. His eye contact as well as other milestones have been spot on. He laughs mostly through his nose and makes a lot of noises through his nose. When he says cheese it sounds like xxeese or doggy sounds like doxxy. He can imitate the rasberry noise or bbbbb and he whines when he wants something through his nose. But cries through his mouth. What do you make of this?
Hi Robyn Hood :) Around the age of two we would like to see around 50 words. If you have concerns, this is something you may want to reach out to a local SLP or talk with the pediatrician. It also sounds like he makes a lot of nasal sounds? I can't diagnosis anything over the internet, but sometimes there may be something structural going on in the mouth which his doctor may be able to see. If not, ENT could be helpful as well. I hope this helps!
