Haha... Now time for a real "initial briefing" FO: sup skipper CA: sup dude how's it hanging? FO: a little to the left CA: lol, you got your charts? FO: yup CA: thank god, I hope you did your revisions... Lmao
99% of what this guy briefs is spelled out in standard operating procedures, has been trained in sims, and has already been practiced on the airplane. Honestly, our company would never allocate us enough time to brief like this.
Seems like an exaggerated schoolbook example. Can't imagine a captain talking about his flying career before each flight. Also I don't think there is a need to tell pilots what they must write down (unless if there is a special reason for it).
What's the atmosphere and vibe like in a real briefing?..I mean I can imagine them being more informal than this...but how informal? Do they sit down at tables n be all professional n stuff in the same vein as this video..or do they crack open a pre-flight beer, watch a bit of tele then...."let's do this" *fistpunch*...and out to the airplane?
What are those paper things they keep looking at? Where're their iPads? As with all of the briefings in this series, this one is too long to be believable. (The departure briefing in this series took like 5 min.) Seriously, it would be great to have so much time. But we have these things called schedules. But it is an FAA video after all, and they all set high standards that don't apply to real life. PS. I reported the racist comment on this date.
We would literally never get off the ground if we actually went through it like this….
I was so disappointed when I figured out it wasn’t key and Peele!!!
hahahahaha same thought

Made for UA-cam briefing. In reality it's called the 10 second brief, M S D - Y S D. My shits done , your shits done. Lets go...
3:38 "why the hell did i become a pilot?"
"verbalize" oh and the way the light shines off from his head.

This is the most unrealistic briefing example I have ever seen 😂
In all honesty those FOs look so scared it’s almost like they weren’t told this wasn’t for real.

Ugggh.... No wonder we have a pilot shortage. Its not really like this I promise.

Too much for an initial briefing

This was filmed before ipads became a thing for pilots.
