The secret to every big team is a solid midfield that works well together, we saw this with Xavi, busqets and Iniesta , experienced technical and fluid, this was the same with Madrid with kroos, modric and casemiro Our issues started the moment one our 3 midfielders retired and then we suffered the most last season with busqets also moving on, Madrid on the hand were able to scale through issues because they were able to replace casemiro who was the least technical among the 3 , now that their most important midfielder (kroos) has left its now an issue for them because they don’t have a replacement We built well with gavi and pedri bet we didn’t have a cdm until Casado and Bernal, now all is needed is time and we should dominate
Proof yet again that having the best managers at club level (Enrique being another example) does not automatically guarantee success in international football
I agree with a lot of things said in this video, but one thing I absolutely don't agree with is saying that Flick's philosophy doesn't align with Barca's DNA, if anything it aligns better than anyone else's. Barca seek to take control of the game and play beautiful football, achieving this with their high press and offensive mindset, Barca aren't just tiki taka, Barca teams since Rinus Michels focus on a high press and offensive football, either by quick transitions and hyper aggressive pressure like Flick, or by super high possession and positional play like Pep.
Yeah pressing was always part of total football. Ruthless competitive play encapsulates everything about it. If anything promoting from within just re-envigorates the first team with the principles the manager is already working to.

As barcelona fans we should hold our breath and be not too excited about the current early achievements. Frenkie de Jong will not be a rotational player, he is way to good for that. People somehow always seem so eager to point ou his flaw, but all managers mainly look at his strengths and he has been starting for every manager since his arrival, whenever available, and in a lot of different roles. The double pivot system also really suits him so he should flourish in Flicks Barcelona. It is much more likely that Gavi will be a rotational player. De Jong will be starting whenever possible, unless he is be sold to plug financial gaps, as when fit he is still a player that every manager would want.

Really great video! I have been a very long time Barça fan. It's nice to see where the club is heading. I think Spanish futbal, in general, is experiencing a resurgence in strength through it's youth at places like La Masia. The national team's manager was also half the team's youth coach, and ironically, a sizable portion of the team are from La Masia/Barcelona. It even feels like they (Spain) play a similar style to current Barcelona at times...so it was a good partnership with Hansi Flick. As for Flick having a terrible WC with Germany, that was a very distracted team. They were more interested in making political statements than they were in playing soccer...reminds me of our (US) women's national team that I can't cheer for anymore. Political nonsense aside, I have also always enjoyed watching Germany lose, even if I have always loved most of their players, like Rüdiger, Wirtz, ter Stegen, Gündoğan, and long time favorite Thomas Müller, who I nearly felt sad for on the bench as my Barça decisively thrashed FCBM in what I can only describe as sweet, sweet revenge at the hands of a former coach. That's why I love this sport!
They are amazing again because there weren't any consequences to their terrible financial mismanagement. Any other team that is much smaller would have already been dissolved
The balls of Barcelona to play a high line to near perfection against Madrid AT THEIR OWN HOME is why I love this upturn for my club. Flick, despite me being skeptical if I may admit, has turned this team around and we play with our heart again. No more fear, just trust in each other and the coach. I hope this can continue
Not saying Pep wasn't a massive success for them, but when I think of the Barca success this century, it kinda snowballs from Rijkaard's team into Pep's. Rijkaard gave so many lads debuts & game time. Iniesta & Messi were first team regulars for them by the time Pep shows up but the likes of Ronaldinho, Deco, Larsson & Giuly often get forgotten for not being Pep players, but all of them played key roles in Barca becoming a big club again.

Flick's understanding and focus on Athletic strenght allows players to trully play in their best way , they dont train to have a good looking bodies they train to have good working bodies , thats an area where Ronaldo arguably cost himself because he was "overweight" by putting on unnesecary muscle to cater towards his social media presence , that has helped him now that is old to stay within the limits but wasnt optimal for him for his past years , (same reason why bodybuilders and actuall athletes look nothing alike Nate Diaz looks like a dad who walks to work for a workout and he could run circles around guys double his size who are bodybuilders ffs )

Barce isn't just any other team. It will never be dissolved as it is owned by the fans
Would you like some pepper with your salt? 😂
You don't have a clue
You've just gained a follower
I am Madrid fan but i always really liked klopp and Flick's style of high pressing. So i am really enjoying Barcelona's game now.
Cole Palmer with the press: What…?
Hansi Flick in the press: Che….?
The balls of Barcelona to play a high line to near perfection against Madrid AT THEIR OWN HOME is why I love this upturn for my club. Flick, despite me being skeptical if I may admit, has turned this team around and we play with our heart again. No more fear, just trust in each other and the coach. I hope this can continue
8:45 im crying that’s an amazing tactic😭😭😭😭
Not saying Pep wasn't a massive success for them, but when I think of the Barca success this century, it kinda snowballs from Rijkaard's team into Pep's. Rijkaard gave so many lads debuts & game time. Iniesta & Messi were first team regulars for them by the time Pep shows up but the likes of Ronaldinho, Deco, Larsson & Giuly often get forgotten for not being Pep players, but all of them played key roles in Barca becoming a big club again.
Been waiting for your content about this.
Thank you .
Give praise to Flick. He was so blamed for Germany’s failure but his talent is unquestioned.
crazy how the first 10 mins of the video describing ficks time is almost identical to ten hags... only thing thats different is the competition and the ball hitting the net.
Every club and national team needs to prioritize their young players instead of buying overpriced foreignors
