Hands down La Masia is the goat. It helped Xavi when he needed players with Barca DNA. Now it is helping Flick when he needs players with good chemistry.
La Masia is the best football academy in the world. Probably number one in the world in scouting talent and producing it. Almost all La Masia players are the most wanted players by other European clubs while they are still in the academy. I bet you if Laporta can decide to sell all Barca Atletico players, they will be gone in seconds.

This is why Raphinha seems to be shining the brightest under this “free” instruction. Under Xavi he was forced out wide, never allowed to cut in. At Leeds that was never how he played.
Xavi was stuck to his ideas and failed to see that in modern football players have to have freedom to roam the pitch. And we can already see how our attack is flourishing already.
Stop comparing flick to Xavi in terms of management styles because they're completely different Xavi won a league title we have to wait to see what flick wins before he is hyped because winning a few games 5-0 doesn't guarantee you anything, we beat real madrid 4-0 under Xavi they still won the league and UCL that same season
The difference lies in what players you have and what they’d rather suffer for. Messi, iniesta, xavi, and co… enjoyed keeping the ball and flexing their tactical biceps against any and all opponents. They went the extra mile to demonstrate they were better at football than everyone. This generation does not necessarily see football that way. They’d much rather play in quick transitions, play vertical if they have to. But ultimately, getting inside the box as fast as possible seems to suit them much better than what xavi was trying to force upon them. I say let them have fun with what they actually enjoy!
Everything has its evolution. The truth is that lately the matches of the teams that used tiki taka became very boring, since the rivals know very well how to counteract it.
one common mistake everybody makes is thinking Barca's DNA playstyle is to make 600 passes, 90% of possession, small midfielders with great technique.......nope, Barça's playstyle is literally what Flick is doing, this is exactly what Rinus Michels (the creator of Barça's total football) said, demon high press from minute 0 to 90
The DNA of their short-pass play will never disappear, and even though Flick's tactics are more dynamic and goal-oriented, the players who came up from La Masia will never lose their ability to escape pressure and their creative short-pass skills
Actually, last season Xavi also spread the players as wide as possible, making the pitch seem bigger. He did this every game. I remember because there was times I would wish that we played more vertically. With Flick, he has the experience and knowledge to execute it.

Funny enough i used this tactic while playing efootball, its really risky because you really have a lack of defense and once your enemy gets the ball you just hope your defensive skills can work
4-2-1-3 quick counter is terrifying without good dmfs like vieira and defensive fullbacks, changed to long ball counter for the deep defensive line and never looked back

what is german or spanish football these days? it is modern football. whats the difference between german high paced football and spanish high paced football? no difference. because it is played in Spain it's called spanish or what? Spanish football is not associated only with Barca's style which is interpretation of dutch total football. Bilbao play counterattack direct football. Atleti played pure counterattack football during their peak in 2010s. Getafe played pressing football until recently. Sevilla played pressing football with Mendilibar. Girona play direct. Spanish NT played direct physical football until late 00s. Germany NT played possession football with Jogi Loew in 2010s. And now with Nagelsmann. German league have teams that play direct like Bilbao or pressing football but also teams that play possession like Stuttgart or BVB (under new coach) or Bayern or Leverkusen. or St Pauli from last season. or Magdeburg from second division. Both Germany and Spain have continental football influence (as in control of midfield and possession). In 1970s Germany played their own version of total football that Dutch popularized in early 70s. They built from the back and played through midfield. Germany of 1972 was named best team of Europe and team that played football of year 2000. Keeping possession is not Spanish thing. it is European Continental thing. Historically in Europe teams played slower than in England. Germany just also had influence of english football in the past. Bayern played possession football in 1970s (they were coached by Hungarian coaches - ex-players of wonder team from Hungary that played short passing football). Then since 2009 with hiring of Louis Van Gaal Bayern have been playing with same philosophy as Barca - variation of total football (possession, control of midfield, domination, pressing). Dutch team that played total football in 1970s were about pressing, energy, rotation of positions. Short passing is element of every team in modern football. Spain or Barca didnt invent short passing football. Tiki-taka is nonsense, it's not style of play. it's just meaningless short passing. What Barca played under Pep or Cruyff was version of total football. With Cruyff it was actually more freedom for star players. So Flick is actually close to Cruyff. And Flick shares same total football philosophy. And is fan of Cruyff and Pep. At Bayern he just returned to Pep's settings when Kovac got sacked. Bayern retained a lot o possession and dominated teams under him. You look at it from wrong angle. Barca style is spanish version of total football (which is attacking proactive football with rotations and good counterpressing - go and watch Pep's Barca and their insane counterpress vs Arsenal in 2010). It is not about triangles and mere short passing. Any coach is aware of triangles in order to maintain possession. Flick's Barca using same third man runs as it was main play by Pep's Barca too. Flick just adjusting new ways to main idea of total football. Because modern football is changing and positional rigidity doesnt work anymore.
The biggest problem Barça had was thinking that they could play the same as they did when they had Iniesta, Busquets, Xavi and Messi. We are talking about 4 of the most technically gifted players in the history of the sport. It's impossible to replicate that style. Even when they won the second treble Luis Enrique shifted to a more direct style of football that saw Xavi fall off the starting eleven in place of Rakitic. It's the same with this generation of Masia players, they are technically gifted for sure, but not on the same level and they see football in a different way. Plus forcing players to play like Xavi used to, means your window of players from outside the club that can integrate to that style is severly limited which is why a lot of the big signings like Coutinho, Griezmann and Dembele failed at the club. And like everything styles come and go and teams get better and better at countering you. Barça was playing the same way for over 15 years, so of course teams knew exactly how to play against them and with the quality of the players that suited that style of play diminishing then they reached a point that they can still use the same technically gifted players la masia produces but in a different style of football. Which is why Flick is excelling at now.

Best straight forward tactical channel without irrelevant dialogue and just straight to the point. Easy to understand for tactical nerds like me. hahaha
His style is very similar to pep's barca style of play only difference is the freedom but the players being wide, cb going up top and players making runs in behind pep also did that during his time at barca. Its only since Enrique they become more narrower and made it easier for the opposition to break them down
It is very exciting to see this renewed tiki taka but my concern is to see how we react to low defensive blocks, because even Guardiola’s teams struggled with these kind of situations.
In my opinion, the elements of tiki-taka have not completely changed or disappeared in Barcelona's game under Hansi Flick. Short passes, triangles, and individual player skills in 1v1s with opponents are some of the elements of tiki-taka that are still present in Hansi Flick's game However, what is clearly different is that everything is more direct now. The elements above are included in Hansi Flick's very direct game where the ball flows very quickly and players always try to create space every time they have the ball
You did not mention the world class offside trape, Barca caught their opponent 63 times offside which is double the 2nd most team in Europe top 5 league, anyway amazing video!!
Great video as always. The interesting thing with Flick's Barca and Klopp's Liverpool, they were seen as very direct and all that, and I'm not saying they were not but if you look at their possession numbers and pass completion stats, they'd look like a typical dominant possession team. So I'm not disputing that their teams were not more direct than Positional play teams but it's not like they were not trying to keep the ball fairly well either. Or could it be that teams just sat very deep against them, which allowed them keep the ball really well?
nice video thank you💙 but i was hoping that you focus more on defence because i think the advance defence and the offside trap played a key role in the team win
I love the details bro, but I believe with Frenkie Dejong back the midfield will be stable and if Araujo and Christensen returns that Backline will be strong and athletic. If Barcelona recovers their injured players they will be really difficult to beat

The editing is a piece of art.. I got hooked in the first minute of the video.
Great work in general.. love the video
Brilliant, absolutely phenomenal graphic design and video editing.
as a Barca fan, I can truly understand how Hansi won the sextuple with Bayern thanks for explaining their tactics this can actually help me with my decision-making btw I am still pissed off at the Bayern president for sacking Hansi a manager like him deserves more respect than that let us continue to encourage hansi through his journey with Barcelona in hopes that they might win the sextuple with the UCL this season to prove haters wrong
I am a huge Barça fan and I was wondering why Bayern fired Flick he had Bayern playing great football.Historical mistake.
Here after 0-4. Thank you Flick 😂
Pls post more oftenm your videos are so enjoyable, fun to watch and easy to understand. Keep Going🎉
Its only since Enrique they become more narrower and made it easier for the opposition to break them down
It is very exciting to see this renewed tiki taka but my concern is to see how we react to low defensive blocks, because even Guardiola’s teams struggled with these kind of situations.
huh? we have already beaten multiple low block teams in la liga.
In my opinion, the elements of tiki-taka have not completely changed or disappeared in Barcelona's game under Hansi Flick. Short passes, triangles, and individual player skills in 1v1s with opponents are some of the elements of tiki-taka that are still present in Hansi Flick's game
However, what is clearly different is that everything is more direct now. The elements above are included in Hansi Flick's very direct game where the ball flows very quickly and players always try to create space every time they have the ball
The way flick handles the long balls over the top is through an extremely disciplined offside trap.
Amazing flick, barca strong, flick the best
I don't know why i am happy 😁
Thanks 🙏 for the information i have been waiting since 3 weeks
Thank you so much for your patience!❤😁
Can you do a Vincent Kompany Bayern Munich tactics. The way they score 9 goals in a single game like it is nothing is quite interesting
JUST TO LOSE TO VILLA
@@damerapsang5322 even Barca lost to Monaco what do you mean by that??
@@Rexonic926 Was Bayern playing with 10 men for 80+ minutes?

Felt the same...genius transition
how is this account not even 1 mil subs yet . Truly amazing explanation details and video
Your work is quality! Really enjoy your videos and editing
nice video thank you💙
but i was hoping that you focus more on defence because i think the advance defence and the offside trap played a key role in the team win
Great explaining and thumbs up for brave couches who try new tactics
I love the details bro, but I believe with Frenkie Dejong back the midfield will be stable and if Araujo and Christensen returns that Backline will be strong and athletic. If Barcelona recovers their injured players they will be really difficult to beat
Casado is playing great as a CDM. FDJ will swap with Pedri, who's been doing great in his role as well.
@@Ashhad1400in big games casado can’t play we need experience players like frenkie
@@liibanboojo1673you need a lone pivot and that's what cassado is
@@liibanboojo1673 how do you know he can't play? he has to start in big games to build confidence. i like him even more in first 11 than frenkie due to his long injury

WHAT A GREAT WAY TO EXPLAIN IT. SO EASY TO UNDERSTAND . GREAT VIDEO.
Love your video mate... Keep it going.. much love
I’ve been saying this for years. Tiki taka is over. Every team will low block and wait it out. Thank you Flick for introducing a new philosophy without completely losing the Barca DNA.
Here after 4:0 vs Madrid. I love you Flick
That is the best explanation of flick's tactics i found.
Great job man!
That's one of the most beautiful teams right now. Flik gives it new life.
this is an amazing video, this could be on netflix
This is a really great video, I loved the part where you translated the tactics into fm, now I can play just like Hansi flick's barça plays
Such a well made video, props to you guys
Tiki-Taka has run its course, football is evolving. Flick is playing a direct and precise style of football, and I like it.
Tonight barca 4-1 Bryan😊 as a barca fan best night for me ❤
12:20 i cant unsee the german pp
Finally bro love you
i'll be watching barca's game in a different way after this video. Great Video!
