All trail cameras I have known take a few seconds to start up. Generally, heat signature triggered cameras do not work well in the summer when the surrounding temperature is higher or close to that of the target and fiendly creature. Passive InfraRed (PIR) sensors do not work well on hot summer days. It is good if there is a secondary trigger option like a pressure plate and wires connected to a "normally open" (NO) electrical relay trigger input (some have it)
Thanks for doing these camera reviews Tim, I operate a couple blocks as an absentee owner and am in the market for a phone service security option. Good to know the capabilities for the different options. Cheers

Hi. i bought the same camera. did you get any issues with the sim card slot? mine keeps losing connection and the only way is to tape that little sim lid. thanks

@@FarmLearningTim thanks for the reply. i realised that i have never clicked in the sim ahhah thats why i kept losing connection. just rechecked before 😅
